The Chicken Sisters Officially Renewed for Season 2 at Hallmark Channel, David James Elliott Joins Cast
The family drama, which debuted its first season last year exclusively on streaming service Hallmark+, has been renewed for a Season 2, to air on Hallmark Channel. (New episodes will still stream next day on Hallmark+.)

The network also announced Monday that David James Elliott (JAG) will recur in the second season, playing someone who resurfaces from Gus' past.
Production begins Monday under the direction of new showrunner/executive producer Erin Gibson (Throwing Shade), and Season 2 is expected to premiere later this year.
The sophomore run will follow Amanda, Mae, Nancy and Gus as they 'use The Chicken Sisters restaurant to officially put a generations-long feud to rest,' per the official synopsis. Meanwhile, Frank Jr. opens a Mr. Chicken's Cluckery on Merinac's Main Street, and a familiar face (Elliott) comes back to town. As Mae and Jay's wedding approaches, 'viewers will follow the Moore-Hillier women as they rise above the roost, proving that family is the only prize worth fighting for,' the synopsis concludes.
The Chicken Sisters wrapped Season 1 in October 2024, and recently made its cable debut on Hallmark Channel, where it is currently airing Season 1 episodes Sundays at 8/7c (through May 18).

New Air and Space Museum galleries open in D.C.
New galleries will open at the Air and Space Museum on Monday. Why it matters: It marks another completed phase of the Smithsonian museum's almost $1 billion renovation, which began in 2018 and will see all 20 galleries refreshed and 1,400 new artifacts by next year. Jennifer Love Hewitt slams Sarah Michelle Gellar feud rumors
She knows what they did last summer. As the modern classic 1997 horror movie 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' has gotten a 2025 revival (now in theaters), there have been rumors of a feud between original stars Jennifer Love Hewitt, 46, and Sarah Michelle Gellar, 48. 'I honestly remain still so confused by all of that stuff,' Hewitt exclusively told The Post. 'So I had a lot of people that were very angry with me about that. A lot of friends or fans were like, 'Oh, we're going to watch this show and you die in the first episode!' Now, I have to assure anyone when I'm in a project that I'm going to be in more than one episode.' The latest 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' ended with a wild post-credits scene, suggesting more movies in the franchise could happen. 'Oh my gosh, I have no idea. I mean, truthfully, I was just excited to be asked back for this one. So I don't want to be too greedy,' Hewitt told The Post. 'But as long as there's a really interesting, fun story to tell, and as long the people still care about the characters, I'm always happy to hopefully find my way back there.'
