Top 10 largest SUVs for 2025 and 2026: Which offers the most room?
With that in mind, we've assembled a list of the largest SUVs on sale today based on overall length.
10. 2025 Cadillac Escalade - 211.9 inches
Boasting a bold exterior design, an opulent cabin and gutsy V-8 power, the Escalade has been a standard-bearer in full-sized luxury SUV segment for decades. An adaptive air suspension also ensures a smooth ride, while Super Cruise continues to be one of the most refined hands-free driving technologies available today.
Cadillac has refreshed this bruiser for 2025, an effort which includes revised front and rear end styling, newly available 24-inch wheels, and a revamped cabin with new materials and a striking 55.0-inch digital display that runs the length of the dashboard. And if you want serious power along with your serious hauling capability, the supercharged Escalade-V offers 668 hp and 653 lb-ft.

9. 2025 Jeep Wagoneer/Grand Wagoneer - 214.7 inches
Jeep's full-sized SUVs offer potent engines, tech-forward cabins and a hushed, compliant ride, but it's the brand's reputation for off-road capability that really sets it apart from the other entries on this list. Sharing the same architecture, the differences between the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer models largely boil down to the features and equipment offered, but even the Wagoneer feels more upscale than many of its similarly-priced rivals. There's also a ton of interior space regardless of which model you choose, and an available panoramic roof makes the cabin feel even airer than it already is.

8. 2025 Ford Expedition MAX - 221.7 inches
Ford's ultimate people mover gets a comprehensive redesign for 2025 that includes a segment-first split gate that ups the ante for tailgating enthusiasts, while a new illuminated grille, larger displays and available 24-inch wheels usher in some additional bling. A Tremor package has also been introduced for 2025 that enhances off-road capability. The package includes an electronic locking differential, a two-speed transfer case and 33-inch all-terrain tires, along with front skid plates and running boards from the F-150 Raptor that complement its model-specific styling accents.

7. 2025 Lincoln Navigator - 221.9 inches
Lincoln's three-row flagship has been given a sleeker, more tech-focused makeover for 2025, and these updates bolster the appeal of an SUV that was already one of our top picks in the segment. Big screens, high-quality materials and posh comfort abound, while an updated exterior design which features a grille-integrated light bar with an animated welcome sequence gives the Escalade a run for its money when it comes to stylish luxury motoring. Available Black Label packages, 24-inch wheel designs, and Lincoln's de-stressing Rejuvenate system add even more swank to the proceedings.

6. 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ - 224.3 inches
The first all-electric Escalade doesn't stray far from the template that its gas-powered counterpart established back in 1999. Handsome styling, a posh cabin and a massive battery that offers big range and fast charging all serve to make this one of the most luxurious vehicles that Cadillac has ever produced. There's also gobs of power on tap, but the Escalade IQ's 4.5-ton curb weight and long braking distances make this SUV more ideally suited for relaxed cruising rather than performance-minded pursuits.

5. 2025 GMC Yukon XL AT4 - 225.2 inches
Not as flashy than an Escalade but more upscale than a Tahoe, the Yukon XL is a three-row SUV for those seeking an elevated sense of luxury without the flamboyance. A refresh for 2025 provides the Yukon with revised exterior styling, updated tech and new trim levels, along with the availability of a more powerful diesel engine. While the interior dimensions are the same, AT4 models are slightly longer than standard Yukon models due to trim-specific equipment.

4. 2025 Chevrolet Suburban - 226.3 inches
Like GM's other full-sized SUVs, the Suburban scores a raft of updates for 2025. For Chevrolet's iconic body-on-frame sport-utility vehicle this equates to a revised suspension system, styling tweaks and a more luxurious cabin that's outfitted with a 17.7-inch infotainment display. A second-generation diesel engine and new 24-inch wheels grace the options sheet, while trim levels include the sporty and stylish RST, the off-road-oriented Z71 and the luxury-focused High Country.

3. 2025 Jeep Wagoneer L/Grand Wagoneer L - 226.7 inches
Much like the relationship between the Chevrolet Yukon and Suburban, the difference between a standard Wagoneer or Grand Wagoneer and their L counterparts largely comes down to the L models' extended wheelbases. These SUVs feature the same luxurious, tech-forward interiors and powerful turbocharged engines, but the L models expand an already spacious cabin to a new level. Although the L models have to lug around additional mass due to their extended proportions, we still managed to hit 60 mph in five seconds flat with Grand Wagoneer L during testing back in 2023. Wagoneer L models score 20-inch wheels, adaptive cruise control and lane keeping assistance as-standard for 2025, while Grand Wagoneer L models see engine output increased to 540 hp and 521 lb-ft of torque and score 22-inch wheels, a front passenger screen and additional safety features become standard equipment this year.

2. 2025 Cadillac Escalade ESV - 227.0 inches
Cadillac's extended wheelbase Escalade takes the standard full-size luxury SUV's already-formidable footprint and expands it by thirteen inches, which in turn yields significantly more interior space for people and cargo. Like the standard wheelbase model, the 2025 Escalade ESV gets revamped styling at the front and rear, a stunning 55.0-inch infotainment display that runs the length of the dashboard, and additional options that include new 24-inch wheel designs, interior themes and paint hues. And also like the standard wheelbase model, the ESV can be had with a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 that dishes out 668hp in Escalade-V ESV guise.

1. 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL - 228.5 Inches
While there's no shortage of big sport-utility vehicles on sale today, the Cadillac Escalade IQL is largest machine out there available based on overall length. As with the standard wheelbase model, the Escalade IQL offers serious curb appeal as well as an opulent interior, big power and impressive range. And thanks to its expanded footprint, the L model offers more than four additional inches of legroom in the third row as well as significantly more cargo space. Super Cruise and a 55-inch, dashboard-spanning display are standard equipment, while GM says that the 750 horsepower on tap is good for a 0-60 mph sprint in a brisk 4.7 seconds.

Another luxury car maker is taken down by US tariffs
Car buyers have benefited from car manufacturers relying on incentives to get customers through the door. Consumer sentiment has fallen, but a sale is a sale, and people are taking advantage. "People are buying cars because they think tariffs are coming," one Mazda dealer said. Related: Investment bank says tariffs are devastating these businesses U.S. companies like Ford are in an especially advantageous position because they (usually) import fewer vehicles than their foreign competitors. Nearly half of American drivers cite car expenses as the reason they can't save any money, and the average American spends about 20% of their monthly income on auto loans, fuel, insurance, and maintenance. Most financial experts cap the monthly income you should spend on a vehicle at 15%. But according to a MarketWatch Guides survey, about 10% of drivers say they spend 30% of their monthly income on driving, while another 12% said they "found themselves living paycheck to paycheck due to the financial strain of their cars." Image source:On Monday, Mercedes-Benz said that in the second quarter, unit sales of cars and vans fell 9%, primarily due to tariffs. The luxury German brand delivered 547,100 cars and fans between April and June. Mercedes' Cars unit reported a 9% decline to 453,700 vehicles sold as support in the U.S and China both dried up. North America deliveries fell 14%, while China deliveries declined 19%. "Deliveries to dealerships were carefully calibrated to navigate new global tariff policies, impacting sales of Mercedes-Benz Cars in the U.S. and China in particular," Mercedes said. Perhaps most concerning was the 18% drop in battery electric sales to 41,900 vehicles. The company seemed relieved about a number that would have been worse without "some de-escalation of tensions between the U.S. and China, some tariff offsets, and timing because tariffs were only ramping up in April." U.S. tariffs forced Mercedes-Benz, and many other automakers both foreign and domestic, to pull their guidance for the year due to lack of visibility. This is a smart move, given President Trump's mercurial decision-making on tariffs. The current pause on non-automotive tariffs is set to end on Wednesday, July 9, but the 25% auto tariffs that have been in place since March never went away. Mercedes operates two manufacturing plants in the U.S., one in Tuscaloosa and the other in Vance, Alabama. The plants produce four of its most popular models, the GLS and GLE SUVs, the GLE Coupe, and the new C-Class. The Tuscaloosa plant was Mercedes' first plant outside of Germany when it was completed in 1995. Today, the 1,000-acre site has over 5 million square feet of manufacturing space, and its facilities employ more than 11,000 Alabamians. Mercedes sold 324,500 passenger cars and 49,600 vans in the U.S. last year, representing 16.4% and 12.2% of sales, respectively. ‘Did I Mention the Motor Blew Up On It?' Woman Buys Brand-New Jeep Wagoneer. Then It Makes This Sound in the Target Parking Lot
A couple demonstrates the issue with their Jeep Wagoneer in a Target parking lot. They say they've been unable to get answers from the automaker or the dealership where they purchased the vehicle. TikTok user Tasha Hill (@tashagodfrey295) posted a video showing their Jeep struggling through a shopping center parking lot on June 24. Hill's husband drives around in slow circles as the Jeep makes an odd stuttering sound. In the caption, Hill wrote that she attempted to address the issue with Dodge, Jeep, Chrysler, and Shottenkirk Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, which is the dealership where they purchased the vehicle. 'This specific problem here has happened numerous times since the beginning, in which I was told that since they couldn't duplicate the problem and I didn't have a record of it, they couldn't fix it or know what the problem was,' she wrote. 'Well, it finally did it to my husband and we have it recorded. Still, lo and behold: No one can do anything about it.' Hill said this happens sporadically as she drives down the road. According to her, Chrysler promised to assign her a case manager, but she hasn't heard from anyone or been able to connect when they call. 'Did I also mention they can't give us the name of the person handling our case nor can we speak to that person??' she wrote. 'That's not suspicious at all.' The Jeep Wagoneer's Mixed Reviews Jeep is one of several auto brands owned by parent company Stellantis. The list also includes Chrysler, Dodge, and Ram. Just four and a half years after it was created through the merger of Groupe PSA and Fiat Chrysler, Stellantis faces a series of issues, and chief among them is customer discontent with its high-end Jeep models. Hill said her Wagoneer is two years old, which would make it a 2023. Back in 2023, we praised the Hurricane 3.0-liter twin-turbo straight-six engine for its "smooth, quiet charm." However, the customer experience was more uneven. Kelley Blue Book reviews of that model year mention electrical, reliability, and depreciation issues. One owner wrote, 'Something new breaks every other week.' In January, the company announced a recall of nearly 80,000 Cherokee and Wagoneer vehicles due to an issue with the rearview camera. Viewers Diagnose the Issue In the comments section, several viewers suggested Hill's issue could be a problem with the Wagoneer's four-wheel drive . 'Same thing happened with my 4x4 Ford Explorer,' wrote one person. 'I had my 4x4 disconnected and it was fine. The computer got stuck in 4x4 and would not release.' A second person agreed, 'Change the fluid in your rear differential. Make sure you use the correct fluid and additive.' Other viewers just expressed relief that the video wasn't about Hill being stalked in the parking lot by an unidentified person. 'Please put a better caption,' someone wrote. 'I thought this guy was circling to get you or something.' Motor1 reached out to Hill via TikTok comment and direct message for comment. Ford Recalls F-150 Lightning Over Brake Defect
Ford has issued a safety recall for five 2025 F-150 Lightning trucks due to a potential brake fluid leak caused by a faulty repair procedure at the final assembly plant. While the number of affected vehicles is small, the consequences of the defect could be serious - including extended stopping distances and increased crash to documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the problem stems from improperly repaired front brake jounce hose bracket screws. These screws may loosen and detach, causing the hose to rub against the tire, eventually leading to a brake fluid leak. The issue was traced back to April 1, 2025, when Ford's offline repair team began using an unapproved process to fix stripped screw holes on certain F-150 Lightnings. That process, which involved securing the brake hose bracket to the frame, failed to meet Ford's internal durability standards. The company halted the procedure on May 5 and began mid-May, Ford had quarantined affected trucks still at the factory and launched a full review. The automaker determined that five trucks had already been shipped to dealers in the U.S. before the problem was identified. None were built in VIN order, meaning customers will need to check with Ford or a local dealer to verify whether their truck is part of the recall. Ford says owners may notice increased brake pedal travel and reduced deceleration. If the brake fluid leak progresses, the red brake warning light will illuminate on the dash. In a worst-case scenario - rapid fluid loss or complete depletion - the vehicle could require significantly more distance to Ford says it is unaware of any accidents, injuries, or warranty claims related to the will be notified by mail starting July 14, with repairs offered free of charge. Dealerships will inspect both front jounce hose brackets and replace the existing screws with a new MR12X40 self-tapping screw (part number W505286-S439) as per Ford's latest technical instructions. Dealers were notified on July 2. While the scope of this recall is tiny compared to others - just five vehicles - Ford's rapid investigation and transparent filing underscore how even minor manufacturing deviations can trigger safety concerns, especially on vehicles with electric powertrains and regenerative braking F-150 Lightning has seen price cuts in the past, along with fresh competition in the full-size electric pickup space. Still, Ford continues refining its approach - and has responded quickly to small production flaws to maintain trust in its EV flagship. Copyright 2025 The Arena Group, Inc. All Rights Reserved.
