Rylan Clark has humorously remarked "it doesn't work" while opening up about his quest for romance and an important revelation he's had concerning relationships. The 36-year-old presenter, known for his BBC Radio 2 spot, has recently started on the search for his perfect match following his break up with former husband Dan Neal.
Rylan and Dan, a Big Brother celebrity, tied the knot in 2015, but their marriage came to an end in 2021 after Rylan admitted to being unfaithful earlier on in their relationship.
Rylan had hoped Dan would "understand", but instead, he was met with the "exact opposite" reaction, resulting in a personal crisis that saw Rylan stepping back from his broadcasting work for four months.
Now, moving forward three years after the split, Rylan has unveiled a new podcast called How to be in Love, alongside exploring the dating scene again. When chatting with ex-adult entertainer Rebecca More on the podcast, he realised something significant about finding love.
He shared: "I've really got to be comfortable with myself and I've really got to love myself before I let anyone else love me."

Rebecca, a mother of two, also uncovered her own insights about love, admitting: "I'm still on my journey as well. When I decided I want to look for love, I was like, 'Right, I'm looking for it, I'm going to treat it like a business'."
But Rylan quickly interrupted with a candid: "It doesn't work. It doesn't work."
leading Rebecca to impart some wisdom: "Let it go, it's not down to you, it's going to show up when you least expect it."
To this, Rylan uttered with frustration: "I f***ing hate it when people say that."
Rylan recently bagged a BAFTA for his travel series with Robert Rinder. 'Rob and Rylan's Grand Tour' saw the duo sharing deeply personal experiences about how they coped with their individual divorces - with Rob's separation occurring in 2018.

The ex-Big Brother presenter found the project to be cathartic, revealing he "wasn't fully over" his own split. This revelation fuelled speculation about a possible romance brewing between them, but Rylan has put such rumours to rest by affirming that they are simply "just friends".
Following the BAFTA triumph, Rylan opened up: "For me, the show, it happened at a really weird time for me like I still wasn't fully over sort of the breakdown of my marriage and was flung with the judge. It was the best therapy I needed, put it that way."

He reflected further on the experience: "I think the journey, and I hate that word in telly but it's so true, when you watch our series, that journey from when we meet to sort of how raw, especially I was at that time."
Rylan's journey to stardom kicked off with his memorable stint on the X Factor in 2012, where he reached the live shows. Shortly after his exit, he joined the Celebrity Big Brother house and emerged victorious.
Having carved out a niche on popular programmes like This Morning and Gogglebox, Rylan bolstered his TV presence with a gig on BBC Radio 2 in 2018, stepping up as a full-time host the next year.

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom reps break silence on split after nine-year romance

The representatives for Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have broken their silence following reports in recent weeks that the pair called it time on their nine-year relationship Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have finally broke their silence after a week of swirling speculation that they have called it quits on their nine-year relationship. The couple have seen ups and downs since they first dated in 2016. They went Instagram official in May 2016 when the musician shared a funny photo of herself and Orlando dressed in bathrobes on the steps of the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cannes, France. ‌ They dated for a little over a year before calling it quits in early 2017, but they soon got back together in 2018 and announced their engagement in 2019 before moving in together that same year. Her ring consists of a ruby in the middle surrounded by eight white diamonds in a floral pattern. ‌ Katy and Orlando then took their relationship to the next level and welcomed their daughter, Daisy Dove in August 2020. The pair was last spotted together publicly at the 2025 Vanity Fair Oscar Party in March 2025. And an expert has pinpointed a telling sign that the couple weren't their usual selves even then, as unearthed snaps show a sad signal from Katy - who looks 'almost unrecognisable'. Their reps have now issued a joint statement following rumours fo their split, USMagazine reports. 'Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on coparenting. They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is — and always will be — raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect.' ‌ It comes after Orlando Bloom shared a series of cryptic quotes referring to "darkness" and "loneliness" on July 2. He shared a post by the account @sapienkind which focused on the late Carl Jung, who's considered the founder of analytical psychology. The post included more than a dozen quotes attributed to the psychologist. One quote included in the repost from Orlando was about loneliness. It read: "Loneliness does not come from having no people about one, but from being unable to communicate the things that seem important to oneself." Whilst another of those featured in the post focused on love and power. That quote read: "Where love rules, there is no will to power, and where power predominates, love is lacking. The one is the shadow of the other." "Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word happy would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness," one quote read. Whilst another read: "Know all the theories, master all the techniques, but as you touch a human soul, be just another human soul."

Love Island star's past racist slurs resurface and fans want her 'off the show'

Just weeks after one Love Island USA cast member was booted off the show for past use of racial slurs, web sleuths have uncovered slurs used by another cast member. Yulissa Escobar, a 27-year-old real estate professional from Miami was booted in just the third day of Season 7, after videos surfaced of her using the N-word in a podcast. After the swift removal of Escobar, many fans are hoping the same will happen with Cierra Ortega, a 25-year-old content creator from Phoenix, who arrived on Day 2. Past Instagram posts have surfaced of her using a racial slur towards Chinese people in two separate instances many years apart. One post from January 2015 showed a snap of her at the top of a mountain, using a version of the slur to describe how she smiles. There was also an Instagram story post from February 2023, showing her getting Botox treatments, again using the slur to describe her smile, and many fans are furious, calling for her immediate removal. One post from January 2015 showed a snap of her at the top of a mountain, using a version of the slur to describe how she smiles. While it remains to be seen if the show's producers will remove her like they removed Escobar, Ortega has already taken a bit hit in regards to her Instagram followers. She has lost over 200K followers in the past 48 hours after the posts first re-surfaced. Ortega was poised to potentially cross the 1 million follower mark at some point during Love Island Season 7, but her follower tally now stands at 709K. While she's currently coupled up with Nic Vansteenberghe as filming continues in Fiji, many are calling for her removal on social media. A new petition calling for her removal was started two days ago, when the Instagram posts first surfaced, which currently has 6,670 verified signatures. One fan - @deannacortes - shared the petition link on X, adding, 'Send Cierra Ortega home,' with the hashtags #racist #LoveIslandUSA #stopasianhate. Another X user - @ShaneAnime1990 - insisted, 'Cierra Ortega used a racist word now we have to cancel her if she did it once she'll do it again.' Cass Rabbit (@cassrabbit) tagged both @LoveIslandUSA and @Peacock in her tweet, which read, 'Get Cierra Ortega off your show. This is now the third time I'm seeing she used the slur for asians. Y'all rightfully kicked off Yulissa for saying the n word, what about Cierra? Or does racism against asians not matter to you guys?' Another X user - @h0td1lfj0hnny - asked, 'Why has cierra not been dropped from the villa,,,, she's f***ing racist using slurs. X user @SSTARZZNE added, 'cierra better be at the BOTTOM of that vote after her racist a** got exposed #LoveIslandUSA.' Ortega has not yet addressed the controversy personally via her verified Instagram page.
