Important reminder: Rumors are just that — rumors. None of this has been confirmed as fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. We track rumor accuracy in a weekly feature called Rumor Look Back you can find here. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.
Rumors for the Day:
Dave Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio that the fan who asked CM Punk to apologize was 'obviously planted' because 'someone wanted him to apologize.'
Cory Hayes of Bodyslam.net notes that WWE is planning a battle royal for Evolution 2, with the winner receiving a title shot at Clash in Paris.
He also claimed Roxanne Perez is expected to officially be crowned tag team champion alongside Raquel Rodriguez and they will defend those titles at Evolution 2 in a triple threat match.
One more from Bodyslam on Evolution 2: there have been internal talks to do Rhea Ripley vs. Iyo Sky for the women's world championship at the show.
Fightful Select, meanwhile, says WWE is working on bringing in Trish Stratus for Evolution 2, including possibly working a match.
Fightful also says Otis recently underwent arthroscopic elbow surgery to figure out exactly what the issue is and he's not currently expected to miss much time but that could always change.

One such face of the latter programming is Scott Stanford, who joined WWE in 2009. A decade and a half later, he is now leaving the company in style. Stanford wrote on Twitter/X alongside a video of him receiving a celebratory round of applause from his WWE Studios colleagues. 'Hope to make it back one day! @TripleH @StephMcMahon @HeymanHustle.' THE FANTASTIC FOUR: FIRST STEPS Clip Features Scene Where Sue Storm Reveals She's Pregnant — GeekTyrant

Marvel Studios shared a new clip from The Fantastic Four: First Steps and it's set during a dinner scene with the family. Sue Storm and Reed Richards are acting weird and while Johnny is questioning them, Ben realizes what is going on. Sue, then confrirms that she's preganant. Set against the vibrant backdrop of a 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic world, The Fantastic Four: First Steps introduces Marvel's First Family—Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Ben Grimm/The Thing—as they face their most daunting challenge yet. Forced to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond, they must defend Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus (Ralph Ineson) and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer (Julia Garner). And if Galactus' plan to devour the entire planet and everyone on it weren't bad enough, it suddenly gets very personal. The movie is rooted in the old-fashioned optimism that inspired the comic that birthed the modern Marvel Universe in 1961. The director previously said: 'More than just the visual aesthetics, the '60s to me are all about optimism. It's about looking to the stars and dreaming about traveling into space. It's about how with the right heart and the right mind, you can do anything — which is what the Fantastic Four is all about.' Directed by WandaVision 's Matt Shakman, the film boasts a high-profile cast led by Pedro Pascal (Reed), Vanessa Kirby (Sue), Joseph Quinn (Johnny), and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Ben), with a supporting lineup that includes John Malkovich, Natasha Lyonne, Paul Walter Hauser, and Sarah Niles in yet-to-be-revealed roles. The script was originally written by Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer, it was revised by Cameron Squires and Avatar: The Way of Water co-writer Josh Friedman, with Eric Pearson ( Thor: Ragnarok, Black Widow ) giving it the final pass. The Fantastic Four: First Steps in theaters on July 25, 2025.

SUPERMAN Clip Explains Clark Kent's 'Hypno Glasses' in a Hilarious Exchange — GeekTyrant

A brand new clip from Superman recently was shared during Nathan Fillion's appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live , and it finally gives fans a fun in-universe explanation for Clark Kent's hypno glasses that somehow convince people he's not Superman. In the scene, Fillion's Guy Gardner is chatting with Rachel Brosnahan's Lois Lane, and he casually brings up the whole 'how do you know Superman?' question. Lois brushes him off with a cool, 'I just do,' but Gardner isn't letting it go. He then drops the big reveal: 'I'm not saying who he is, just that he wears hypno glasses. They make his face terrific. How do they work? They make his face look different in your brain when he wears them so that you don't know who he is.' Hawkgirl (Isabela Merced) immediately calls him out for sharing what seems like a major secret, but Gardner deflects. He's not saying who Superman is, just that those glasses are doing some psychic heavy lifting. Lois quickly shuts him down with a deadpan 'I know about the hypno glasses,' confirming she's already in on the secret. The glasses have always been a sticking point for some fans. The idea that a pair of glasses could conceal the most powerful being on Earth feels like one of those 'just go with it' comic book rules. But director James Gunn decided to lean into the weirdness and actually make it make sense. In a prevously interview Gunn explained how the idea evolved: 'I was sitting with Tom King, the comic book writer, and I was like, 'You know the thing that I just don't really know how to reconcile in myself is the glasses because the glasses always bothered me as a kid.' 'They bothered me because I just don't have that much suspension of disbelief to believe that. But he said, 'You know, there's an answer for that in the comics, it's canon that they hypnotize people.'' So yes, in Superman , Clark's glasses are canonically doing a bit of sci-fi trickery, with their mind-bending tech that keeps his identity safe. Leave it to Gunn to turn suspension of disbelief into a plot point that actually enhances the universe's strange charm.
