Viktor Gyokeres has no intention of returning to Sporting and playing for the club again amid his transfer war with the club hierarchy.
That's according to Fabrizio Romano, who claims Gyokeres has already told the club that he won't be returning as he tried to force a move elsewhere.
Club president Federico Varandas told O Jogo this week that they would welcome Gyokeres back, saying: "If Viktor stays, we will be very, very happy – and it will be a problem for our rivals.
"We are completely prepared to move for our target if Viktor leaves. If he stays, we are delighted, and it will be a problem for our opponents."
Gyokeres is reportedly feeling "betrayed and tired" of the situation.

United are in the process of rebuilding their squad the Portuguese coach is said to believe that Calvert-Lewin would be a useful addition alongside more expensive signings. The Serie A side are said to have already held talks with the winger, who is reportedly open to life in Italy. Per Corriere dello Sport, Juve are willing to allow Douglas Luiz to move in the opposite direction to aid a move.
