The Fever and Sky will meet for the third time this season — including the second at the United Center — when they take the floor this Sunday afternoon. It's a trying time for Chicago, in particular, which enters on a four-game losing streak and could be without All-Star forward Angel Reese.
Indiana desperately needs wins to maintain its standing in the playoff hunt while Caitlin Clark is sidelined. Will it be the latest team to deliver a lopsided loss to the Sky?

Reese missed Chicago's most recent outing — a 95-57 loss to the Seattle Storm — due to a back injury. She's officially considered day to day ahead of Sunday's tilt with the Fever, but the Sky will be hoping for a status upgrade as we approach tipoff. Reese has been on a tear over her last 10 games, averaging 17.4 points, 14.5 rebounds and four assists while shooting 50.4 percent from the field and 81.1 percent at the stripe.
Chicago's 38-point loss to the Storm was its worst this season, barely edging out a 37-point defeat at the hands of the Atlanta Dream that came just before the All-Star break. Second-year center Kamilla Cardoso led the way with 13 points and 13 rebounds, but the Sky committed 19 turnovers to 14 assists and connected on 21 out of 62 field-goal attempts. The absence of Ariel Atkins (leg) also loomed large.
Chicago has had less efficient performances this year, and unfortunately, two of them have come against the Fever. The Sky converted just over 29 percent of their looks in a 93-58 loss in Indianapolis in mid-May before going 18-for-56 from the floor in a 27-point defeat in early June.
Clark wasn't available for the latter blowout, and she's been ruled out for Sunday's clash as she manages a groin injury. Indiana's superstar guard remains without a timetable for her return, potentially putting the team in jeopardy of falling out of playoff position with just under 20 games to go.
Fortunately, the Fever still have other All-Stars to lean on in her absence. Kelsey Mitchell (21 points) paced Indiana's 80-70 win over the Las Vegas Aces on Thursday, and Aliyah Boston has often been the best player on the floor, even when Clark is available.
There isn't much reason to worry about Indiana in this spot, but time is running out for Chicago. At 7-17, the Sky would have to dramatically turn things around over the second half of the season to make a run at the playoffs, and there's little evidence to suggest that this team is capable of pulling off such a feat.
