Bills Get Vote of Confidence From NFC Contender

Yahoo07-05-2025

The Buffalo Bills have won the AFC East for five straight years and have gotten to the conference championship game twice during that same time. Despite the regular season success, they have yet to find a way to defeat the Kansas City Chiefs when it matters most.
And it's left some wondering how long the current regime will be allowed to stay in their roles without much change in that department. The more the team keeps winning, though, the harder it is to move on from a regime like this.

Even if they frustrate some in the fanbase for not drafting a wide receiver in the 2025 draft.
General manager Brandon Beane gave a fiery explanation over a week ago, explaining why the team opted to focus on the defensive side of the ball, more than the receiver position.
While some have gone on to criticize Beane, one other executive has come to his defense.
San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch joined former teammate Chris Simms on his latest episode of his 'Simms Unbuttoned' podcast on Monday to discuss Beane's tirade, and why he was in the right to do so.
"I thought Brandon Beane and Sean McDermott did a great job of doing that and it was seamless," Lynch said. "It helps when you have Josh Allen playing the way he played. But they still did that."

Buffalo is in good hands with Beane, McDermott, and Allen leading the way. They just need to find a way to get over the hump once and for all in the AFC Playoffs.
