A Salem good guy is arrested for the attempted murder of his own father, but his devilish dad is determined to pull out all the stops to save him, according to the Days of our Lives spoilers. Meanwhile, a baby makes a surprise arrival, and someone uncovers the identity of a sexy novel's author. Here's your DAYS video preview for the week of June 30-July 4, 2025.
After weeks of keeping mum about the fateful night that his father, EJ (Dan Feuerriegel), was shot and his visit to the DiMera mansion with a gun, Johnny's (Carson Boatman) finally facing the music. Jada (Elia Cantu) slaps handcuffs on him while EJ and a horrified Chanel (Raven Bowens) look on. 'I'm being arrested for attempted murder,' Johnny tells his wife before Jada carts him off to the slammer.
But the drama is just beginning. Later, Johnny heads to the mansion to meet with his father and ask him a few questions. 'You're not going to do anything crazy, are you?' Johnny asks his dad. Knowing EJ, he probably already did.

Meanwhile, at the Salem police station, Belle (Martha Madison) finds a big manila envelope on her desk. 'What's this?' the DA wonders out loud. She opens it to find a memory chip. Is it the memory chip EJ discovered in the hidden camera that was planted in the DiMera living room by Rafe (Galen Gering)?

Poor Sophia (Rachel Boyd) is home alone when she starts having labor pains. Might the poor teenager actually be forced to give birth to her child alone?
Moments later, Sophia is holding a newborn baby in her arms. 'I can't let anybody see you. Okay?' she whispers to the sobbing infant.

Chanel runs into EJ at the police station, and she's fuming mad. Apparently, EJ's done some finagling in the case against Johnny. 'The way I see it, Johnny has made a deal with the devil,' Chanel snaps at her father-in-law. EJ responds as he usually does… with a smirk.

At Brady Pub, Kate (Lauren Koslow) has a run-in with Stephanie (Abigail Klein) and Alex (Robert Scott Wilson). As they're chatting, she suddenly puts two and two together regarding the sexy manuscript she's been reading. 'Wait. Are you the author of One Stormy Night?' Kate asks Stephanie. Stephanie is speechless.

As a bird mom myself, I can tell you that birds are all basically just strange, feathered toddlers. I only have little Budgies, and they're annoying enough as it is (said with love). Bigger, crazier birds? I can't even imagine actually having one, though I love to watch other people try. Recently, one cute Cockatoo decided that he actually wants to make sure mom and dad are never allowed near each other. His reason for that seems to be that, as long as they're apart, their main focus is going to be him: Charlie Junior the Cockatoo is so dramatic. It's one of the things I love most about him: he's one of the most dramatic birds around. He is fully committed to being the baby, and he's not going to let anything stand in his way. It's hilarious. His favorite parent, by the way, is his dad. He doesn't even try to hide it, even though it offends his mama deeply! His dad didn't even want to get him at first: mom kind of had to force it! He's happy now, and he adores Charlie, but you'd think the bird might show mom some love! He does not care, and Cockatoos do not care if they hurt your feelings, either. In fact, if you teach them mean words, they will literally insult you for fun. Choosing your words carefully around a Cockatoo (or any mimicking bird) is essential, otherwise they could end up with quite a... Colorful tend to have a favorite human, that's just how life goes. There are steps you can take to try to help your chances of being your pet's favorite, like: Feeding them. Being the person who sleeps with/puts them to bed. Sneaking them treats and toys. However, there's sometimes just nothing you can do to prevent them from "imprinting" on someone else. At least they're bonding with someone, right? Even if that someone was the person apprehensive about getting the bird in the first place! Quinta Brunson says some 'Abbott Elementary' cast members want to pursue other projects: 'Show is very time-consuming'
Abbott Elementary was renewed for an impressive fifth season in January, but Quinta Brunson and some of the cast have started to wonder about life out of school. "We are so fortunate and blessed to be on a network TV show for five seasons, and for people to still be fans,' Brunson, who created and stars in the show, told Bustle in a new interview. 'That being said, I have cast members who would love to pursue other projects, and our show is very time-consuming. We shoot about seven months out of the year. That can stop people from being able to do a lot of other things.' She continued, "Right now, I'm receiving scripts, and waiting for that moment that feels like, 'Oh man, this is exactly what I've been looking for.' Abbott has been so successful, and I want to use that success to get other people's projects off the ground." For example, she told the outlet, "I'm always interested in playing against type. I think that's any actor's dream. Right now my type is 'Janine' and 'teacher.' I'm looking forward to moving away from that a little bit." The ABC comedy, which debuted in 2021 and was inspired by Brunson's mother's 40 years as a public school teacher, focuses on the staff at an underfunded public school in Philadelphia. Brunson costars on the Emmy-winning show with a cast that includes Sheryl Lee Ralph, Tyler James Williams, Lisa Ann Walter, Janelle James, William Stanford Davis, and Chris Perfetti. Brunson explained her mantra and approach to being the face of the show to Bustle. "People used to tell me at the beginning of this that the No. 1 on the call sheet sets the tone, and the producer sets the tone — and I'm both of those roles," she said. "I understand now, after doing this for four years, how important it was that I set the tone that I did when we first started." "Sometimes it's as simple as I'm the first one in the morning," she added, "and the way I carry myself in the morning can determine how the rest of the set runs, not only as an actor, but as the creator of the show. I try to come in with a good attitude and a positive attitude, and it's not hard to do. I'm very excited to go to work and appreciative of my cast and crew and naturally want the morale up." A premiere date for season 5 hasn't officially been announced, but the main cast is expected to return. The first four seasons can be streamed now on Hulu.
