Producer Sajid Nadiadwala revealed that Housefull 5 will have two different endings, Jackie Shroff calls Akshay Kumar, ‘the biggest joker'
He went on to explain the unique twist: 'I've written a story where every theatre will have a different killer. So if you watch it at Gaiety, it'll have one killer. If you watch it at Galaxy, there'll be another. In PVR screen number 4, you'll see a different killer, and in PVR screen number 5, yet another one. It's like every time you watch the film, you'll get a different ending.' Expanding on the idea, Nadiadwala added, 'The film basically has two endings, something that hasn't even happened anywhere else in the world.'
Also present at the trailer launch was actress Nargis Fakhri, making her comeback to films with Housefull 5. Overwhelmed with emotion, she shared the serendipitous way she landed the role: 'There's so much excitement. It's also kinda funny how it actually happened. In fact, it happened here at PVR Juhu, at the elevator, where I met Sajid sir. I told him, 'Hey, I miss you, we should work together again.' And a few days later, he called and said, 'Housefull 5.' I said, 'Woah, that's amazing.' I feel like it's a great comeback. I wasn't here for a while, but now I'm finally back.' Reflecting on the shoot, she added, 'It was really incredible on the sets of Housefull 5, where everyone got along. It was such a supportive and fun set. I'm so happy that Sajid called me, and I'm here now.'

Housefull 5 also marks a return for Fardeen Khan, who's making a big-screen comeback after over a decade. Reflecting on his journey, the actor said: 'It feels like a second coming, in my case, you could argue it's a third. But to be met with so much respect, love, and appreciation from colleagues, it's something I'm deeply grateful for.' He added, 'Coming back after a 12-year break isn't something you can plan. But I'm just prepared for it. I missed being on set, missed telling stories, and missed the connection with the audience. And now to have a fourth release in just one year, and that too with Housefull 5, such a successful and iconic comedy franchise in Hindi film history, it just feels like a celebration. I'm extremely grateful to everyone who believed in me and gave me this opportunity.'
Another familiar face returning to the franchise is Jackie Shroff, who was also part of the third installment. When asked who the biggest prankster on set was, Shroff didn't hesitate: 'Itne bade bade joker hai bhai… magar sabse bada joker hai jisne abhi bola safed suit mein (Akshay Kumar) uske samne kaun bol sakta hai kuch. Ek number ka badmaash hai… khade khade kab shirt nikal deta hai pata hi nahi chalta hai.' (There are many big jokers here, brother… but the biggest joker is the one who just spoke, the one in the white suit (Akshay Kumar). Who can say anything in front of him? He's a real mischief-maker… before you know it, he'll just whip off his shirt!)
Housefull 5 is poised to make history as India's first comedy franchise to reach a fifth installment. This time, the makers have added a murder mystery twist to the franchise's signature slapstick humour, adding a new layer to the chaos and comedy. The film boasts a massive ensemble cast of 19 actors, including Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Jackie Shroff, Shreyas Talpade, Chunky Pandey, Nikitin Dheer, Fardeen Khan, Nana Patekar, Nargis Fakhri, and Johnny Lever, among others.

'Maa' box office collections day 9: Kajol starrer sees modest growth; Collects Rs 29.25 Cr in India
(Picture Courtesy: Facebook) Kajol's horror film 'Maa' continues its steady journey at the box office. After earning Rs 1 crore on its second Friday, the film saw a mild but welcoming boost on Day 9, collecting around ₹1.75 crore, based on early estimates by the Sacnilk website. Now the total collections stand at Rs 29.25 crore in India. Directed with emotional depth and backed by strong performances delivered by Kajol, Ronit Roy, and Indraneil Sengupta, 'Maa' has connected with a niche audience. Though not a mass-market blockbuster, the film has carved out a quiet space with its sensitive storytelling and grounded themes. Occupancy Grows Through the Day Saturday's overall Hindi occupancy stood at 22.07%, but the numbers rose gradually through the day. Morning shows were sparse at just 7.73%. By evening, occupancy had climbed to 26.37%, and night shows touched 32.19%. Pune was among the best-performing cities. It had an overall occupancy hitting 30.25%, and night shows reaching 42%. Kajol Reveals Intense Fights With Ajay Devgn During 'Maa', Shares Emotional Truth Mumbai and NCR regions also contributed to the day's total, though footfall remained modest. Slow and Steady as It Nears ₹30 Cr Mark With Sunday still to go, 'Maa' is expected to cross the Rs 30 crore mark by the end of its second weekend. For a mid-budget family drama without big-ticket action or spectacle, that's a good number Maa - Movie review ETimes rated the film with 3 stars and our official review reads, "Kajol delivers a compelling performance as a mother pushed to the edge, balancing vulnerability with fierce resolve. Kherin Sharma and Rupkatha Chakraborty are both impressive as young girls caught in the storm of ancient evil. Ronit Bose Roy lends solid support as the village sarpanch. While it doesn't reinvent the genre, the film delivers a mythologically rooted horror tale that makes for a decent one-time watch. " While its box office graph hasn't seen major spikes, 'Maa' has shown consistency — and in a market crowded with louder releases, that quiet stability counts. Kajol's performance continues to draw praise, and the film is expected to mint more numbers in the coming days.
