PETALING JAYA: A 33-year-old man has been fatally stabbed in Kampung Kubu Gajah here and police have arrested a suspect.
Sungai Buloh OCPD Supt Mohd Hafiz Muhammad Nor said the incident occurred on June 25 after the 40-year-old suspect and victim got into an argument at a house in Kampung Kubu Gajah.
He said police received a distress call and dispatched a patrol team to the scene.
The victim was found unconscious in the living room with stab wounds to the left of his chest.
"Police arrested the suspect at the scene and forensics seized a knife allegedly used to stab the victim," he said.
Investigations showed that both the suspect and victim had just arrived from Kelantan three days ago.
The suspect has been remanded for six days until July 1 and investigations are being conducted under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

TAWAU: A dispute between two men believed to be under the influence of alcohol turned violent when one of them was stabbed outside a supermarket here yesterday afternoon. The incident took place at 3.43pm after an argument broke out between the two labourers, who are known to each other. Both were reportedly intoxicated at the time. The argument escalated into a physical confrontation, which ended with one man stabbing the other with a sharp object. District police chief Assistant Commissioner Jasmin Hussin said the suspect, a 37-year-old foreigner, was arrested at 5pm at the scene. "Checks showed that he did not possess valid identification documents to be in Malaysia," he said in a statement. Police also seized the weapon believed to have been used in the attack. The case is being investigated under Section 326 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing grievous hurt with a weapon. The suspect is also being investigated under Section 6(1)(c) of the Immigration Act 1959/63 for lacking valid travel documents and is being detained under Section 51(5)(b) of the same Act. Earlier, a video of the incident went viral on social media, showing the victim lying on the ground with serious injuries. Several bystanders were seen surrounding him at the scene. The victim was later rushed to hospital for treatment.

The five students, aged between 15 and 17, were remanded for investigation under Section 147 of the Penal Code, Bernama reported. In a statement on Thursday, he said the boy suffered pain in his abdomen and right rib, as well as bruises on his back. KUALA LUMPUR: Police detained two foreign men yesterday for allegedly impersonating a public servant and engaging in a physical altercation at Jalan Dinar, Taman Subang Perdana, Kampung Baru Subang, Selangor. Sungai Buloh police chief Supt Mohd Hafiz Muhammad Nor said authorities received a distress call at 1.15 pm, prompting patrol officers to intervene. 'Upon arriving, officers arrested two foreign nationals, aged 26 and 32, suspected of involvement in the fight. One was found handcuffed inside a car,' he stated. Initial investigations revealed the dispute arose from a personal disagreement between the two individuals, who were reportedly friends. Police seized two Perodua cars and a pair of handcuffs from the scene. The case is being investigated under Section 160 (affray) and Section 170 (impersonating a public servant) of the Penal Code, as well as Section 89 of the Police Act 1967 for unlawful possession of police equipment.
