Harrington prize money as he earns massive pay-day for Senior US Open win
Padraig Harrington in the 2025 Senior US Open Champion after beating out the field at the Broadmoor Club in Colorado. A final round of 67 left the Dubliner on 11-under for the tournament, one stroke clear of eventual runner-up Stewart Cink. Harrington and Cink traded the lead on numerous occasions this evening, with Harrington eventually edging past the 2009 Open Champion. Cink had Harrington on the ropes at one point as he reeled off four Birdies on the spin. But Harrington showed his trademark mental toughness, making Birdie at a key time before parring the final seven holes to take home the win. This win makes Harrington a two-time major champion on the PGA Champions Tour following on from his US Open win in 2022 added to his three major wins that were secured before he joined the PGA Champions Tour. Harrington's victory should come as little surprise to fans following the senior tour as the 53-year-old has been in excellent form, going close at the PGA Championship last month. And to make things even sweeter for Harrington, he is set to take home a paycheque for $800,000, not a bad week's work for the three

Padraig Harrington in hunt for big prize money at US Senior Open
Padraig Harrington is chasing one of his biggest paydays in recent years as he aims for a second US Senior Open. The three-time major winner won the event back in 2022 and now goes in hunt for a second Seniors Major. The Irishman will tee it up alongside Australia's Mark Hensby and 2009 Open champion Stewart Cink, with the three players tied at the top on eight-under-par, while Ryder Cup-winning captain Thomas Bjorn sits one shot behind. Harrington may well be one of the richest Irish sportspeople of all time, amassing millions in career earnings and will add a decent chunk to his net worth today if he can get over the line. The prize for top spot is a cool $800,000 (€682,500) while the runner up will still net a nice $432,000 (€368,000). In fact, Harrington could be nearly home and hosed, other than a poor back nine yesterday. The Dubliner carded a stunning four-under-par opening nine before making double on the par-three 12th and bogeying the 15th but a birdie on the 18th meant he'd have a share of the lead going into the final day. Here is a full breakdown of the earnings. 1st - $800,000 (€680,000)2nd - $432,000 (€367,000)3rd - $255,061 (€216,800)4th - $178,788 (€152,000)5th - $148,913 (€126,600)6th - $132,039 (€112,200)7th - $119,039 (€101,100)8th - $106,613 (€90,600)9th - $96,489 (€82,000)10th - $88,627 (€75,300)11th - $80,880 (€68,700)12th - $74,782 (€63,600)13th - $69,682 (€59,200)14th - $64,313 (€54,700)15th - $59,711 (€50,800)16th - $55,876 (€47,500)17th - $52,808 (€44,900)18th - $49,740 (€42,300)19th - $46,672 (€39,700)20th - $43,604 (€37,100)21st - $40,958 (€34,800)22nd - $38,311 (€32,600)23rd - $35,742 (€30,400)24th - $33,364 (€28,400)25th - $31,293 (€26,600)26th - $29,529 (€25,100)27th - $28,187 (€24,000)28th - $26,998 (€23,000)29th - $25,848 (€22,000)30th - $24,697 (€21,000)31st - $23,547 (€20,000)32nd - $22,396 (€19,000)33rd - $21,246 (€18,100)34th - $20,210 (€17,200)35th - $19,366 (€16,500)36th - $18,523 (€15,700)37th - $17,717 (€15,100)38th - $16,950 (€14,400)39th - $16,183 (€13,800)40th - $15,416 (€13,100)41st - $14,649 (€12,500)42nd - $13,882 (€11,800)43rd - $13,115 (€11,100)44th - $12,348 (€10,500)45th - $11,581 (€9,800)46th - $10,891 (€9,300)47th - $10,201 (€8,700)48th - $9,549 (€8,100)49th - $9,165 (€7,800)50th - $9,782 (€8,300)51st - $8,552 (€7,300)52nd - $8,360 (€7,100)53rd - $8,206 (€7,000)54th - $8,130 (€6,900)55th - $8,053 (€6,800)56th - $7,976 (€6,800)57th - $7,900 (€6,700)58th - $7,823 (€6,600)59th - $7,746 (€6,600)60th - $7,670 (€6,500)
