Andy Hill, an assistant special teams coach, has announced his retirement from coaching.

'Thank you @Chiefs - Coach Andy Reid and Dave Toub and the wonderful coaches and players that I was honored to be a small part of such a class organization-Top to bottom the best in the NFL! Our family says THANK YOU!,' Hill posted.

Josh Allen shows his true colors after training camp interaction with service members
Josh Allen showed his true colors towards American military service members after Tuesday's Buffalo Bills training camp practice - taking off his hat to shake each of their hands. Allen is not only in the spotlight position as by far the biggest star on the Bills. He is also one of the elite names in the entire NFL, giving extra importance to every action he takes. The critical moments of Tuesday's interaction sees Allen mobbed by fans asking him for an autograph. A dozen or so signatures in, the 29-year-old sees the four service members out of the corner of his eye. After Allen finishes the autographs for the fans standing between himself and the service members, the signal caller removed his cap to give each one a firm handshake. Allen can be seen saying something brief to each service member, who were also in line for an autograph, which was likely, 'Thank you.' Allen then returned to the first service member in line and signed each of their items, before continuing on with his signatures. WATCH: Josh Allen switches from autograph mode to removing his hat to shake the hand of service members at Bills Training Camp. #billsmafia — News 8 WROC (@News_8) July 29, 2025 Josh Allen showed his colors towards American service members after Tuesday's practice The NFL and Bills' fan base has responded universally positive to Allen's gesture, with several comments like, 'That boy was raised right!!' Allen is back in Western New York after a busy offseason that included getting married to actress Hailee Steinfeld and listing his California home, in a move believed to be connected with moving in with the 'Sinners' star or them buying a separate piece of real estate together. His $8.5million bachelor pad in Dana Point, California is up for sale, a little more than a month after marrying actress Hailee Steinfeld. The 'True Grit' actress and Buffalo Bills quarterback tied the knot in Montecito, California, about three hours north of where Allen currently lives in his four-bedroom, three-bedroom house close to the coastline. Allen has owned the property, which he bought for $7.2million, per in 2023 and has spent most of his time away from Buffalo in the home this offseason. Allen again enters the NFL season with huge expectations, as the Bills will be favorites to win the Super Bowl, with the pesky Kansas City Chiefs looming.

Tom Brady takes a swipe at Gisele Bundchen over their divorce in letter about providing for his family
Tom Brady has seemingly taken a subtle dig at his supermodel ex-wife Gisele Bundchen in his latest newsletter about providing for his family. The NFL great, a seven-time Super Bowl winner, split from his wife of 13 years in October 2023, months after dramatically reversing his decision to retire from football. After their split was announced, Bundchen repeatedly alluded to her unhappiness at how much Brady focused on his sporting career at the cost of his family, with his unretirement said to be the tipping point. Now, in a newsletter Brady has recently started writing to his fans, the 47-year-old has said that he viewed his career as a central part of being a good father to his three children. 'I think part of being a great father is being a great example of doing what it takes to take care of your family,' Brady wrote. 'I chose to do it by playing football.' He continued: 'My dedication to the sport, the hours of practice, the moments when I was laser focused - those were times when I believe I was doing the best possible thing for my family and my kids, by prioritizing my profession and teaching, by example, what it takes to be really good at your job, what it takes to follow through on commitments, what it takes to be a great teammate; and showing them, also by example, that work is a big part of all of our lives.' Bundchen was said to have encouraged Brady to retire the first time around amid fears for his health in the game, as well as wanting them to spend more time together as a family. 'Obviously, I have my concerns - this is a very violent sport, and I have my children and I would like him to be more present,' she told Elle in September 2022. 'I have definitely had those conversations with him over and over again. But ultimately, I feel that everybody has to make a decision that works for (them). He needs to follow his joy, too.' During his career, Brady had often spoken about how grateful he was for Bundchen's role keeping their family together. In October 2021, he said on his 'Let's Go' podcast: 'My wife has held down the house for a long time now, and I think there's things that she wants to accomplish.' Now, in his letter, Brady says: 'Remember, your children are watching everything. They see what you do in every aspect of your life and how you do it. 'Reading bedtime stories and helping them with homework are not the only ways to be a great parent. And neither is winning Super Bowls or MVPs. 'Being a great football player didn't make me a great dad, but how I became a great player certainly had an impact - from showing up day in and day out, to doing whatever it took to get better, be successful, be a role model, and to provide.' Bundchen and Brady had two kids - Benjamin and Vivian - together, while Brady has another son, Jack, from a previous relationship with Bridget Moynahan. A seven-time Super Bowl winner, Brady is widely accepted as the best to ever play in the NFL Bundchen also said in that September 2022 interview: 'I've done my part, which is be there for Tom. I moved to Boston, and I focused on creating a cocoon and a loving environment for my children to grow up in and to be there supporting him and his dreams. 'Seeing my children succeed and become the beautiful little humans that they are, seeing him succeed, and being fulfilled in his career - it makes me happy. At this point in my life, I feel like I've done a good job on that.' Brady would go on to play one more season in the NFL with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, retiring in 2023 after they lost in the first round of the playoffs against the Dallas Cowboys. Speaking about their split in March 2023, Bundchen insisted she has no lingering animosity towards Brady, telling Vanity Fair: 'I have always cheered for him, and I would continue forever. 'If there's one person I want to be the happiest in the world, it's him, believe me. I want him to achieve and to conquer. I want all his dreams to come true. That's what I want, really, from the bottom of my heart.' But there have been some tough moments between the two in the years since their split - notably when Brady was repeatedly taunted on his Netflix Roast about Bundchen moving on with her jiu-jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente, who she has since had a baby with. Kevin Hart, who opened the roast, piled in on Brady and Bundchen's breakup, saying: 'You sometimes got to f*** your coach,' the actor said. 'You know who else f***ed their coach? Gisele. She f***ed that karate man.' According to People, Bundchen was left fuming at the jokes. 'As always, [Bundchen's] priority is to support her children who were affected by the irresponsible content that was broadcasted,' the insider said. Brady later admitted that he regretted the impact the show had on his kids. 'I loved when the jokes were about me. I thought they were so fun,' he said. 'I didn't like the way they affected my kids,' he told The Pivot. 'It was the bittersweet aspect of when you're doing something you think is one way and then you realize I wouldn't do that again because of the way it affected the people I care about the most in the world. 'It makes you in some ways a better parent going through it because sometimes you're naïve.'

Fresh off extension, Seth Lugo looks to lead Royals past Braves
July 29 - What might have been right-hander Seth Lugo's final start as a member of the Kansas City Royals has turned into the beginning of an extended stay with the club. Meanwhile, one of Atlanta's recent acquisitions will try to help the Braves' depleted rotation. Fresh off of signing a contract extension, Lugo will try to help the host Royals even this series Tuesday night against right-hander Erick Fedde and Atlanta. Lugo (7-5, 2.95 ERA) was the subject of consistent trade rumors as the deadline approaches on Thursday. Instead, the 35-year-old agreed to a two-year, $46 contract extension beyond this season, his second with the team. "Seth made it very apparent that he wanted to be here," said Royals executive vice president and general manager J.J. Picollo. "I do feel very confident that we would have not found somebody that had a couple of years' control, was a runner-up Cy Young Award winner, All-Star, Gold Glover. ... I don't think we're finding that type of talent in the trade market." Lugo, a 16-game winner with the Royals in 2024, is coming off his 11th quality start of the season. On Wednesday, he allowed two runs, four hits and struck out six over six innings of an 8-4 victory over the Chicago Cubs. Now, he will pitch without a trade cloud overhead. "Rumors that come up over the past month, I wanted to be here next year," Lugo said. "We've got to show up every day, and it's something we shouldn't take lightly." Locking up Lugo was imperative after the Royals announced Monday that All-Star Kris Bubic will miss the rest of the season with a strained rotator cuff. Lugo also will try to help Kansas City rebound after it tied a franchise record with 14 walks allowed in Monday's 10-7 loss to the Braves, who snapped a five-game losing streak. Lugo has made 29 career appearances versus the Braves and is a stellar 4-0 with a 1.29 ERA in five starts against them. Fedde (3-10, 5.22 ERA), meanwhile, was designated for assignment by the St. Louis Cardinals on Wednesday and traded to Atlanta on Sunday. Though he allowed a whopping 26 runs, 33 hits -- including eight homers -- and walked 11 over 17 2/3 innings while going 0-4 in his last five starts with the Cardinals, he's apparently a viable option for the Braves. "I've had highs and lows in this game, and I'm just trying to be professional, show up every day and give it my best," Fedde told Fedde, however, was exceptional in his only two career starts versus Kansas City. Both coming last season with the Chicago White Sox, he yielded one run over 10 2/3 innings. Kansas City's Maikel Garcia is 0-for-3 versus Fedde. However, he's batting .423 with five RBIs in the last seven games. On Monday, Atlanta's Ronald Acuna Jr. and Marcell Ozuna each hit a two-run homer. Acuna is 6-for-12 versus Lugo, while Ozuna, the subject of trade rumors, is 1-for-11 with five strikeouts and five walks against him. --Field Level Media
