In a video posted to his social media accounts on Monday, Drew McIntyre revealed that he was denied boarding for his flight back to the United States. He explained that he did not have his U.S. passport with him, only his UK one.
"He then accused Jelly Roll of having connections, causing him to be unable to leave the UK, which screws up his training for SummerSlam," McIntyre said in his in-character promo. He finished by threatening his opponent, showing a picture of a cow to represent what he plans to do to Jelly Roll.
Fightful's report confirmed this is an "actual situation as opposed to a gimmick." While WWE sources are confident the issue will be rectified, it is an unexpected headache for one of their top stars days before a major event.
