The Ama x Salomon XT-Whisper Void Is Inspired by the Sea
Salomon's XT-Whispercontinues to remain top of mind for the footwear imprint, continuously reimagining the silhouette and expanding its universe by way of exciting new collaborations and colorways. The latest in the lineup is British singer-songwriterAma, who has teamed with Salomon to serve up the Ama x Salomon XT-Whisper Void in partnership with her creative agency, I Came Home Late Studios.
The revamped Whisper lands in a whimsical Vanilla Ice / Fusion Coral / Emberglow colorway, with each color design connected to a deeper meaning inspired by the sea and the strength of Japanese 'Ama'divers – women who descended into the ocean for centuries in pursuit of harvesting pearls.
The white speaks to the 'treasure sought in silence,' while the coral orange represents 'a flash of life—vivid, raw, and the same shade that warms the gloves of the divers,' and seaweed green pays proper homage to the greenery that lives beneath the undercurrents. Functionality-wise, the new collaborative Whipser Void comes complete with the classic Sensifi™ and Quicklace precision fit, as well as an Agile Chassis system that ensures stability, support, and grip.
'Number one (reason to wear Salomon) is functionality, at the end of the day, it doesn't matter if you're a fashion girl, there's nothing more annoying than having shoes that don't feel good,' Ama elaborated in a press statement, pointing to her personal affinity for the brand that served as the core footing for the collaborative venture.
'They're also subdued in terms of branding, so they can go with everything. If I'm on a small trip, I'll take one pair of Salomons and I know I can go for a hike in the woods or wear them to dinner without anyone looking at me crazy. They're really easily transposable across lots of different outfits, but also understated and chic.'

JJJJound Teases Salomon XT-6 Collaboration
Summary When it comes to footwear collaborations, few can compare toJJJJound, especially when considering quantity and diversity. Adding to its output, JJJJound has just teased a new project withSalomon. It's been over two years since JJJJound first worked with Salomon, presenting a white and blue take on theXT-Wings 2. Now, the duo has reunited for a second project, teasing a collaborative colorway of theXT-6. The model, which dominated for Salomon at the start of the decade, has been prepared in gray, black, and red. Its quicklace system is present and has been placed atop a co-branded tongue. Another nod to JJJJound comes courtesy of the heel, which features the wordmarks of each brand in red. At the time of writing, neither JJJJound nor Salomon have shared when their collaborative take on the XT-6 will be releasing. New Balance Gets "Dirty" on Pre-Distressed 1000

For their interpretation of the trend, New Balance uses one of its retro runners as the canvas and goes for its recognizable silver palette. Reissued in 2024, the latest model draws from the original 1999 design in intricate technical overlays and a prominent Y2K sensibility. Along with mesh uppers and leather overlays, a chunky segmented sole unit boasts ABZORB cushioning. To give the model a used look, dirt-like smears and abrasions are applied throughout the body. A realistic smokey stain appears on the white mesh, while the leather overlays show an aged finish. Elsewhere, dirty midsoles emphasize the sculptural shape of the cushioning, and black outsoles serve as the foundation for black branding on the upper panels.
