In-form hoop Buckley eyeing Sunday stroll in Parkes
Buckley booted home a treble at Kembla Grange last weekend and is set to follow up another busy day at that track on Saturday when he rides at Parkes where his mounts include the Clint Lundholm trained Stockholm in the $40,000 Parkes Services Club Parkes Cup.
Lundholm has given Stockholm four runs back from a spell and he was tested in good company when finishing ninth behind Gallant Star in the WRA Country Championships at Coonamble
Buckley's opening ride of the day at Parkes is on the Brad Widdup prepared Turning Circle in the McPherson's Parts & Services/AEH Group Super Maiden Showcase Plate (1400m).
Turning Circle was placed at Gosford when resuming from a spell and followed that up with a 10th at Kembla Grange before a fourth as favourite at Wyong.
Last start winner Naval Officer awaits Buckley in the D'Aquino's Grand Hotel/Standen Building Class 2 Showcase Handicap (1600m) for trainer Jim McMillan. Naval Officer is on the quick back-up having scored at Wellington on Tuesday when hitting the line strongly.

The Barbara Joseph, Paul and Matt Jones trained recent Sapphire Coast winner Princess Halo is Buckley's mount in the MCA Engineering/Tanswell Transport Benchmark 58 Showcase Handicap (1000m), while he will ride consistent mare Santasia for Darrell Burnet in the McMahon Building/Zac Kelly Golf Class 2 Showcase Plate (1200m).
Since joining Burnet from trainers Tony and Calvin McEvoy, Santasia has finished second in each of three starts, the latest behind Miss Emma at Wagga.

Trainer Jason Deamer saddles up Just In Time at Rosehill
Trainer Jason Deamer admits Just In Time will need to overcome the 'unknown' in her bid to bring up a winning hat-trick in heavy conditions at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday. Just In Time is twice a winner on soft tracks but faces a significant heavy test for the first time in her career in the Jockeys Celebrations Day Benchmark 78 Handicap (1400m). Deamer has Just In Time, a $5 equal favourite, racing at the top of her game and expects her to run another bold race if she can rise the challenge in the wet. 'She gets the lightweight and she is rock hard fit.' Deamer's is the third stable of Just In Time's lightly-raced but successful career. The daughter of Justify was originally trained by Richard and Will Freedman before having three winless starts for Ciaron Maher following a lengthy stint of more than a year on the sidelines. Since arriving in Deamer's care early this preparation she hasn't put a foot wrong. She followed up an impressive first-up win at Hawkesbury with a dominant success with 60kg on her back at Newcastle last start. 'They have been nice wins,' Deamer said. 'The first one was Midway conditions and the other week was provincial so a little bit restricted but still, they were nice wins. 'I know she had a few niggling injuries earlier in her career and just needed some time to get over them. 'It's a step up in distance but she seems to have taken a lot of confidence since that win. Rosehill Gardens will undergo a track inspection from Stewards on race day morning with the Bureau Of Meteorology forecasting between 10-40mm for the Parramatta region on Saturday. The track missed the bulk of the rain on Thursday but is destined to be in the heavy range if racing gets the green light for the first day of the season. The first day of the new metropolitan racing season is also the Australian Turf Club's Jockeys Celebration Day with all the premiership winners from 2024/25 set to be celebrated across the card.

Fremantle Dockers remain unchanged for pivotal clash with Carlton at Optus Stadium
Fremantle will take an unchanged team into their clash with Carlton in a pivotal weekend for the club's finals pursuit.
