Panchayat's Sachiv Ji Or Kota Factory's Jeetu Bhaiya? Jitendra Kumar Says 'My favourite…'
Jitendra Kumar shared which of his characters, Kota Factory's Jeetu Bhaiya or Panchayat's Sachiv ji, fans connect with more today.
Jitendra Kumar has become a rare face in Indian streaming who can claim two cult roles that fans refuse to let go of – Jeetu Bhaiya from Kota Factory and Sachiv ji from Panchayat. And while both characters are much loved by the fans and the meme world, one clearly leads the popularity race.
In a recent chat with IANS, the actor was asked which name fans call out to him more often in public. 'I think Jeetu Bhaiya is a bit more popular, but people often end up mixing the two worlds," Jitendra said.
The Panchayat actor shared a funny example of how fans tend to mash the two characters together in conversation. 'If someone wants to tell me something, they call me Jeetu Bhaiya, but in the same breath, they say, 'will Jeetu Bhaiya be able to move on from Rinki or not?' So, they end up mixing both worlds. I think they have a hangover of both the shows, but 'Jeetu Bhaiya' comes more easily to them compared to Sachiv ji," he added.
As for his personal pick between the two roles, Jitendra found it tough to choose. 'It is very difficult to choose as both these characters are very different from one another, but given that Panchayat season 4 has just released, it is my favourite at the moment."
As Jeetu Bhaiya in Kota Factory, Jitendra Kumar plays a calm, mentor-like teacher who has become a cultural icon among students and aspirants. He plays a compassionate physics teacher who becomes a mentor figure to IIT aspirants — firm, empathetic and deeply relatable, especially to students facing academic pressure. In Panchayat, he shines as Abhishek Tripathi or Sachiv Ji, the sincere village secretary, where his understated performance and slow-burn chemistry with Sanvikaa (who plays Rinki) have struck a chord with audiences. Their on-screen bond, subtle yet engaging, adds charm to the show's emotional core.
During an appearance on The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix, host Kapil Sharma couldn't resist teasing Jitendra about his popularity among female fans, asking if girls now call him 'Jeetu Bhaiya' when asking for selfies. To that, Jitendra joked, 'Main mana kar deta hoon. Bhaiya bologe toh selfie nahi milegi (I say no. If you call me brother, you won't get a selfie)."
Meanwhile, Panchayat Season 4 has turned out to be a big hit on OTT and Panchayat Season 5 is already in the works.

Last Updated: Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi's Jolly LLB 3 teaser will reportedly release with War 2, ahead of the film's September 2025 theatrical debut. Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi are all set to return as rival lawyers in Jolly LLB 3, one of the most awaited courtroom comedies of 2025. And if reports are to be believed, the first teaser of the film will arrive in a grand fashion — attached to none other than War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR. According to a report by Pinkvilla, the teaser of Jolly LLB 3 is being prepared to capitalise on the buzz around War 2, which is scheduled to hit theatres in August. A source revealed, 'Jolly LLB 3 team is working on a teaser trailer of this courtroom comedy, that announces the arrival of two Jollys to create chaos in each other's life like never before. The idea is to launch it around August 10, and then send the teaser cut to cinema halls all across to be screened with War 2." The courtroom drama is slated for a theatrical release on September 19, 2025. It will mark Akshay Kumar's fourth and final release of the year. The film reunites him with Arshad Warsi after Bachchhan Paandey and Jolly LLB 2 (where Arshad appeared in a cameo), making fans all the more eager to see their on-screen rivalry unfold in full swing. The source further added that the marketing team is aiming for a massive campaign. 'Cross film promotion is the best and most effective medium of marketing. The team of Jolly is well aware of the pre-release expectations, and this will be among the best-promoted films of AK. The entire asset campaign is planned in advance — from teaser to songs and a trailer. In fact, the team is presently shooting for a promotional song in Mumbai with the two Jollys," the insider added. Directed by Subhash Kapoor, Jolly LLB 3 also features franchise regulars like Saurabh Shukla, along with Huma Qureshi and Amrita Rao in pivotal roles.
