All Emmerdale cast returns, exits and new arrivals in 2025
In recent months we've bid farewell to Rachael Gill-Davis, who played Gail Loman.
Another departee was Paula Lane's Ella Forster, who left the Dales in the back of a police car after just fifteen months onscreen.
There was also the much anticipated return of Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) who came back to the village following a prison stint and is now warring with his evil brother John (Oliver Farnworth).
In the coming months, more changes are afoot… so here's the lowdown on who is returning, leaving and arriving in the ITV soap…
19-year old Gabrielle Dowling has also left the soap – but she will be back.
Recent storylines have included Cathy coming to terms with a PMDD diagnosis, and also dealing with the horrific death of twin brother Heath, played by Gabrielle's brother Sebastian, who passed away following a car accident.

When is Cathy Hope returning to Emmerdale? Currently unknown.
Emmerdale boss Laura Shaw has confirmed the return of Fred Kettle as Dylan Penders.
The homeless friend of April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) will return to the ITV soap in the coming months.
'He's going to be bringing the past back to the village with him which causes huge problems for April and the wider family' she said.
'We've got a couple of exciting new castings for that story, but I've been told I'm not allowed to tell you yet.'
In upcoming scenes we'll see him reunite with April and reveal he's on the straight and narrow – but ends up landing himself in hot water at Butler's Farm!
When is Dylan Penders returning to Emmerdale? Week commencing 28th July.
Notorious EastEnders villain Chris Coghill is making a return to the world of soap, playing mysterious newcomer Kev in Emmerdale.
The actor, best known to soap fans as evil paedophile Tony King, will become a permanent fixture in the Yorkshire Dales from September.
Emmerdale boss Laura Shaw said: 'We are delighted that someone of Chris' calibre has joined our cast. I think the viewers will be intrigued to see how the character of Kev will cause shockwaves this autumn. More Trending
'Kev has a strong connection to one of our characters and it's safe to say his arrival is going to be a massive surprise that will have major repercussions for some of our villagers.'

Jack P Shepherd, known for his role as David Platt on the long-running ITV soap, recently tied the knot with his partner, Hanni Treweek, but revealed that he had a certain issue prior to the big day Jack P Shepherd has dubbed some of his recent wedding guests "f***ing idiots" for asking a specific question about the proceedings. In a new episode of the On The Sofa podcast with fellow Coronation Street stars Colson Smith and Ben Price (recorded prior to his marriage to Hanni Treweek), the David Platt actor opened up about his wedding preparations. On Saturday (July 26), the happy couple tied the knot at Manchester Cathedral, surrounded by loved ones. It included his podcast co-hosts, Colson and Ben, who would serve as his groomsmen on the day. Jack noted at the time of the recording that it was the "kick-b*****k scramble" week before the wedding, a time when they had to address the "nitty gritty bits", prompting Colson to ask if there had been any cancellations. He said: "I've had a few f***ing idiots saying things like - it's mainly family." Colson interjected, noting that he was, in fact, a "f***ing idiot", to which Jack replied: "Oh, was ya?" Jack continued: "Saying stuff like, 'Well, where do we get ready, because the wedding's at two, but we can't check in till three?' I said, 'At f***ing home, you idiot. I mean, where do you think you get ready if you can't get ready in the hotel?" Elaborating, he pointed out that people could arrive at the hotel and do what "normal people" do by dropping their bags off. Despite this, it appears that the wedding went off without a hitch. In what they described as "the wedding of our dreams", Jack arrived in a red Mustang and wore an off-white suit, sunglasses and bow-tie. Meanwhile, Hanni, donning a tiara, reportedly wore a skirt and off-the-shoulder top. Also in attendance were Jack's son, Reuben (whose outfit matched his dad's) and the actor's on-screen mum, Helen Worth, who was accompanied by her husband, Trevor Dawson. As they left the venue, the newlyweds could be seen beaming and exchanging a number of kisses as they headed to the wedding car, as white confetti cascaded over them. Jack and Hanni first met on the set of Corrie when she was working as a scriptwriter. Fast forward to over a year ago, and Jack popped the question while the couple enjoyed a safari in Tanzania. The soap actor first joined the long-running ITV show in April 2000 and has since become a much-loved fixture of the series. In advance of the big day, Jack took to Instagram to express his thanks to the wedding planners. He wrote: "The A team, @taylorlynncorp me and @hannitreweek are so grateful. everything has come together and it's looking like it's gonna be amazing! "We couldn't have done it without you guys. Best in the biz. Thank you thank you thank you."

Initially airing on ITV in 2017, The Loch was created by Stephen Brady and follows DS Annie Redford (Breaking Bad's Laura Fraser), an officer with the Scottish Highland Police as she investigates the murder of piano teacher Niall Swift after he is found dead at the bottom of a cliff in the picturesque village of Lochnafoy, Loch Fyne, Inveraray. However, it quickly emerges that a serial killer is responsible after its discovered part of Swift's brain has been removed and a human heart belonging to another victim is found close by With a huge task ahead, Glasgow based major investigation detective DCI Lauren Quigley (Happy Valley's Siobhan Finneran) is then brought in to lead the enquiry. Last week the six-part series (which was titled Loch Ness in the US) was added to Netflix, with viewers quickly taking the chance to binge it. Loose Women erupts into blazing row over Bonnie Blue as viewers hit out
The Loose Women panel began to interrupt each other when discussing the controversy surrounding millionaire porn star Bonnie Blue The Loose Women panel erupted into a massive row on Monday when discussing controversial porn star Bonnie Blue. ITV's lunchtime chat show returned at the start of the week with Ruth Langsford as anchor, and she was joined by Mariella Frostrup, Frankie Bridge and Brenda Edwards on the panel. The ladies began to discuss pornographic film actress Bonnie, 26, who infamously had had sex with 1,057 men in 12 hours earlier this year, and the mass stunt became the inspiration for the title of a new Channel 4 documentary, 1,000 Men and Me: The Bonnie Blue Story. The move has made the former NHS recruitment officer into a millionaire. A day before the tell-all documentary on Bonnie airs, the Loose Women discussed her motives. Brenda said that she never 'get her bits out' for any amount of money, "I just I'm just a can't use the word morals," but Ruth cut in to remind her that everyone has a different moral compass. " Brenda shot back: "Her mother wouldn't have changed her mind [about the situation] if she wasn't being paid by her daughter. Tell her to go into the room where it's all happening, and I bet you she wouldn't!" This Morning host Ruth reasoned that Bonnie's mother was likely trying to 'support' her daughter. Mariella then chimed in calling the whole thing a 'very tragic story' and that she 'feels sorry' for the family because money does not bring happiness. She added: "Isn't it about what you care about? We live in a world now where everything seems to be okay if you become famous or make loads of money for it. She's getting a documentary on a public-funded platform, which is Channel 4." Ruth tried to bring the topic back to what Bonnie has been saying about the situation, and Mariella snapped: "I don't care about her. I'm talking about us. I'm not saying she can't be happy, she says she's scared to go out, doesn't lead a normal life, but more importantly I think it's awful that we're even talking about it because I just think it's inflating something that's really distasteful and is really just a sad, sad story. We have all lost our moral compass." Former Saturdays singer Frankie tried to argue that parents are more likely to 'stand by' their children even if they disagree with their choices, but the ladies began to talk over each other in disagreement as Brenda rolled her eyes and slammed it as 'disgraceful' that money is being made from such a venture. She added: "Do it behind closed doors, I just don't need to see it!" The heated nature of the discussion did not go unnoticed by fans, and they flooded social media with comments begging them to stop interrupting one another. One viewer wrote on X: "Only Mariella's opinion counts," whilst another said: "Shut up mariella , stop interrupting," and a third said: "Mariella gets so intense on this panel." Another asked: "Have to shut off when Brenda starts her rants. The arm waving is irritating as well as her voice" but another viewer agreed with the former X Factor star and simply said: "Well said Brenda" after listening to her opinion. At a screening of the documentary, Bonnie insisted she is 'very happy' with her life. But her notoriety, and her boasts of sex with married men, who, she says, should not feel guilty about cheating on their wives, come at a price. In the film, Bonnie, whose real name is Tia Billinger, says: 'The last time I went out by myself was probably about six months ago. Now it is not that safe. 'I get 100s of death threats a day, so it is not that safe when I walk around. I say, 'It is going to happen at some point, someone will come and give me stick' and fair play to her, at least they are getting up off their sofa. My worst one is acid, if someone did acid, and I could see some spiteful girl doing that.' Bonnie has split from her husband and her closest friends seem to be Josh, who posts her videos, and a stylist. She says: 'My sort of circles got smaller, but my team are also my best friends.' Director Victoria Silver followed Bonnie for six months, gathering footage of her having sex, and was at her January marathon for a couple of hours.
