Disapproving Salman Khan scolded Kaanta Laga directors for scandalous song: ‘Sexy kaam hai kam kiya karo'

The filmmaker duo in an interview with Hindi Rush, disclosed how they received backlash from Central Board of Film Certification stating that they have disturbed the moral fibre of the nation after that video came out. They further added how Salman Khan also called them to stop doing such "sexy" videos.
Vinay in the interview said, "A big actor called us to his house, and he told us, 'Main tumhe samjha raha hoon Radhika-Vinay, yeh jo sexy kaam hai kam kiya karo, acha nahi hota (I'm trying to make you understand, don't do such sexy songs, it doesn't look good)'. He just said, 'You've got nice, pure minds'." When asked who it was, they named Salman Khan.
The filmmakers said that back then, they had hit a creative road block while doing only cute videos and thought of branching out which resulted in their remix era.
'We were doing cute and innocent songs with Falguni Pathak. We were doing songs with ghazals with Jagjit Singh and Pankaj Udhas. As creative people, musically we needed some change. One day, we went to Salman Khan's house. He was exercising while listening to a Jhankaar Beats remix of a Kishore Kumar song. An idea sparked, and that's what began the remix trend in India. We made Kaliyon Ka Chaman, Kaanta Laga, Chadti Jawani… The sound organically reminds you of a nightclub, to a sensual visualisation,' Vinay said.
After the success of their Sanam Teri Kasam re-release in theatres, the director duo are planning to make a sequel to the film. While they are certain to bring back Harshvardhan Rane from the original cast, they have categorically denied to cast Pakistani actor Mawra Hocane due to ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan.

The forgotten Ramayan before Ranbir Kapoor's Interestingly, this untitled film was being planned decades before today's multi-part Ramayan, backed by Nitesh Tiwari. The upcoming version is scheduled to be released in two parts, Part 1 during Diwali 2025 and Part 2 during Diwali 2026, with Sai Pallavi as Sita. But had things gone as planned in the 90s, Salman Khan might've already been immortalised as Lord Ram in Indian cinema, long before Ranbir picked up the bow and arrow.

The conflict, known as the Kargil war, started in May 1999 when Pakistani intruders crossed the Line of Control and occupied Indian posts on towering ridges with the aim of capturing National Highway 1A, the vital artery connecting Srinagar to Leh at that time. On spotting the intruders, India subsequently launched Operation Vijay. The operation showed the meticulous planning, steely determination, and the indomitable spirit of the forces as the soldiers fought over two months in harsh terrain to drive out every intruder and restored Indian control at every post. Kargil Vijay Diwas honours the sacrifices of the soldiers who fought at the Line of Control on the snow-clad peaks amid relentless enemy fire. On July 26, the Indian flag once again soared over the mountains of Ladakh, thanks to the efforts of our armed forces. During the war, 4 soldiers were awarded the Param Vir Chakra (PVC), India's highest gallantry award. 9 soldiers received the Maha Vir Chakra (MVC) and 55 were honoured with the Vir Chakra (VC). 1 soldier was awarded the Sarvottam Yudh Seva Medal (SYSM), while 6 received the Uttam Yudh Seva Medal (UYSM) and 8 were honoured with the Yudh Seva Medal (YSM). The Sena Medal (SM) was awarded to 83 personnel, and 24 received the Vayu Sena Medal (VSM)
