Robert uncovers shocking evidence in Emmerdale that will destroy killer John

Metro2 days ago
Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) has had John Sugden's (Oliver Farnworth) number from the moment he met him – will he be instrumental in getting justice for Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter)?
John knows it's a matter of time before he's discovered as Nate's killer so he's at the point of desperate acts to cover his own back.
He has already told the ginormous fib that Owen, a patient at the surgery, confessed to Nate's murder during his appointment with him. Now he's about to go one better in framing the innocent man.
Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) makes a house call at Owen's but is worried when he gets no response and calls the police. They gain entry to the house and make the shocking discovery that Owen is dead – and there's a confession to murder on his laptop. How convenient.
This is perfect for John and his plans to frame the man who tried to drug Robert. DS Walsh takes this huge news to Cain (Jeff Hordley) and Tracy (Amy Walsh).
Everyone is suitably shocked and struggling to deal with this information, but it's when Robert learns of the turn of events that John's new cover up becomes unstable. More Trending
Robert is initially shaken that the man who had drugged him had murdered someone else. But then he clocks how shifty John seems about it all. DC Cole later visits the surgery on an information gathering exercise, and when Robert spots this, he's keen to do his own investigating.

Claudette (Flo Wilson) shares that John had visited Owen's house right before he died, which tells Robert he's on the right track.
Robert later arranges to meet Owen's brother Steve to dig even further, and he learns exactly what he needed to know – Owen had a solid alibi for the day that Nate died.

Big Brother legend takes swipe at Davina McCall on show's 25th anniversary

Exactly 25 years ago today, a television experiment changed broadcasting forever as Big Brother launched on Channel 4. Adapted from the Dutch format, which premiered in 1999, the UK version initially pitted ten housemates against one another in a monitored compound. Grace Adams-Short shot to fame during her appearance on season seven of the show in 2006, and quickly became known for her blunt opinions and fiery clashes with fellow housemates. Her divisive character famously led to fans chanting 'Get Grace Out' during eviction nights, and she exited to a chorus of boos after hurling a glass of water over housemate Susie Verrico. Now, nearly two decades later, Grace has revealed that she has zero regrets after the show led her to meeting her now-husband, Mikey Dalton. Speaking to Betway ahead of Big Brother's milestone anniversary, she has opened up about what the Big Brother hosts were really like off-camera in her experience, the surprising celebrity fans she gained following the show, and the memorable moments she and Mikey still look back on today. When looking back on her time on the show, Grace admitted that she's sometimes wondered if she should have 'just been the nice girl', and so lasted a longer amount of time in the Big Brother House. 'But I wouldn't have been able to keep that up. You're watched 24/7, so it's impossible to be someone you're not.' As for Susie? Grace hasn't seen her since as their paths 'have never crossed' – but she hopes that all of these years later, her housemate 'could now see the funny side of it all'. 'Big Brother was like a panto and it was all theatrical. I would never have thrown a glass of water over someone in normal life but it was such a strange environment. I was young too.' Grace was only 20 years old when she competed on Big Brother – and at the time, she thought that she 'knew it all'. 'I used to have such a potty mouth and even Mikey says he would often wish I'd stop talking in the house because he knew I was digging myself a deeper hole,' she said. 'I dealt with the boos and the backlash well, though. I think my background in dance gave me a thick skin and even at that young age, I could handle rejection.' Asked what her relationship was like with former hosts Davina McCall and Dermot O'Leary, she explained: 'Davina was never really friendly to me. Even during my eviction interview, I could tell she didn't like me. She was a Big Brother b***h! I've never seen her since. Dermot, on the other hand, was lovely. 'The nicest, most genuine guy. I had to spend a week with him on Big Brother's Little Brother after coming out of the house, and we had a great time. 'He even stopped his taxi on Regent's Street once because he saw me. He was always so lovely to my mum, too. Rylan Clark is such a great guy also. I met him years ago – this was before X Factor, when he still had ginger hair. 'He told me he was a huge fan of my series, and despite all the success he's achieved since, he's remained so lovely.' Following the fame she gained after leaving the show, Grace also revealed some of her biggest 'pinch-me moments'. I remember Simon Cowell approaching me at an event and asking me if I was being nicer to people yet,' she said. 'I felt like saying 'that's the pot calling the kettle black!' It was a pretty surreal moment to realise someone like Simon Cowell had been tuning in and watching me! 'There was another time when I was at V Festival and Richard Branson offered me his helicopter to get back home. I turned it down as I felt it was going out of his way. 'Mikey told me I was a fool to say no and it could have turned into a big business opportunity. But I just didn't want to inconvenience him!' More Trending Discussing what's next for her in her career, Grace said she has set up her own dance academy as she was originally a dance teacher before. She also recently launched the OSO content studio for brands and creators. The 39-year-old said she was 'smart enough' to launch her own business following the show, using it as a 'stepping stone'. View More » She went on to say 'I do dip my toe into the celebrity world every now and again' but she would rather spend time with her family as she doesn't want to 'chase fame'. Got a story? BBC bosses are 'questioned over difference in treatment' between John Torode and Jamie Borthwick after both used 'offensive language'

BBC bosses are reportedly facing questions over the difference in treatment John Torode and Jamie Borthwick after both used 'offensive language'. The MasterChef star, 59, has been sacked after allegedly 'used the N-word twice while singing along to a Kanye West song'. Meanwhile the EastEnders actor, 31, who has played Jay Brown for 19 years, was suspended by the BBC in June after he used a slur aimed at disabled people on the set of Strictly. But according to The Sun, bosses at the BBC are being questioned over a disparity in how both situations have been handled - with one star sacked and the other suspended. A source said: 'The difference in treatment between John and Jamie - for very similar incidents - has left questions to be answered. 'The BBC have tied themselves into knots with this - for them both stars appear to have used unacceptable and offensive language but only one has been sacked while another has kept his lucrative salary and got away with just a suspension.' 'Disabled colleagues have been left wondering why incidents of ableist slurs seemingly aren't being taken as seriously as racist language and there are no clear answers coming from bosses,' the source added. A spokesperson for the BBC told MailOnline: 'Whilst we do not comment on any individual matter, each case is always considered on its own facts. 'We are very clear on our expectations that inappropriate behaviour and language will not be tolerated.' A video obtained by The Sun in June, showed soap actor Jamie using the term 'm********s' to describe residents of Blackpool where the show was being filmed at the time. He was reportedly backstage during rehearsals with Wynne Evans who could be heard saying 'Oh my God' when he made the remark. He has since issued an apology, sharing that he did not fully understand the derogatory nature of the term he used but now that he is aware, he is 'deeply embarrassed'. The Sun reported at the time that Jamie told a former partner how it was 'not clear' if he would return to EastEnders and quoted him as saying: 'I accept the karma that has come my way due to some bad choices.' It continued that Jamie told how he was now 'attempting to write the wrongs in my life'. He added he wanted to 'sincerely apologise for the mistakes I made and for hurting you and how I handled the whole situation'. It comes after new reports claimed on Friday that the BBC sacked chef John after he allegedly 'used the N-word twice while singing along to a Kanye West song'. John was reportedly singing the rapper's hit Gold Digger when he was allegedly 'caught using the racist term during after work drinks six or seven years ago'. The Sun claims John used the word again whilst chatting to a friend on the MasterChef production team, who didn't take offence. The Australian-born chef has insisted 'he had absolutely no recollection' of using a racist term while drinking with colleagues seven years ago. The person who raised the complaint is understood to have 'overheard the conversation'. The production pal allegedly backed John and said he only used the racial slur as an 'example' and 'apologised afterwards'. MailOnline contacted BBC and Torode's representatives for comment. A witness told investigators he had apologised immediately, 'was mortified' and 'didn't use the term as a slur' in 2018. The BBC said on Tuesday that Torode's contract would not be renewed after a report found he had used an 'extremely offensive racist term' during an evening out after filming the show. The corporation has refused to say what the racist term was - as has Torode, who has claimed he did 'not believe that it happened'. But it was described as the 'worst racial slur there is' by Richard Osman, who added of the investigation: 'They found that to be substantively true. They found evidence that they were happy with - that that was true.'
