Busy Edinburgh pavement taped off as fire crews race to West End incident
Edinburgh fire crews blocked off a West End pavement on Thursday evening amid an emergency incident.
On June 19, firefighters raced to Morrison Street after being made aware of an electrical fire under the pavement.
They were made aware around 6.30pm and are still in attendance. One appliance was sent to the incident.

The pavement has been blocked off to pedestrians while investigations are carried out. In images shared with Edinburgh Live, around four firefighters are pictured at the scene.
One concerned passer-by said: "I walked past around 7.10pm and noticed the area is closed off. I couldn't see what was going on in the building or any flames."

A spokesperson for Scottish Fire and Rescue said: "We were made aware of an electrical fire under the pavement at Morrison Street.
"We are waiting on Scottish power arriving. One appliance is at the scene and we are still in attendance.
"We were made aware at 6.31pm."

Man, 57, dies in early-hours motorway crash
A pedestrian has died following a crash on the M60, police have said. Emergency services were called shortly before 04:00 BST to reports of a collision between junction 21 for Chadderton and Oldham, and the Ashton-under-Lyne turn-off at junction 23. Sadness as body of missing Shildon man Curtis Davies found
A body has sadly been found in the search for missing Shildon man Curtis Davies. Police confirmed specialist search teams found the body, believed to be that of Curtis. Curtis, who worked for Durham police, had been missing since last Sunday (June 22) and his family, friends and colleagues have been informed and are being supported by specialist teams. His death is not being treated as suspicious. A spokesperson from Durham Constabulary said: "We are very sorry to report that a body has been found in the search for Curtis Davies, one of our Durham Constabulary colleagues. "The body was located by specialist search teams in the Shildon area this morning (Sunday, June 29). Man killed and girl seriously injured in crash
A man was killed and a teenage girl seriously injured in a two-car crash near Frisby on the Wreake in Leicestershire, police have said. Leicestershire Police said the crash, involving an orange BMW convertible and a Vauxhall Corsa, happened on the A607 at about 18:13 BST on Friday. The driver of the Corsa, a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene, the force said. The girl, a passenger in his car, was taken to hospital where she remains in a stable condition. Detectives said two men, a 33-year-old and a 25-year-old, were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous and driving while under the influence of alcohol. Both have been released on bail as an investigation continues. Det Sgt Mike Steer, from the force's serious collision investigation unit, said the Corsa was travelling away from Melton Mowbray with the BMW coming from the other direction He said: "We want to speak to anyone who saw this BMW driving in the minutes leading up to the collision. "I also want to make a direct appeal to a HGV driver who we know was in the area when the collision happened. "The dashcam in the vehicle may show exactly what happened."
