Country pub of the week: The Oakley Arms, Harrold, Bedfordshire
The Oakley is Bedfordshire's only pub-restaurant with two-AA rosettes, and is run by husband and wife, Andy and Lizzie Slater. Popular with locals and out-of-towners alike, the longstanding rumour has it that Sir Paul McCartney performed Hey Jude there for the very first time in June 1968, popping into the pub on the way back from a gig and settling in at the pub's piano.

Billi Mucklow's 'revenge' after bitter Andy Carroll split with amazing new body
Billi Mucklow is not only looking sensational, as recent holiday snaps revealed, but a source claims she has 'moved on' from her split with Andy Carroll and is feeling better than ever Billi Mucklow showed her ex Andy Carroll exactly what he was missing when the 37-year-old former TOWIE star shared some sizzling snaps from her latest sunshine getaway. Rocking a striking blue bikini, bronzed skin and a carefree smile, Billi was flooded with praise for the photos, following her very public split from the former England footballer last September, after an 11-year relationship. A source close to Billi claims to OK!, 'She's had a really tough time since the split – there was a lot of pain – but she's moving on with her life and is definitely in her revenge body er a. 'Billi has put a lot into her fitness, lately. She's lost weight – probably through a touch of the heartache diet – but she's looking and feeling really good, more like her old self. Family and friends are saying she's never looked better – that they've got 'the old Billi' back.' Billi – a devoted mum to the former couple's three kids, Arlo, 10, Wolf, seven, and Marvel, four, as well as Emilie Rose, 15, and Lucas, 14, Andy's children from a previous relationship – was seen sunning herself at a luxury villa in the show-stopping snaps. And delighted fans rushed to compliment her, with one commenting, 'Let's show him what he's missing, darling.' Another admirer added, 'Andy, what on earth were you thinking?' while a third said, 'Best revenge is a good body. You are totally winning.' While Billi was living her best life on her Spanish break, Andy, 36, was back in the headlines for all the wrong reasons. Police were reportedly called twice to what were described as 'heated' arguments with his new girlfriend, make-up artist Lou Teasdale, during their own holiday in Mykonos – though no arrests were made. According to the source, Billi is aware of the reports, but wants 'nothing to do with it'. They said, 'All she's concerned about is her kids' happiness, she has well and truly moved on. As she says, Andy's not her problem any more.' It's fair to say that Billi has earned her peace after a rollercoaster 2024. It was Andy who announced their divorce, after just two years of marriage, although their relationship came to an end last July. The couple had seen their fair share of controversy during their 11 years together. They almost didn't make it down the aisle after Andy's alleged antics on his stag do in Dubai, before it was revealed that he was innocent of the accusations on social media. Their split may have left Billi heartbroken and forced to face life as a single mum, but rather than crumble, she is clearly picking herself up, pouring her energy into her kids and, crucially, herself, too. Former Newcastle striker Andy has been having a less idyllic time of late, after being questioned about the bust-up he'd had with Lou, 41, at a packed beachside restaurant and then at their hotel. Responding to the reports, Andy and Lou – who have been dating since last October – admitted that the police were called following their 'heated discussion', however both insisted things had been 'blown out of proportion'. In a joint statement, they said, 'Whilst having a private dinner in a restaurant on a quiet holiday in Mykonos, we had a heated discussion of the sort that most couples have had on occasion. It quickly became apparent to the police that there was no reason for them to be there. We went outside the restaurant with them together as they insisted they wanted to 'look after' us. 'As far as we are concerned, the situation has been blown out of all proportion by an interested member of the public. No one was arrested, and no one was charged with anything. We are very happy, in love and looking forward to our future together, and we are disappointed that a private disagreement has become a public matter.' As for Billi, she evidently has an army of fans hoping she will take her new lease of life even further, with some begging herto make a reality TV comeback – or even launch her own fitness range. Fans have hailed her as a 'superwoman' for juggling heartbreak, single mum life and getting a fabulous new figure all at once – many even thanking her for showing them that it's possible to bounce back from heartache, when life doesn't go to plan. So what's next for Billi? More sunny holidays, more time with her gorgeous kids and plenty more swimsuit slays, we hope – perhaps even a new romance? Her message to fans certainly seems clear: heartbreak doesn't have to break you…

Andy Carroll and Lou Teasdale completely smitten at Glasto after holiday bust-up
EXCLUSIVE: Professional footballer Andy Carroll and his girlfriend Lou Teasdale have been seen looking 'loved up' at Glastonbury after rumours of a bust up during a holiday in Greece Smitten couple Andy Carroll and Lou Teasdale have been spotted strolling around Glastonbury on the second day of the festival. The couple looked relaxed in some classic Glastonbury ensembles as they walked through the VIP area of the festival. Professional footballer Andy, 36, wore his long locks down while Lou, 41, opted for a relax outfit consisting of a lose t-shirt and some baggy denim shorts. A source told The Mirror: "Lou and Andy appeared to put their holiday spat behind them. They were very touchy feely and he couldn't stop popping his arm around here". It comes after the couple admitted they were spoken to by police following a row between the couple on the Greek island of Mykonos. The pair, who have been dating since last year following the footballer's split with the mum of his three kids, Billi Mucklow, revealed they'd had a "heated discussion" while on the party island, but that things had been "blown out of proportion". Andy was reportedly questioned about a bust-up he'd had with Lou at a packed beachside restaurant and then at their hotel. One worker at the Nikolus Tavern said of the first argument: 'We recognised him as the footballer Andy Carroll immediately. He seemed very drunk and furious with his partner. He was using very bad words. It was improper behaviour. The woman looked very upset.' Reports claimed that police arrived and took the former West Ham ace, who was "very calm" to one side for a chat. He was later allowed to return to Lou, who is a well-known celebrity hairstylist. However, hours later police were reportedly called again by staff after reports of damage to the couple's room at a £500-a-night boutique hotel. Officers are said to have escorted Andy to a local station for questioning but no arrests were made. Another source claimed Lou did not stay with her boyfriend that night. They said: "After the restaurant episode, there was another incident at the hotel. This time, the footballer went to the police station. We know the woman stayed somewhere else that night.' Meanwhile, a British holidaymaker who reportedly spotted the pair while out for a stroll accused Andy of being "very drunk" adding that he shouted at Lou: "I'm done with us!" Responding to the reports, Andy and Lou admitted that the police were called following their "heated discussion", however they insisted things had been "blown out of proportion", issuing a joint statement which read: "Whilst having a private dinner in a restaurant on a quiet holiday in Mykonos, we had a heated discussion of the sort that most couples have had on occasion. It quickly became apparent to the police that there was no reason for them to be there. 'We went outside the restaurant with them together as they insisted they wanted to 'look after' us. "We are very happy, in love and looking forward to our future together, and we are disappointed that a private disagreement has become a public matter.'
