Emmerdale Joe Tate's real plan for Moira and secret accomplice revealed

Daily Mirror2 days ago
Emmerdale's latest episode saw Joe Tate's lies to Moira Dingle rumbled by her, leading to her refusing to agree to a deal to seel her fam to Kim Tate despite initial plans
There was quite the discovery about Joe Tate on Emmerdale on Friday, and Moira Dingle wasn't standing for it.

Just this week the character learned from Joe that Kim Tate wanted to buy her farm. Joe claimed Kim had no intention to turn the land into a housing development or anything other than a farm, with a rather good offer on the table for farmer Moira.

Moira has faced losing her beloved home and business ever since the slurry leak months ago. With fines to pay and the farm not doing well at all, Moira has had to consider selling up. Moira already agreed to sell Annie Sugden's land around the farm to Robert Sugden recently after his fake claims of wanting to carry in the family legacy.

Fans know he was actually planning to tell it onto Kim, while that plan fell apart this week with Robert changing his mind. As for the farm, Moira came to the decision to consider Kim's offer which was shared to her by Joe, after another update from the water company brought the news Moira's appeal had been rejected.
With Moira told by Joe she could remain as a tenant but they wanted ownership, she was keen - unaware that Joe was lying and planned to get the family out. While it was only a hint, he suggested a loophole would likely lead to her losing her home.

After Noel from the water board advised Moira that her appeal to get the fines called off had been rejected, she was left believing her only option was to sell. That was until Friday when she found out Joe was in cahoots with someone.
But it's not Kim that Joe is working with to get his hands on the farm, and instead it was none other than Noel. Joe bribed the character to keep up the punishment hoping it would encourage Moira to give in and sell up.
Moira caught them in the act though, hearing them discussing the matter just as she was about to sign over the ownership. Realising she was being duped, she wasted no time in returning the unsigned papers and admitting what she'd found out.

Joe was mortified to realise he'd scuppered up his own dark plans, but soon he was back to threats. Moira stood her ground though, telling him she knew exactly what he was up to and how she wasn't going to let him get away with it so easily.
She told her husband Cain all about it, who called Joe a snake. As Joe showed up at the farm and they continued their showdown, Moira let rip.

Moira said "she'd rather go under than sell to Kim", while Joe told her the offer was still on the table but not for long. Moira was once again left with a decision to make but what will she do?
Unbeknownst to her though Joe was ready with his next move. He told Dawn Taylor that Moira was going to learn that "he gets what he wants" and that he was prepared to do whatever it takes to get it.

EastEnders star confirms different side to Oscar as things take a turn

Oscar Branning (Pierre Moullier) is set to do something 'awful' to Peter Beale (Thomas Law) in EastEnders next week. The newcomer has made quite the impact on Albert Square and viewers alike ever since he arrived in the BBC One soap last week. Sister Lauren (Jacqueline Jossa) was forced to take him in after being released from a three-month stretch in a young offenders institute, where he'd spent time for joyriding. Their mum Tanya (Jo Joyner) had made it clear that he wasn't welcome to return to her house as a result of the dodgy characters he was hanging around with. When Oscar tipped off the police about their involvement in the car robbery, they attempted to petrol bomb his property, mistakenly targeting the neighbours instead. Despite his attempts to escape his brutish mates, they've tracked him down to Walford and are seeking revenge. 'Oscar feels threatened as Mike (Tai Hilferink) is a serious guy who doesn't seem to care about getting caught or the consequences,' actor Pierre told us. 'Since he arrived in the Square, Oscar has been all fun and games, but you'll see another side of him this week because Mike wants to make him suffer for what he's done!' To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video And Pierre's right – next week's episodes see him launch an attack on an apparent intruder, believing it's Mike. Lauren learns that the thug has been threatening Oscar, and has left a knife as a way of threatening him. She reckons that their their uncle Jack (Scott Maslen) should be alerted for protection. 'Oscar believes getting Jack involved will only make things worse because if Mike finds out that there's a policeman in his family, he'll be even more on [his] case,' Pierre explains. 'I think that because Oscar is a smooth talker and he's been getting himself out of tight spots all his life, he believes he can do it again…' Things soon kick off, and Jack's forced to intervene. Lauren gives her brother a final warning, but that night, his paranoia intensifies when he hears a noise coming from the hallway. Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers? Sneaking up on a hooded figure, he goes in to attack – unaware that it's actually Peter Beale (Thomas Law) in his dressing gown. 'It's so awful for Oscar when he realises that he's done this to Peter, who has been kind enough to take him in. More Trending 'Oscar plays lots of games with people, but deep down, he'll do anything for the people he cares for, and Peter has become one of those people, so this is awful.' And, despite Oscar receiving his marching orders, Pierre reckons there could be one saving grace. 'No matter how many times he messes up, Lauren is still there for him and backing him, which really surprises him. Much-loved Emmerdale legend attacked as Joe Tate revenge goes wrong

To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) is desperate to prove to Kim Tate (Claire King) that he can be trusted. This is a big ask, given that only a short while ago in Emmerdale he was planning to drug her to help Crowley (James Hillier) steal all of her money. In coming episodes he's putting plans in motion to get Moira (Natalie J Robb)'s land to help build Kim's empire, but a beloved local resident ends up getting caught in the crossfire. Moira's farm is hanging in the balance after the disaster when slurry was released from the farm and contaminated the lake. Facing a very hefty fine, Moira fears she could lose her business altogether. Joe has been trying to take advantage of this predicament to get her to sign the land over to Kim. Kim herself has gone to Dubai, leaving the deal in Joe's hands and he knows this could be his one big chance to prove that he's someone she can depend on to get the job done. In upcoming episodes he warns Moira that he'll do whatever it takes to get their land, leaving Moira and Cain (Jeff Hordley) fuming. They try to reassure Kyle (Huey Quinn) and Isaac (Bobby Dunsmuir) that they won't lose their home, but secretly they're worried. Later the boys hear a noise in the barn and investigate. They're shocked to see two masked teenagers inside, one of whom is April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan)'s friend Dylan (Fred Kettle). Kyle and Isaac are so shocked and frightened by discovering the masked teens that Kyle arms himself with a pitchfork and accidentally stabs Dylan in the leg before Moira arrives and scares the intruders away. Cain is convinced that Joe has put the teenagers up to this and it's part of his plan to harass them into giving up the land, and he reacts in traditional Cain style by wanting to go out and get instant revenge on Joe. Moira insists that they call the police instead, and PC Swirling (Andy Moore) duly turns up to investigate. He can't find anything to pin the incident on Joe, who naturally denies any involvement. Moira is seething with anger and frustration and goes to hit Joe. Unfortunately her back-hander accidentally catches poor Lydia (Karen Blick) instead. Bless her, missing for months and returns only to get walloped. 'Lydia jumps in front of her and gets punched in the ear which is quite horrific,' Natalie J Robb told us. 'I'm devastated that it's Lydia of all people. This is bound to cause more trouble between the Dingles.' Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers? Who's leaving Coronation Street? Cain is worried that Lydia will press charges and has a word with her – and Sam is upset to think that Cain is issuing threats to Lydia. More Trending 'Sam doesn't like the fact that Lydia was threatened,' Natalie observed. 'I'm saying to Cain, 'You didn't threaten her, did you?' and he's like, 'No, not at all,' but obviously he does and it all comes out. It just makes things worse, so [Sam and Lydia are] not talking to us at the moment.
