Texas A&M football was the highlight from the class of 2026 recruitment cycle, particularly in June. The month wasn't kind to all schools as many suffered decommitments and missed landings, like Penn State and Auburn.

It seemed, though, that even the recruits the Aggies couldn't pull into College Station didn't hurt their overall group. While it was disappointing to not land elite recruits, Texas A&M was never desperate to fill a vacancy in its roster of rising seniors. Especially towards the end of the month, the Aggies' class of 2026 had commits sprinkled throughout both offense and defense.

Five-star Brandon Arrington's commitment sent the Aggies from good to great in terms of their recruiting position. It turned the momentum in their favor and it seemed that even if they lost a recruit to another school, they were still winning. Arrington is also head coach Mike Elko's highest-ranked commit to date.
ESPN currently ranked Texas A&M as the No. 2 overall recruiting class for 2025, noting that landing K.J. Edwards two days before Arrington was another huge win to get the Aggies started in the right direction. To round out the month, cornerback Camren Hamiel, offensive tackle Samuel Roseborough, and defensive end Tristian Givens, put Texas A&M in a comfortable spot heading into July. The Aggies also landed a five-star offensive tackle in Lamont Rogers.

All of these small and big wins may forecast success for the commitments to be announced in July. At the top of the Aggies list: Lamar Brown. Brown is the No. 1 overall defensive lineman, No. 5 recruit overall from the class, and No. 1 athlete out of Louisiana. At the moment, predictions are scattered between LSU and Texas A&M. However, Texas and Miami haven't been cut out of the race just yet.
Elko's proved that he can win both in-state and out-of-state recruitment battles, especially when the Longhorns are in the mix. Beyond the initial battle, too, the Aggies can also keep recruits away from decommitting. Madden Williams, who was up in the air as to whether he'd stick with Texas A&M earlier in the month, announced that he shut down his commitment and stayed true to his Aggies pledge.
Texas A&M currently has 21 commits, 10 of which came from June alone.

Fights continue break out at Steelers training camp

Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers joked that teammates were placing bets on who'd spark the first training camp fight — but the floodgates have certainly opened over the past two days. With the pads coming on during Wednesday's practice in Latrobe, physicality was expected — but maybe not in the way fans anticipated. WR Robert Woods and CB Joey Porter Jr. got into an altercation on the field after the veteran wideout continued to block the third-year cornerback through the whistle — and Porter took exception, with teammates coming to break up the ensuing fight. The very next day, there were two more skirmishes — both between new faces in Pittsburgh, TE Jonnu Smith and FS Juan Thornhill. It started when Smith threw a football directly at Thornhill after burning him in a one-on-one matchup. Smith then seemingly ripped off Thornhill's helmet when the Steelers safety approached, and the two began fighting — with teammates arriving quickly to break it up. Thornhill would get his revenge later on in another one-on-one matchup with Smith, breaking up a pass and jamming the football into the Steelers tight end's chest — leading to jawing and another physical altercation, broken up by teammates. Pat McAfee joked that it's far more concerning if there were zero fights at practice — and the Steelers have certainly shown a lot of heart over the past two days. Here's to hoping they can channel that same energy when it matters on Sundays, as Pittsburgh seems all in on a deep playoff run this season. Report – Inter Milan Want To Offload Argentina U21 Star After Just One Year

Inter Milan reportedly want to offload defender Tomas Palacios just one year after signing the young Argentine. This according to today's print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. Defender Tomas Palacios joined the Nerazzurri last summer. They reportedly paid a fee of over €10 million to sign him. However, so far Palacios has not exactly become a fixture in the Nerazzurri team. The young defender received only a couple of brief run-outs off the bench for Inter last summer. Then in January, Tomas Palacios joined Monza on loan. (Photo by) The intention for Palacios's loan at Monza was clearly for the young defender to receive more playing time. And the Argentine did certainly feature more than he had for Inter. However, at the same time, it was a difficult environment for Palacios. The Brianzoli were in a spiral towards relegation, and so it was often more experienced defenders who started. In any event, Tomas Palacios is back at Inter this summer after the end of his loan at the U-Power Stadium. But the Gazzetta dello Sport report that Palacios won't be back at Inter for long. The Nerazzurri do not feel that the 22-year-old has met expectations. Therefore, they are ready to try and offload him permanently after just a year.

Three Factors Suggest Atalanta Talisman Will Join Inter Milan Soon

Three main factors suggest that Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman will soon make the move to Inter Milan. Today's print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, identify the closeness in negotiations, the good relationship between Inter and Atalanta, and the player's strong desire for the move. This is likely to be the decisive day in Inter Milan's pursuit of Ademola Lookman. The Nerazzurri made their second offer for the Nigerian international earlier this week. They upped their bid from €40 million to €42 million plus €3 million in add-ons. Atalanta have not yet given Inter a formal response. But they will give the Nerazzurri their answer today. Atalanta BC looks on during the Serie A match between AC Milan and Atalanta BC at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on April 20, 2025 in Milan, Italy. (Photo by) It is possible that Atalanta could reject Inter's most recent offer. However, Tuttosport note, even then the distance between the Nerazzurri's bid and Atalanta's counteroffer would be no more than a couple million euros. Furthermore, the newspaper consider, the rapport between Inter and Atalanta is solid. Therefore, talks will hardly be difficult or acrimonious. Finally, Tuttosport note, the fact that Lookman only wants to join Inter and has been pushing his club on the move makes the transfer all the more likely.
