Steelers CB Jalen Ramsey revealed what jersey number he'll wear in Pittsburgh
The Steelers shocked the NFL world with their blockbuster acquisition on Monday — and it didn't take long for Ramsey to reveal what number he'd wear in Pittsburgh: No. 5.
Ramsey wore No. 20 with the Jaguars and Rams, but switched to No. 5 when the new NFL jersey rule came into effect in 2021 — which allowed more positions to wear single-digit numbers.

The Steelers will lean on Ramsey, Darius Slay Jr., and Joey Porter Jr. to carry the Black and Gold secondary — a trio of talented defensive backs that will definitely have their hands full in a competitive AFC North environment.

Chicago Bears cornerback Jaylon Johnson will miss multiple weeks of training camp, at least, with a leg injury sustained during the offseason. General manager Ryan Poles addressed the All-Pro's status on Tuesday, days after the team placed Johnson on the non-football injury list. Poles declined to go into detail about the injury. But it will sideline Johnson for "a few weeks." "When he was training he had a leg injury," Poles said, per Bears beat reporter Cassie Carlson. ... "Going to take a few weeks before he can come back." Johnson, 26, has made the Pro Bowl after each of the last two seasons and was a second-team All-Pro in 2023. He's in integral part of Chicago's defense. The nature of the injury and when and how he sustained it are not clear. Poles made the announcement from the start of Bears training camp.

Giants sign S K'Von Wallace
The Giants have added a veteran defensive player at the start of training camp. New York announced on Tuesday that the club has signed safety K'Von Wallace. Wallace, 27, spent last season with the Seahawks. He appeared in nine games, recording 15 total tackles and a forced fumble. He was on the field for 21 percent of defensive snaps and 53 percent of special teams snaps in games played. An Eagles fourth-round pick in 2020, Wallace has appeared in 71 career games with 19 starts for Philadelphia, Arizona, Tennessee, and Seattle.
