Colts WR Michael Pittman Jr. leaves practice with apparent injury
Pittman went to the ground during an 11-on-11 play but it was not clear if it was from contact. He stayed down for a few seconds and then limped off on his own. He later went with a member of the team's medical staff into the locker room and didn't return to practice.
The 27-year-old started 14 of the 16 games he played last season and caught 69 of 111 targets for 808 yards and three touchdowns. He revealed in April that he played through a fractured back that ultimately was determined would not require surgery. He told the Indianapolis Star that doctors fully cleared him in March.
For his career, Pittman has 405 catches for 4,470 yards and 18 TDs. His best season was in 2023, when he caught 109 passes for 1,152 yards and four TDs.
Indianapolis selected Pittman in the second round (34th overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft.

A decade ago, he tried and failed to buy the Buffalo Bills for $1billion. In 2017, meanwhile, he called on NFL owners to fire players who take a knee during the national anthem. Colin Kaepernick sparked a nationwide debate when he protested against police brutality and racial injustice. Other players followed suit and they soon incurred the wrath of the White House. 'Wouldn't you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, to say, "Get that son of a b**** off the field right now?" Out. He's fired. He's FIRED!' A year later, the president canceled the traditional White House reception with the Super Bowl winners after it emerged that only a small number of Eagles players planned to attend. Trump claimed Philadelphia disagreed 'with their President because he insists that they proudly stand for the National Anthem, hand on heart, in honor of the great men and women of our military and the people of our country.' The president has also had feuds with ESPN and its parent company Disney. 'ESPN is paying a really big price for its politics (and bad programming). People are dumping it in RECORD numbers. Apologize for untruth!' he said in 2017.

Lionel Messi exited Inter Miami's Leagues Cup match against Necaxa on Saturday night after suffering an apparent hamstring injury in the opening minutes. After the match that Inter Miami won in a penalty shootout, coach Javier Mascherano indicated that Messi would undergo testing on Sunday to determine the severity of the injury. Mascherano has been tasked with managing Messi's packed workload all season. The 38-year-old star was experiencing fatigue late last month and skipped the MLS All-Star game, which led to a one-match suspension by the league for violating its rules on participation in the exhibition match. Jerry Jones downplays Micah Parsons' public comments as teammates rally to player's side
Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones does not intend to trade Micah Parsons after the star defensive end said he wants to leave the team amid a breakdown in negotiating a contract extension. 'Surely you guys have been around this stuff and know how to recognize negotiation talk, that type of thing. And so that's where I put that,' Jones said after practice Saturday, one day after Parsons posted on social media to request a trade. No stranger to public and prolonged disputes with standout players, Jones insisted the standoff with Parsons is no different than past situations ranging from alternating approaches by quarterback Dak Prescott and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb last year to the 1993 in-season holdout by running back Emmitt Smith. 'Well, it's just that you've seen it so often, and you've seen it with other clubs. You go through the process. It's a highly sensitive time when you're guaranteeing somebody almost $200m, that's sensitive stuff,' Jones said. Parsons remains at training camp, where he has yet to practice because of a back injury. He did not speak to reporters, leaving the field at the same time as Jones was fielding questions for more than 15 minutes. Parsons is going into the final season of his five-year rookie contract and is seeking a new deal that would almost certainly make him the highest-paid defender in NFL history.
