This season's cast includes eight returning champions—Cara Maria Sorbello, Derrick Kosinski, Aviv Melmed, Ashley Mitchell, Rogan O'Connor, CT Tamburello, Johnny 'Bananas' Devenanzio, and Turbo—who will face off against a new roster of reality TV alumni.
Dubbed the 'New Threats,' the group includes contestants from a wide array of shows including Big Brother, Survivor, Love Island, Too Hot to Handle, Are You the One?, The Amazing Race, Married at First Sight UK, Canada's Ultimate Challenge, and Cheer. Among the notable additions are a professional boxer and a former WWE superstar, adding even more diversity to the competition.

To introduce the cast, The Challenge: Vets and New Threats: Day Zero, a launch special, will air on July 23 at 8 p.m. ET on MTV and will also be available via MTV.com, VOD platforms, and the show's official YouTube channel. A companion podcast will also return, with new episodes dropping every Thursday.
The season is produced by Bunim/Murray Productions, with Julie Pizzi, Justin Booth, and Jacob Lane as executive producers.

Jessie J clarifies cancer surgery update: ‘I don't have my results yet'
Jessie J is setting the record straight after fans misunderstood her recent update about undergoing surgery for breast cancer. The 37-year-old singer shared a post earlier this week that many took as confirmation she was cancer-free. Now, she's clarified: she's still waiting on her post-op results. 'You misunderstood my post,' Jessie wrote in an Instagram Story. 'I said 'cancer has all gone' as a positive affirmation, not a confirmed fact. I don't have my results yet.' The singer underwent surgery just six nights ago and emphasised that recovery is still ongoing. 'I added the fingers-crossed emoji, hoping people would understand. I wasn't being literal,' she explained. 'The cancer journey isn't that simple.' Earlier, Jessie had shared a candid list of 'pros and cons' following her surgery. Under the pros, she included light-hearted and hopeful reflections like 'cancer has all gone,' 'I can watch Love Island with no guilt,' and 'my mum lives with us.' She also credited her partner, Chanan Colman, and their two-year-old son Sky for giving her comfort during this time. In the cons section, Jessie opened up about the emotional and physical toll. She wrote about missing her usual role as a hands-on mom, the lingering fear of not knowing if the cancer is truly gone, and the discomfort of healing. 'Sneezing is a myth.' she joked. 'That hurts.' Despite the confusion, Jessie is staying positive and transparent with her followers as she continues her recovery. 'I pray the results will bring good news,' she wrote, reminding fans that healing especially from cancer is rarely a straight path.

Roman Reigns cast as Akuma in upcoming live-action Street Fighter movie
WWE superstar Roman Reigns is stepping into the world of video game cinema with his latest role as Akuma in the live-action Street Fighter film. According to a report by The Hollywood Reporter, Reigns joins a growing cast in Legendary Entertainment's reboot of the iconic fighting game franchise. While the film's plot remains under wraps, the casting news comes alongside confirmation that rapper 50 Cent (Curtis Jackson) is also set to appear, reportedly playing the role of Balrog. The new Street Fighter adaptation continues to build hype with its star-studded lineup, which already includes Andrew Koji as Ryu, Noah Centineo as Ken, Callina Liang as Chun-Li, and Jason Momoa rumored to portray Blanka. Reigns, who has been off WWE television since his character was written out by a faction involving Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, and Paul Heyman on the RAW after WrestleMania 41, now turns his focus to the big screen. Taking on the role of Akuma—a powerful, red-haired martial artist known for his dark techniques—marks a bold new chapter in Reigns' entertainment career. The film is being developed by Legendary in partnership with Capcom, and it is expected to lean heavily into the iconic Street Fighter II characters and storyline. Directed by Kitao Sakurai, best known for The Eric Andre Show, the film was initially slated for a March 2026 release but has since been delayed. As production ramps up, fans of both pro wrestling and classic fighting games are eager to see how Roman Reigns brings the fierce Akuma to life on screen.
