'FIRE DEF REBEL!': 4 WWE entrance themes that fans agree missed the mark

WWE fans made their voices heard loud and clear on this week's episode of NXT, chanting 'Fire Def Rebel' after Jordynne Grace walked out to a newly composed entrance theme. While Grace went on to win her match and qualify for the #1 Contender's Fatal Four-Way, the reaction to her entrance music sparked fresh outrage online - with many fans slamming WWE's long-time music group, Def Rebel, for what they call a growing list of 'misses.
'
Here are four WWE entrance themes that fans believe failed to deliver the hype:
1. Jordynne Grace - NXT (2025)
— FadeAwayMedia (@FadeAwayMedia)
The most recent example came on June 17 during NXT, when Jordynne Grace debuted a new entrance track ahead of her match against Lola Vice. While Grace's performance inside the ring was praised, her new theme left fans confused - and, frankly, irritated. The chants of 'Fire Def Rebel!' echoed through the Performance Center, with social media echoing the sentiment.
Many pointed out the disconnect between the high-impact persona of 'Big Momma Pump' and the low-energy, generic track she was assigned.
2. Keith Lee - RAW (2020)
When Keith Lee moved up to the main roster in 2020, fans were thrilled - until they heard his new music. Gone was the bombastic, self-rapped anthem that helped define his NXT run. Replaced with a softer, heavily-produced track by Def Rebel, the change drew heavy backlash. WWE eventually tweaked the theme, but many still feel it never recovered the original magic.

3. Chelsea Green - SmackDown (2023)
Known for her vibrant and dramatic 'Hot Mess' character, Chelsea Green's entrance music was expected to be equally chaotic and fun. Instead, fans were greeted with a bland, generic rock track that failed to reflect her energy. The mismatch between character and theme quickly made her music one of the most skipped tracks on WWE's official Spotify list.
4. Shayna Baszler - RAW (2021)
Shayna Baszler once had a theme that perfectly matched her intimidating persona. But after Def Rebel reworked her entrance in 2021, fans noticed a glaring drop in impact. The slow-paced, drum-heavy remix stripped away the raw energy that had made her walkouts must-watch moments.
While WWE often evolves its soundscape, the reaction to these misfires shows fans aren't afraid to speak out. Whether it leads to changes remains to be seen, but one thing is clear: the music matters just as much as the mayhem.

‘Project Hail Mary' trailer: Ryan Gosling is humanity's last hope in Lord & Miller's sci-fi comedy

Amazon MGM Studios has released the first trailer for Project Hail Mary, a sci-fi comedy starring Ryan Gosling as an ordinary science teacher turned unlikely astronaut tasked with saving Earth from cosmic disaster. The film is directed by Oscar-winning duo Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse) and adapted from Andy Weir's bestselling novel by screenwriter Drew Goddard (The Martian). Gosling plays Ryland Grace, a middle-school teacher who wakes up aboard a spaceship, alone and light-years from Earth, with no memory of how he got there. As fragments of his memory return, Grace realises he's humanity's last hope in a mission to investigate a mysterious substance that's threatening the sun's ability to sustain life on Earth. As he pieces together the truth, he also forms an unlikely bond with an alien life form that may be key to his survival. Your first look at Project Hail Mary. Trailer launches Monday. — Amazon MGM Studios (@AmazonMGMStudio) June 27, 2025 Joining Gosling is Sandra Hüller, the Oscar-nominated actor from Anatomy of a Fall, who plays the scientist responsible for convincing Grace to leave Earth behind. Gosling, who also serves as a producer, called the film 'an insanely ambitious story that's massive in scope,' during a CinemaCon appearance earlier this year. The project marks another spacefaring role for the actor, who previously portrayed Neil Armstrong in First Man. Project Hail Mary is slated for theatrical release in 2025.

SPOILER: WWE Hall of Famer to challenge for Women's title at Evolution 2025 after nearly twenty years

Image via WWE WWE is gearing up to bring back the all-women's Premium Live Event, WWE Evolution 2025. It will take place at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, on July 13. Some top showdowns were added to the card on the June 30th edition of Monday Night RAW in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. WWE also taped the show for the upcoming July 4 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, which saw a huge match being confirmed for the show, that will see a WWE Hall of Famer returning to the squared circle one more time for a Women's title opportunity. Which WWE Hall of Famer will challenge for a title at WWE Evolution? At the tapings of the July 4th edition of WWE SmackDown, WWE Women's Champion Tiffany Stratton came out to the ring. She addressed her potential opponent for WWE SummerSlam, Jade Cargill, who earned the opportunity by defeating Asuka in the Queen of the Ring tournament finals at Night of Champions PLE. Stratton also stated that she intended to defend her title at WWE Evolution PLE. This led to The Storm coming down to the ring to confront Stratton. The Center of the Universe told her she would face a different opponent at Evolution. It was none other than WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus who came out next to a huge ovation. Stratus agreed to the challenge and had an exchange with the champion. This will be the first time Trish Stratus has challenged for the WWE Women's Championship after nearly two decades. The last one-on-one singles title bout she competed in was back in 2006. It was her final match as a full-time in-ring competitor against her longtime rival, Lita. The duo delivered one of the top showdowns in WWE history that saw Stratus win her seventh title and retire in her hometown of Toronto, Canada. The Diva of the Decade will once again have that opportunity against Tiffany Stratton, the same woman she teamed up with at the 2025 WWE Elimination Chamber PLE to defeat Nia Jax and Candice LeRae. However, with competitors on opposite ends now, it remains to be seen if Stratton can outlast a renowned name like Trish Stratus in one of the biggest matches of her career. The event will take place on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. The first match for the card was made official by WWE's developmental brand, NXT. Following this week's edition of Monday Night RAW , three huge matches were officially announced for the show. WWE Evolution 2025 will see top-tier female superstars compete in marquee matches On the June 30th edition of WWE RAW, IYO Sky and Rhea Ripley met inside the ring for a confrontation. The duo had a great rivalry at the beginning of the year. Interestingly, it was IYO who defeated The Eradicator to become the WWE Women's World Champion and has remained the title holder since then. The Genius of the Sky announced that RAW General Manager Adam Pearce had granted her the choice of an opponent for WWE Evolution. She offered a title shot to Ripley, who accepted it for WWE Evolution. The second match made official for WWE Evolution will see the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships being defended. Finn Balor and JD McDonagh met with RAW and SmackDown GMs, Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis, to convince them to let Raquel Rodriguez find a replacement for Liv Morgan, who got injured a few weeks ago. They suggested Roxanne Perez's name, which they agreed on. However, they asked the team to prove their mettle and announced a Fatal 4-Way tag team match for the titles, where Perez and Rodriguez will defend the titles against one team from RAW, SmackDown, and NXT. The last match added to the WWE Evolution card was a huge Battle Royal announced by both RAW and SmackDown GMs in a vignette. They stated that multiple women will compete in the match, with the winner getting a Women's Championship match at WWE Clash in Paris Premium Live Event. Moreover, the NXT Women's title will also be defended by the champion, Jacy Jayne, against the No.1 contender who won a Fatal 4-Way match last week, Jordynne Grace.
