Google removes popular and useful feature from the Pixel Camera app
Until you change the three, those destinations will always be an option when you open Social Share. Without this shortcut, to share photos you've snapped, you will have to go to the Photos app, open a photo, and tap on the share icon to summon the share sheet so that you can share an image. To reiterate, those with the most recent version of the pixel Camera app will no longer have the Social Share feature.

Pixel Camera 9.9 also includes a new look for the 3, 5, and 10-minute timers. This new look improves the visibility of the numerals 3, 5, and 10 inside the timers making them easier to see. Instead of showing white numbers against a black background inside a small icon of a stopwatch, the new look has the numerals 3,5, and 10 inside a stopwatch with the numbers in black against a white background. This is the version that is easier to see.

Also missing from the update is the Education Hub that was listed as part of the Pixel Feature Drop for June. When the feature arrives, you'll see a question mark in the viewfinder on the top right corner. Tap on the question mark to read "Explore ways to take photos." Popular mid-range Pixel model will receive an important battery update on July 8th
Google has already made it clear that some Pixel 6a users will receive a mandatory update this month that will fix an issue with the phone's battery. To get ready for the update, Google cleared all factory image files for the Pixel 6a . The last time something like this happened, Google cleared all factory images for the Pixel 4a, and within days. the Pixel 4a's battery update was released. The Pixel 6a needs a battery update because. without one, there is a good chance that the cell on some Pixel 6a units will overheat. Google said last month that only a subset of Pixel 6a units will need the update, which will lower the capacity of the Pixel 6a 's battery, and reduce its charging performance after 400 charge cycles. When the Pixel 4a battery was recently impaired by time, Google offered users a free battery replacement, $50 payments, or a $50 discount code from the Google Store to use toward the price of any replacement device available from the online Google Store. Google called all of this the "Pixel 4a Battery Performance Program." Like it did with the Pixel 4a, you can now see if your Pixel 6a qualifies for the Pixel 6a Battery Performance Program. Google announced yesterday that the battery update for the Pixel 6a is coming July 8th, next Tuesday. Now that we know the date when it will arrive, you should know that all Pixel 6a models will receive this mandatory update. However, those with impacted Pixel 6a models will be eligible to receive a free battery replacement at no cost, a cash payment, or a hardware discount from the Google Play Store. Google will let you know if your device qualifies as an "impacted" model. "Impacted" models will also receive a notification from Google when they have completed 375 charging cycles. As we pointed out earlier in this article, Google cleared all of the factory images from the Pixel 6a stable and beta release pages. The Pixel 6a was also removed from the OTA files page. The only thing left for the Pixel 6a is a "Coming soon" notice on the factory images page explaining that a special battery update for the model will be coming soon. Just in time, starting July 21st, Google is debuting walk-in battery replacements in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, Singapore, Japan, and India. iPhone 17 Pro's leaked renders show another significant design change
The iPhone 17 series has been leaking left and right in the past couple of months, and we now know almost everything about the upcoming flagship lineup. We're up for one of the biggest design changes in the past decade when it comes to iPhones, with a brand-new camera housing spanning the whole width of the might seem like a major design swing, and it actually is, but it appears it won't be the only design change. New leaked renders of the iPhone 17 Pro show another tweak to the design Apple is making with the new iPhone. The famous Chinese leaker Majin Bu shared an alleged render of the iPhone 17 Pro, and in that picture the design change is obvious. The MagSafe design is different, and the Apple logo is positioned lower. The current design of the MagSafe magnets features a complete circle above the vertical dash line, but the new one has an opening, most likely to allow for the new placement of the Apple logo. According to Majin Bu, the change in the position is necessitated by the iPhone 17 's big camera housing. Moving the logo down will allow it to be perfectly visible when a MagSafe case is on. Had the logo remained at its previous place, it would've been partially covered by the MagSafe cases. Speaking of MagSafe cases and accessories in general, there's a pressing question that needs to be answer is yes! Sources from the manufacturing field told Majin Bu that the new design will be perfectly compatible with old MagSafe accessories, and the change will be only aesthetic. Another rumor, however, talks about faster charging speeds with the new MagSafe on the iPhone 17 , but apparently this is not due to any changes in the design itself and has something to do with the MagSafe charger. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and it's hard to judge aesthetic changes. It seems that the new camera bump, which by itself is quite controversial visually, creates a ripple effect in the iPhone 17 design as a need to hold the iPhone 17 in our hands and also put a MagSafe case on it to be able to evaluate the design, and even then, it might not be a clear-cut decision. What we can say is that the iPhone 17 looks radically different than the iPhones of late, and we haven't seen a major design change since the iPhone 11 days. At first glance the offset logo and the incomplete MagSafe ring look a bit strange, but maybe it will grow on us.
