The 'Singham Again' actor's post comes shortly after Prada sparked controversy by showcasing footwear that bore a striking resemblance to traditional Kolhapuri chappals, without acknowledging their Indian roots. The footwear was simply called leather sandals..The Kolhapuri Chappal holds deep cultural significance, forms an essential part of India's heritage, and is named after the district of Kolhapur, where it is primarily produced. In response to the move by Prada, a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) has been filed in the Bombay High Court, demanding compensation for Kolhapuri chappal artisans, whose work the plea claims has been copied without acknowledgment. The plea was filed by a group of advocates from Mumbai and Pune who work in the field of intellectual property rights. The plea, led by Advocate Ganesh S Hingmire, also seeks a direction to Prada Group and Prada India Fashion Private Limited to issue a public apology, acknowledging the unauthorised use of the "Kolhapuri Chappal" GI product, and to commit that no unauthorised use of GIs will occur in the future. It further demands that the rights of the Indian artisan community be expressly recognised. The plea also seeks compensation for the artisan community for reputational and economic damage. The PIL filed in the High Court seeks directions and appropriate reliefs, including an injunction and damages/compensation for the unauthorised commercialisation of a GI-tagged product. The petition claims that this commercialisation has caused significant harm to the community traditionally associated with the product, particularly in the state of Maharashtra.- EndsMust Watch

Sudhanshu Pandey reveals a special gift given from Anupamaa's on-screen father Arvind Vaidya

Anupamaa actor Sudhanshu Pandey , known for playing the layered and intense character of Vanraj Shah, recently opened up his beautifully designed home in an interview with Mashable India. His space reflects his personality—calm, rooted, and spiritually inclined. Among the many highlights of his serene home is a unique Mahadev-themed art piece that holds deep emotional value for him. The actor revealed that the centerpiece was a heartfelt gift from his Anupamaa co-star Arvind Vaidya , who plays Vanraj's on-screen father, Bapuji. 'This art piece was given to me by my Bapuji. He played my father in Anupamaa. Aunty and he gifted me this,' Sudhanshu shared with pride and affection. The Mahadev fountain, with its continuous flow of water, has a special mechanism that mimics an abhishek. 'The best part is that 24x7 abhishek hoti rehti hai, constantly water is flowing. It's a fountain type mechanism. It is a very positive thing,' he explained, adding how the sacred corner in his house brings him peace and a sense of grounding. A vastu specialist also painted a special wall hanging near the corner to enhance the space's spiritual energy. Beyond his spiritual side, Sudhanshu Pandey's career is as layered as the characters he plays. He started as a model and was also a member of the first Indian boy band A Band of Boys. He later transitioned to acting and made his mark in Bollywood with films like Khiladi 420, Singh Is Kinng, and Dus Kahaniyaan. However, it was his role as Vanraj in Anupamaa that brought him massive fame and critical acclaim, establishing him as one of Indian television's most compelling male leads. From music to movies to prime-time television, Sudhanshu Pandey continues to inspire with both his craft and personal grace. He was last seen in web reality show called Traitors.

F1 Day 11 India Box Office: Brad Pitt starrer establishes firm grip on 2nd Monday; Adds a spectacular Rs 2.40 crore net

F1, directed by Joseph Kosinski and starring Brad Pitt, Kerry Condon, Damson Idris, Javier Bardem and others, added another Rs 2.25 - 2.50 crore net at the Indian box office on day 11. With this, the collections of F1 -The Movie stand at around Rs 51.90 crore net, a number that no one would have even imagined. The film is on course for a Rs 70 crore plus net lifetime total. It can do more and these are just conservative estimates. The India Net Collections Of F1 Are As Under F1 Collects Rs 2.40 Crore Net On 2nd Monday; To Lose IMAX Screens To Superman The Coming Friday F1 loses IMAX screens to Superman this Friday. Superman will keep the IMAX screens to itself for a good couple of weeks. That's the reason the lifetime India net estimates are at a conservative Rs 70 crore. If not for the stacked IMAX scheduling, F1 could keep getting audiences for weeks. Now, the week 3 and week 4 performance of F1 in India will be interesting to observe, when all it has is standard screens and other premium screens apart from IMAX to generate business from. Even in the standard screens, it will have to compete with a bunch of different holdover as well as new releases. F1's Word Of Mouth Is Incredibly Strong, As Suggested By The Minimal Drop In Collections Every Day Coming back to F1's 2nd Monday collections, even if the movie collected Rs 2.40 crore on its opening day, it would be considered as a good result. For it to do this on day 11, speaks volumes of the strong word of mouth that it is enjoying. It is far from exhausting its audience, yet. Brad Pitt, after a turbulent recent run at the movies, is back with a bang. F1 Is Projected To End Its Run In The USD 500 Million Vicinity F1 is projected to gross USD 500 million worldwide in its lifetime. It crossed USD 300 million globally on 2nd Monday and there's no fatigue to be seen. The competition with Jurassic World: Rebirth resulted in division of screens and interest, but the occupancies are still at an astoundingly high level. F1 In Theatres F1 plays in theatres now. Stay tuned to Pinkvilla for more box office updates on F1.

Rashmika Mandanna Says She's Open To Long Shoot Hours Amid Deepika Padukone's Spirit Row: 'Personal Choice'

Last Updated: Rashmika Mandanna reacts to ongoing debate on working hours amid Deepika Padukone's exit from Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Spirit. The conversation around long working hours in the Indian film industry continues to grow louder—and actor Rashmika Mandanna is the latest star to weigh in. Her comments come amid a wave of reactions following reports of Deepika Padukone's alleged fallout with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga over fixed work schedules on the now-shelved Spirit. Addressing the controversy, Mandanna spoke about the importance of clear communication before signing on to a film, during an interview with Mojo Story. 'Today the whole country is debating about flexible hours, but that is for discussion amongst the teams and figuring out what works for them. It's their personal choices," she said, stressing that mutual understanding within the team is key. The Animal actor also reflected on her cross-industry experience, pointing out how shooting schedules differ across regions. 'I do work in multiple industries, like the South – Telugu, Kannada, or Tamil, where we work 9 am to 6 pm. In Hindi, it's a 9 am to 9 pm shift. I am open to both because this is what my film requires," she shared. But she didn't shy away from addressing the more extreme side of filming schedules. 'Some films you can start 9 am to 9 pm, but they carry on till the next day, so you're working like 36 hours. There are much worse scenarios happening where you are working 2-3 days without going home," Mandanna revealed. Deepika Padukone-Sandeep Reddy Vanga Spirit Controversy The issue was recently brought to the forefront after reports surfaced that Deepika Padukone opted out of Spirit due to disagreements over her request for fixed hours. Deepika, a new mother, is reportedly seeking to balance her work and personal life by reducing her working hours. This decision led to her exit from the film, which would have been her second collaboration with Prabhas after their recent project, Kalki 2898 AD. The situation sparked industry-wide discussions about actor welfare and reasonable work conditions. Following Deepika's exit, Triptii Dimri was confirmed to play a part in the film. Mandanna, who worked with Vanga on the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Animal, acknowledged the broader need for realistic expectations, especially in high-pressure shoots. Rashmika Mandanna was most recently seen in Kuberaa, which released on June 20. First Published:
