'Our hearts and thoughts are with those we lost, their families, and everyone impacted in our community,' the company stated.
The law firm representing the company, Douglas Horngrad Law Office, briefed KRCR on the circumstances surrounding the fire and declined to offer further details, citing the ongoing investigation.

Silver Dollar Speedway also extended its condolences to those affected, stating: 'We want to send our heartfelt, sincere wishes as they deal with this destructive disaster.'
In light of the cancellation, Chico city officials are reminding residents that all types of fireworks are illegal within city limits, including "safe and sane" varieties. Violations could lead to significant fines and up to six months in county jail.
Use or possession of fireworks outside of designated areas such as Oroville, Gridley, and Biggs is prohibited throughout Butte County.
For residents still seeking to celebrate, authorities encourage alternatives such as glow sticks, noisemakers, or coordinated drone light displays.
Despite the cancellation in Chico, a fireworks show is still scheduled for the evening at Table Mountain Golf Course in Oroville.
KCRA 3 Investigation revealed that the Esparto facility, used by the fireworks company Devastating Pyrotechnics, operated on land not zoned for fireworks storage.
Yolo County records list the property's zoning as "Agricultural Intensive," specifically for almond production. The Yolo County Planning Commission confirmed no conditional use permit was issued to allow commercial storage at the site.
Who is the owner of the Esparto warehouse?
The KCRA 3 investigation also reveals that Sam Machado, a Yolo County Sheriff's Office lieutenant, owns the property.
The fireworks stored there were for Devastating Pyrotechnics and BlackStar Fireworks, both linked to Craig Cutright, who is listed as the owner of BlackStar and an employee of Devastating Pyrotechnics. Cutright also volunteers with the Esparto Fire Protection District.

Tyreek Hill accused of using intimidation tactics in messy divorce battle with estranged wife Keeta Vaccaro

Tyreek Hill dragged into controversy as Keeta Vaccaro accuses him of manipulation during ugly divorce (Getty Images) The divorce between Miami Dolphins star Tyreek Hill and Keeta Vaccaro has turned into a bitter courtroom feud that's now being publicly aired in documents and legal filings, with accusations flying from both sides. What began as a private split is rapidly becoming a high-profile legal spectacle, revealing not only strained personal dynamics but also an increasingly contentious battle over control, reputation, and custody. Keeta Vaccaro calls out Tyreek Hill 's alleged 'silencing tactics' in explosive twist to divorce proceedings Vaccaro's legal team is pushing back hard against Hill's recent motion for a gag order, labeling it a veiled attempt to silence her in court. The motion, originally filed by Hill's lawyers on June 23, requested a Miami judge to bar Vaccaro from making statements in legal documents that could harm Hill's public image. But Vaccaro's attorneys argue that the move reeks of intimidation and hypocrisy. 'In terms of purpose, the Husband's motion is a clear attempt to silence and intimidate wife's counsel and control the representation that she receives in this litigation,' they stated in the response, which was first obtained by Daily Mail. They also pointed out, 'He wants to silence the wife's lawyers while his own pleadings disparage and denigrate the wife. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch CFD với công nghệ và tốc độ tốt hơn IC Markets Đăng ký Undo ' Tyreek Hill & Keeta Vaccaro Divorce: Toxic Breakups | Humble Baddies The irony of Hill's complaint wasn't lost on Vaccaro's lawyers, who referenced what they called 'The Goose-Gander Rule,' pointing to what they see as double standards. They argue that while Hill wants to censor Vaccaro's legal commentary, he himself has made damaging allegations. In one such filing, Hill accused Vaccaro of stealing from him and fraudulently accessing his financial accounts to benefit herself and her mother. 'Three days before he filed his motion to enjoin, he filed a pleading in which he alleged… that the wife 'has a history of stealing,'' her lawyers noted, citing a headline that subsequently ran in media reports. Hill's attorneys, Michael Gottlieb and Christi Bright, claim the gag order is necessary to prevent further reputational damage, suggesting that the NFL player is a public figure under greater scrutiny. Vaccaro's response firmly counters that argument, claiming Hill simply doesn't want to 'look bad.' Beyond the battle over speech, the divorce has sparked disputes over finances and custody. Vaccaro, who shares an 8-month-old daughter named Capri with Hill, alleged that he has failed to pay temporary spousal or child support. She also accused him of withholding access to their shared home and a vehicle, denying her financial stability in the process. 'The motion is another example of the Husband's pattern of coercive control,' the response claimed. Tensions escalated further following a domestic dispute at the couple's Miami apartment in April — the same month Vaccaro filed for divorce, citing the marriage as 'irretrievably broken.' Police reports revealed that Hill had thrown a laptop and walked toward a balcony with their daughter. Though no arrests were made, officers noticed a bruise on Vaccaro's chest. In an emergency filing, Vaccaro claimed Hill disappeared for two nights following the incident and later took their daughter without her consent. She is now seeking exclusive use of the home and supervised visitation for Hill. The couple had married in November 2023 during the Dolphins' bye week, after being engaged for over two years. This unraveling, however, has exposed a much deeper breakdown than what the public had previously known, with both sides now prepared for a long legal confrontation. 5L chit fund investors to get refunds in 4 months: Samal

1 2 Bhubaneswar: State govt will refund money to all eligible investors who were duped by chit fund companies, said state BJP president Manmohan Samal here on Friday. He said the BJP, in its election manifesto, promised the people of Odisha to refund money lost in chit fund scams. The govt has already refunded Rs 47 crore to 1.26 lakh chit fund depositors in a year. "A list of 5 lakh investors is ready, and they will get refunds in the next four months," he added. Samal said that due to dedicated efforts of the BJP govt, eligible beneficiaries affected by chit funds scam will get their money back. He expressed gratitude to chief minister Mohan Charan Majhi for the initiative. He said that trusting the BJD govt, people had invested their hard-earned money in various chit fund companies. "Unfortunately, the BJD govt betrayed their trust. A total of 174 chit fund companies swindled the people of Odisha. Many ministers, MPs, and MLAs from the BJD were allegedly involved in misappropriating public money under the guise of chit funds," he alleged. Samal said several BJD members and ministers were jailed in connection with the chit fund scam. "Thousands of eligible depositors, who invested in chit funds, were left in uncertainty, leading to a loss of public trust in the govt. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Gold Is Surging in 2025 — Smart Traders Are Already In IC Markets Learn More Undo Following this, the Supreme Court intervened, leading to the formation of a corpus fund and a commission, but implementation was lacking, and the investigation report was not made public due to the questionable intentions of the BJD govt," he alleged. He said the BJP govt took immediate action to refund those affected by the chit fund scam. "The BJP govt is sensitive to the plight of the affected depositors and is committed to ensuring that all eligible people get their money back," he added. Samal said a system will be put in place to ensure that depositors can get their refunds by showing minimal proof. BJD spokesperson Lenin Mohanty said Samal is suffering from selective amnesia. "Last month, he was telling that chit fund-related documents are missing. Now he is confidently telling the govt can refund money to all chit fund investors, which means the govt has all the documents. He is misleading the people," he added. Mohanty said the BJP govt recently said Rs 119 crore was refunded to 2.79 lakh chit fund investors between 2014 and 2024. "It proves the BJD govt was refunding the money of chit fund depositors. For the sake of opposing the BJD, Samal should not speak whatever he wants," he added.

12 from Guj sentenced in US for defrauding elderly; 8 among them illegal immigrants

Ahmedabad: In a coordinated crackdown on international fraud networks targeting elderly Americans, 12 individuals of Gujarati origin — at least eight of them illegal immigrants — were sentenced across multiple states in the US between June 3 and July 3, 2025, for their roles in the crime. Several of them impersonated govt agents, laundered millions, or operated as money mules to defraud victims under false pretenses. The sentences range from one year to 12 years in prison. Federal agencies, including the FBI, Homeland Security, and US Attorneys' Offices, say the frauds evolved into well-organised operations that leverage call centres in India and Gujaratis in the US to collect and route the stolen proceeds. TOI has scanned through numerous FIRs and court documents related to the cases. In these, federal authorities have flagged a rising trend of Indian-run scam networks, particularly those tied to Gujarat. The networks typically rely on call centres in India to contact victims and use local Gujaratis in the US to collect and transport funds. Victims are often elderly and unfamiliar with financial fraud tactics. Techno Mag Learn More Undo "Each of these cases reflects how vulnerable victims are misled by individuals impersonating officials from the FBI, IRS, or Treasury," said a US law agency officer. "The Indian-origin networks behind these scams are sophisticated, and the people involved in the US play key operational roles. " Prosecutors said that many of the accused targeted seniors by claiming their Social Security numbers were compromised or that warrants were issued for their arrest. Victims were coerced into withdrawing life savings and converting them to gold or cash for 'safekeeping'. "These aren't petty frauds — they're crimes that uproot lives," said a US prosecutor in one case report. "Some victims lost their homes, their financial security, and peace of mind. " the prosecutor underscored An earlier scam trend was people running con call centres in Ahmedabad and other parts of Gujarat cheating US citizens by posing as law officers and threatening them with a case of narcotics. Whereas these cases seem to have been reported in fewer numbers, cases of frauds against elderly citizens have increased. "They are also paying the price of entering the US illegally. Their masters lure them with a promise of settling them in the US, and once they reach there, they are used as money mules," said a source in a central agency.
