Rosé Matches Her Blackpink Bandmate And Jung Kook With Her New Hit

Rosé ties BTS, Lisa and Jung Kook for the most K-pop hits on Adult Pop Airplay chart as 'On My Mind' ... More debuts, while Lisa's 'Priceless' reaches a new peak. Two of the four members of Blackpink are having phenomenal weeks on Billboard's Adult Pop Airplay chart, just as the girl group reforms to release a new single titled "Jump." Both Rosé and Lisa make history with tracks that find space on the radio roster, though they do so in different ways. While Lisa advances again and hits an impressive new peak position, Rosé scores a new win thanks to an exciting collaboration, one that helps her tie with some of the biggest names in K-pop history.
Rosé Joins Alex Warren on "On My Mind"
Rosé recently teamed up with newcomer Alex Warren for his single "On My Mind," which is set to be featured on his upcoming debut album, You'll Be Alright, Kid. That project is scheduled to drop on July 18, and Warren is hoping that a feature from Rosé will help "On My Mind" become a major hit, just as "Ordinary" — the project's breakout tune — has already proved to be on the Billboard rankings. "On My Mind" opens at No. 29 on this week's Adult Pop Airplay chart.
A Historic Third Win for Rosé
With "On My Mind," Rosé earns her third solo win on the Adult Pop Airplay list. As she earns one more hit, the Blackpink singer advances on the all-time ranking of the most successful K-pop acts in the history of the tally. She is now matched with BTS, that band's Jung Kook and her own bandmate Lisa for the most placements among K-pop artists on the Adult Pop Airplay roster.
Rosé's History on the Adult Pop Airplay Chart
Rosé first arrived on the tally under her own name in November 2024, joined by Bruno Mars on "Apt." The two would go on to peak in the runner-up spot, scoring the highest-charting tune of all time by any K-pop star on the Adult Pop Airplay ranking and missing out on the summit by just one space.
In March of this year, "Toxic Till the End," another single pushed from her solo album Rosie, peaked at No. 38 on the 40-position roster.
Blackpink's Singers Join the top K-Pop Stars
BTS earned all three of its Adult Pop Airplay chart hits in just over a year. The group arrived for the first time with "Dynamite" in September 2020, returned with "Butter" in May 2021, and by October of that year, "My Universe," a collaboration with Coldplay, debuted on the list.
Jung Kook, one of the seven members of BTS, achieved a similar feat as "Left and Right" with Charlie Puth, "Seven" with Latto, and "Too Much" with The Kid LAROI and Central Cee all landed on the ranking in less than a year and a half.
All three of Lisa's tracks to appear on the Adult Pop Airplay chart — "Moonlit Floor," "Born Again" with Doja Cat and Raye, and now "Priceless" alongside Maroon 5 — have debuted in the first half of 2025.

‘KPop Demon Hunters' Has Set Yet Another Netflix Movie Record

KPop Demon Hunters Netflix has a mega-hit on its hands with KPop Demon Hunters, the animated film where a KPop group…hunts demons, per a centuries old, song-based tradition. The film has put out actual musical hits, topping Billboard charts for both its groups, HUNTR/X and Saja Boys, which is certainly a first for any Netflix movie. Now? It's set what I believe is a second one. Well, third, if we're talking about the performance of an animated movie, but that one has come and gone. Rather, no, KPop Demon Hunters will not set the record for the longest stretch of time at #1 on Netflix's top 10 list, at least in the US. That honor belongs to Carry-On, which was there for 21 days in a row or Don't Look Up in second place with 18 days. But here, almost exactly a month after its June 20 release, KPop Demon Hunters has once again become the #1 movie on Netflix in the US. While no, it hasn't been planted there permanently, it has never left the top 3 and about six times now, a movie has come along to beat it, then fallen in the next 1-2 days and KPop Demon Hunters returns to #1 again. This just does not happen, and should be a record for the latest amount of time post-release a movie has hit #1, even if it's not consistent. We are approaching a full month in just two more days. Top 10 Why? Well, the movie is great, but word of mouth here has been positively wild. The songs keep charting, and more and more people say 'wait what songs are these?' then go check out the movie. Or people just watch the movie over and over like they would an album. It's only 90 minutes long and a large chunk of that is singing these hit songs. The visuals certainly add to the experience as well, and these full cuts of all the songs are not available on YouTube. They're also better in the context of the actual movie. One thing KPop Demon Hunters has not done is enter Netflix's most-watched movies of all time list, where it would need 137 million views to top We Can Be Heroes. It is hauling in dozens of views a week, but it's not quite there yet. We also do not know what Netflix's plan for future KPop Demon Hunters content is. It's…something, certainly, whether a sequel or a show or even a rumored live-action adaptation. But no one predicted this level of a hit, so nothing was fully planned and it would take a long while for more to be released. These killer songs don't write themselves. Tomorrowland music festival opens after its main stage was destroyed by a huge fire

BOOM, Belgium — Fans roared in excitement and organizers sighed with relief as the Tomorrowland music festival kicked off Friday — just two days after a massive fire engulfed the main stage and threw one of Europe's biggest summer concert events into doubt. Workers labored around the clock to clear out the debris from the elaborate backdrop that was consumed in Wednesday's fire. Shouting ''We made it!'', the festival's opening performers, Australian electronic music group Nervo, were able to take to the main stage Friday after a last-minute scramble and slight delay. Some charred frames were still visible behind them. No one was hurt in the fire, organizers said. The causes are being investigated. Hundreds of thousands of people from around the world attend Tomorrowland's annual multi-day festival outside the Belgian town of Boom. Some 38,000 people were camping at the festival site Friday, Tomorrowland spokesperson Debby Wilmsen said. ''Maybe there are some few people that say, OK, we would like to have a refund, but it's only like a very small percentage because most of them are still coming to the festival,' she told AP. 'It is all about unity, and I think with a good vibe and a positive energy that our festival-goers give to each other and the music we offer, I think they will still have a good time,″ she said. ''We really tried our best.″ Australian fans Zak Hiscock and Brooke Antoniou — who traveled half the world to see the famed festival as part of a summer holiday in Europe — described hearing about the fire. 'We were sitting having dinner when we actually heard the news of the stage burning down. We were very devastated and shattered, quite upset because we travelled a long way,'' Hiscock said. Ukrainian visitor Oleksandr Beshkynskyi shared their joy that the festival went ahead as planned. ''It's not just about the one DJ or two DJs you're looking to see, but about all the mood and about the dream being alive,' Beshkynskyi said. ___ Angela Charlton in Paris contributed.
