Dana White: Nothing Will Change My Mind On UFC Stadium Fight Cards
UFC CEO Dana White attended WrestleMania 41 earlier this month. White was part of a crowd of over 124,000 fans who witnessed the two-night WWE event at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The experience left the UFC boss unmoved regarding his opinion on UFC stadium events.
"No, nothing will change my mind about a stadium show," White said during the UFC Kansas City post-fight press conference. "I mean, you guys were here tonight. Kansas City is an awesome city. The people here are great, I really like this town and the energy in that place was awesome all night. That's the energy you get – not that there wasn't any (energy at WrestleMania). What'd they have, 63,000 people there? You're going to get some energy like they did. I am not a fan of stadiums. I like arenas."
White's stance echoed what he said in September 2024 when the subject of a fight card at Allegiant Stadium came up.
"I don't want to take the experience away from people,' White said. 'We've done stadiums before. It's just it's not my favorite thing. I like arenas. Yeah, I really like arenas.
'I think that fans get a much — what I care about every Saturday, whether you stayed home and watched it on TV or you came to the venue and watched it — is that everybody walks away on a Saturday night going, 'God, I'm glad I came to the fights,' or 'This was worth coming to,'' White continued. 'Or, they don't walk out going, 'Well, that sucked. That wasn't a good experience.' That's what I focus on literally every week.'
No, that's not what I look for,' White added. 'I look for incredible experiences, unique experiences, and things that have never been done before. That's what I'm into. I'm not like, 'Oh, I have to do Allegiant Stadium.' I don't have to do Allegiant Stadium. I want to give fans a great experience every time.'
The UFC has held five stadium events in the promotion's history:
UFC 129: Georges St. Pierre vs. Jake Shields at Rogers Centre in Toronto on April 30, 2011
UFC on FOX 14: Alexander Gustafsson Vs. Anthony Johnson at Tele2 Arena in Stockholm, Sweden on January 24, 2015
UFC 193: Ronda Rousey vs. Holly Holm at Etihad Stadium (now Marvel Stadium) in Melbourne, Australia on November 14, 2015
UFC 198: Fabricio Werdum vs. Stipe Miocic at Arena da Baixada in Curitiba, Brazil on May 14, 2016
UFC 243: Israel Adesanya vs. Robert Whittaker at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne, Australia on October 6, 2019
UFC Kansas City took place at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri on April 26. Ian Machado Garry beat Carlos Prates by decision in the welterweight main event.
The next UFC fight card, UFC Des Moines takes place on Saturday, May 3 at Wells Fargo Center in Des Moines, Iowa. The event has a bantamweight main event between Cory Sandhagen and Deiveson Figueiredo.

Seth Rollins looms large at SummerSlam amid possible knee injury
The Undisputed WWE Championship and the World Heavyweight Championship will both be up for grabs during the first-ever two-night SummerSlam this weekend. Gunther will defend the World Heavyweight Championship against CM Punk, and John Cena, in likely his final SummerSlam premium live event, will defend the Undisputed WWE Championship in a street fight. There's one person who looms large over the entire world championship scene, and he is Seth Rollins. Rollins appeared to have suffered a knee injury during his Saturday Night's Main Event match against LA Knight. He came up lame as he tried to land a moonsault onto Knight. The referee briefly stopped the match but when he decided to continue on, Knight took advantage and won. Since then, Rollins has not appeared on "Monday Night Raw." Instead, his consigliere, Paul Heyman, has held his Money in the Bank briefcase as Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed continued to wreak havoc on Jey Uso and Roman Reigns. Rollins has only addressed the knee injury once – when he filled in as the host for Rich Eisen on his radio show. "There was some imaging. It was a little too swollen. So, we're going to take another look, hopefully in a week or two here in LA," he said. "Try to get some sort of firm diagnosis, and we can go from there. I am not a doctor, I only know my body and what I feel. What I feel is that this is going to be me out for an extended period of time." Those remarks were made on July 16. He hasn't been seen or heard from since, and it's unclear how hurt Rollins actually is. Heyman teased a Plan B with Breakker, but that has yet to unravel itself. Rollins could cash in his Money in the Bank contract at any time and insert himself into a match for either title. It could make the moment for either title match huge. But the bigger question is which title he would go for. "The Revolutionary" could very well make sure that he fulfills his promise to make sure Punk never holds as championship ever again and insert himself into his match against Gunther. He could also do it without cashing in his contract and go for the major prize. Rollins and Rhodes have feuded in the past and the two teamed up at WrestleMania 40 to take on The Rock and Roman Reigns. The Undisputed WWE Championship is the biggest prize in WWE and to take the title away from Rhodes and Cena would certainly turn WWE on its head. Rollins nearly cashed in at Night of Champions. The third possibility is that Rollins is actually hurt and that the injury isn't a so-called "work." But injured or not, Rollins holds the cards at the biggest event of the summer in WWE.

UFC on ESPN 71's Kevin Vallejos confident he'll be the first to KO Danny Silva
Kevin Vallejos wants to be the first to put the lights out on Danny Silva. Danny Silva has never been knocked out in his pro MMA career, and Kevin Vallejos has every intention of changing that. Vallejos (15-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC) and Silva (10-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC) meet in a featherweight bout at UFC on ESPN 71 (ESPN, ESPN+), which takes place Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. It's a matchup many fans have circled on the card, given both fighters' styles. Vallejos, who's developing into a fan favorite knockout artist in the UFC, can't wait to test his power on Silva's chin. "I know that I can knock him out, and I will do it on Saturday," Vallejos told Hablemos MMA in Spanish. "I know I can knock him out, like I have with other people, who at the time had never been knocked out. This won't be an exception." To some, Vallejos' confidence in getting the knockout may seem like he's overlooking Silva, but that's not the case. "It's a tough fight," Vallejos explained. "I feel like this is a new experience. He's got good boxing, good kicks, good clinch, and wrestling. I think he's going to test me and put me in a spot where I have to show my talent." Despite getting a brutal, first-round KO in his UFC debut this past March, "El Chino" was left without a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus. He's hoping to get his this time around with the type of knockout he plans on delivering. "This time it's not getting away," Vallejos said when asked about the bonus. "Last time, we had seven finishes in one night. I don't think I can have that bad luck again and be in a card with that many finishes. This time it will be mine."

WWE SummerSlam 2025 Night 1 Preview, Start Time And Streaming Info
WWE SummerSlam 2025, Night 1, advertised three title matches and three high-stakes tag team matches. It seems that WWE is trying to incorporate as many Superstars on SummerSlam as possible, because despite sticking to its five-to-six match formula, the multiple tag team matches means more bodies on the Premium Live Event. WWE SummerSlam 2025 Night 1 Match Card And Odds WWE SummerSlam 2025 Night 1 Ticket Sales WWE SummerSlam 2025 Start Time And Where To Stream WWE SummerSlam 2025 Preview And Predictions Tiffany Stratton Vs. Jade Cargill Tiffany Stratton vs Jade Cargill is a battle of promising WWE stars who are better off as babyfaces. Cargill has adapted to her role as a babyface since her return at Elimination Chamber, and is now one win away from winning her first world title in the promotion. Tiffany Stratton got her biggest career win at WrestleMania 41 over Charlotte Flair, in a heated grudge match, and SummerSlam feels like the end of the road. 'Smart' (read: Internet Wrestling) fans will be out in full force in New York, so it'll be interesting to see where their loyalties lie as Stratton is very popular with that group. Randy Orton and Jelly Roll vs. Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre WWE has done a great job building up this celebrity tag team match, and Jelly Roll has been a natural as a humble, likable babyface looking to give Logan Paul his comeuppance. Orton defeated McIntyre in a singles match with Jelly Roll and Paul, respectively, at ringside. Jelly Roll has taken his wrestling training far more seriously than Travis Scott, and is a lock to overdeliver come SummerSlam. The Judgment Day vs. Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair have blossomed as frenemies on SmackDown. Their unofficial battlecry is 'We're Not Friends.' Bliss and Charlotte were reportedly scheduled to face off in singles action at SummerSlam, but after catching on with fans, they're now in their second Tag Team Title match in the last two PLEs. Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss are just getting started as a babyface tag team as well as a successful rehabilitation project for Charlotte. Roman Reigns and Jey Uso vs. Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker absolutely destroyed Roman Reigns and Jey Uso on Raw. Both up-and-coming Paul Heyman guys go into SummerSlam with as much heat as they've ever had, not to mention Roman Reigns' Jordans. In Reigns' return match after just having been laid out by two rising stars, it's impossible for me to believe Reigns and Uso won't get their get-back at SummerSlam. Sami Zayn vs. Karrion Kross The rise of Karrion Kross continues with Kross receiving his first singles match at SummerSlam. Last month, at WWE Night of Champions, marked Kross' first singles PLE match since 2022. Karrion Kross, playing the role of Brian Pillman, is in a stipulation match against Zayn, where if Kross wins Sami must utter the words 'Kross told the truth.' I expect this to be a chant throughout the match with a pro-Karrion crowd filled with smart fans. Even as a sizable underdog, Kross defeating Sami Zayn would be a feel-good moment at one of WWE's biggest shows. Gunther vs. CM Punk CM Punk is pursuing his second world championship within a month, and this match could go either way. Gunther shockingly defeated Jey Uso to regain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Gunther successfully defended his world title last month, retiring Goldberg, while Punk is coming off a Gauntlet win after coming up short to Cena. Seth Rollins will likely be waiting in the wings to cash in his Money in the Bank contract after a dubious knee injury, which suggests CM Punk will be the world champion if and when that happens.
