WWE Superstar Addresses Fan Concern Amid Hiatus

WWE superstar Tyler Bate has broken his silence on his ongoing absence from television. The former NXT United Kingdom Champion clarified his status in a recent social media post, confirming he is not injured.
Bate, along with his New Catch Republic tag team partner Pete Dunne, has not been seen on WWE programming since late May.
This led to reports that both men were on the shelf with injuries, but Bate's update paints a different picture.

In a post on his Instagram account, Tyler Bate shared a new image of himself with a short but very telling caption. His two-word message has clarified his physical health while raising new questions about his creative direction.
Bate wrote, "Not injured. Waiting..."
This statement directly contradicts a recent report from the Wrestling Observer that claimed both Bate and Dunne were sidelined with injuries.
While Pete Dunne's status remains unconfirmed, Bate has made it clear that his own absence is not due to a physical issue. This suggests that WWE creative currently does not have a storyline for him.
A Frustrating Pattern
This is a particularly frustrating development for the "Big Strong Boy," who has had a stop-and-start career on the main roster. He previously missed nine months of action from mid-2024 to early 2025 with a torn pectoral muscle. He returned in March of this year to reunite with his longtime rival and partner, Pete Dunne.
The duo, known as New Catch Republic, was seen as a promising addition to the tag team division due to their history and acclaimed in-ring chemistry.
However, since reuniting, they have been used sparingly, with their last match being a victory over A-Town Down Under on the May 26th edition of Main Event.

A Storied Champion
Tyler Bate is one of the most accomplished young talents in WWE. In 2017, at just 19 years old, he made history by winning a tournament to become the first-ever WWE United Kingdom Champion. His subsequent matches against Pete Dunne for that title are considered some of the best in the history of the NXT UK brand.
Bate is also a former NXT Tag Team Champion and NXT UK Heritage Cup Champion. Despite this impressive resume, he has yet to be featured in a significant, long-term storyline on the main roster. His recent post suggests that the wait will continue for the foreseeable future.

Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson's loved ones aren't spilling on their relationship, but they are supportive
People in entertainmentFacebookTweetLink Follow 'Naked Gun' costars Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson are coy when asked if they are romantically involved, but we do know how some of their friends and family feel about their closeness. Bravo executive and talk show host Andy Cohen - who was a good friend of Neeson's late wife, actress Natasha Richardson - was among the first people to provide insight, saying during a recent episode of his SiriusXM show that he and others who were close to Richards were 'very much stanning whatever this is' between Neeson and Anderson. Others appear to also be showing support. Richardson died in a skiing accident in 2009. She was 45. Over the weekend her sister, actress Joely Richardson, commented with seven hearts from her verified Instagram account on a carousel of photos of Anderson and Neeson, which Anderson posted on her verified Instagram account. Anderson and Neeson appeared on Sunday's episode of 'Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen' and Cohen let it be known that he would not be asking about the nature of their relationship. But the host did reiterate that Neeson's friends are 'very much stanning this relationship' and referenced the actor's adult son, Daniel Neeson, who was in the studio audience. 'Right, Danny?,' Cohen said to the younger Neeson, who smiled and appeared to agree. Liam Neeson reached out and held Anderson's hand after Cohen made the comment. Speculation about their relationship swirled as the pair began promoting their new film, now in theaters, with onlookers noting their chemistry on and off screen. Neeson first fanned the flames when he told People magazine in an interview last year that he is 'madly in love with' Anderson, going on to compliment her work ethic.

Music Legend, 80, Divides Fans With Bold Tribute to Ozzy Osbourne — 'Terrible and Corny'
Music Legend, 80, Divides Fans With Bold Tribute to Ozzy Osbourne — 'Terrible and Corny' originally appeared on Parade. Rod Stewart paid tribute to the late during his One Last Time tour — but his gesture has sparked mixed reactions from fans. The 80-year-old music icon dedicated a portion of his show to honor the legendary Black Sabbath frontman following his recent tragic passing. What started as a touching memorial has some fans calling it "terrible and corny," while others defend Stewart's approach to honoring his friend. The controversy began when Stewart dedicated his classic hit "Forever Young" to Osbourne following his death on July 22. Initially, the tribute featured projections of Osbourne during the emotional ballad. However, everything reportedly changed during Stewart's concert at the Ameris Bank Amphitheater outside Atlanta on Friday, August 1. According to NME, while the performance began with standard photos of Osbourne, the visuals quickly evolved into AI-generated images. These artificial photos appeared showing Osbourne alongside deceased music legends Prince, Tina Turner, Bob Marley, Freddie Mercury, , George Michael and Amy Winehouse, all positioned against cloudy backdrops suggesting a heavenly reunion. Concertgoers took to social media to share their responses, with many questioning Stewart's decision to use artificial intelligence for such a personal tribute. One fan wrote under a video of the performance, "Good idea: pay tribute to Ozzy and his friends in heaven. Bad Idea: Making an AI-generated video with his dead friends/members." The criticism didn't stop there. Another viewer bluntly stated, "AI content is NOT a good thing," and another added, "It's terrible and corny.' However, not everyone condemned Stewart's creative choice. Some fans offered a different perspective, suggesting the tribute represented the singer's personal way of processing grief. "If this is Rod's way of showing respect to those people that passed away that's his way. Everyone is gonna show respect their own way everyone is different everyone isn't gonna do it the same way," one supporter wrote. After Osbourne's death was announced, Stewart posted on Instagram to pay his respects. "Bye, bye Ozzy. I'll see you up there— later rather than sooner," he captioned the photo. As Stewart's One Last Time tour continues across the United States through early October before heading to Europe, fans remain divided on his tribute choice. The singer has yet to address the controversy surrounding the AI-generated visuals, leaving audiences to speculate whether he'll modify the tribute or continue with his current version. In a new interview, she also hinted at a sinister plan for her new tag team partner, Charlotte Flair. Bliss and Flair, the "Allies of Convenience," captured the titles on Night One of SummerSlam, defeating Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez. Now, Bliss's comments suggest their championship reign could be headed down a very strange and twisted path. A Return To The Dark Side For Alexa Bliss? Speaking to Sports Illustrated ahead of SummerSlam, Bliss was asked about revisiting the supernatural character she portrayed while aligned with "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt. She confirmed she is completely open to it. "A hundred percent," Bliss said. "One thing I've always said about my character is that it's always evolving." A Sinister Plan For Charlotte Flair The most intriguing part of her comments came when she discussed her current partnership with Flair. She hinted that she may have found a replacement for her demonic doll, Lilly. LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - OCTOBER 11: A WWE logo is shown on a screen before a WWE news conference at T-Mobile Arena on October 11, 2019 in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was announced that WWE wrestler Braun Strowman will face heavyweight boxer Tyson Fury and WWE champion Brock Lesnar will take on former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez at the WWE's Crown Jewel event at Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on October 31. More "Who knows, maybe Charlotte will become the next Lilly," Bliss stated. This is an ominous comment given the history between the two superstars. It suggests that Bliss may be looking to corrupt her new partner and draw her into the darkness. More news: WWE Superstar Announces Retirement Match A History Of Destruction From Alexa Bliss The original Lilly doll was a central part of Alexa Bliss's supernatural persona from 2020 to 2021. Bliss claimed the doll was the source of her power. Their bond came to a dramatic end at the Extreme Rules event in September 2021. After defeating Bliss in a championship match, Charlotte Flair brutally and methodically ripped the Lilly doll to shreds in the middle of the ring, leaving a distraught Bliss wailing over the remains. This moment was the storyline reason for Bliss's character being "reset" and losing her supernatural abilities. Her new comment makes it clear she has not forgotten what Flair did, adding a deeply personal and sinister layer to their current tag team. While Bliss is having "a lot of fun tagging with Charlotte," her underlying motives are now in question. She also noted that a future interaction with the Wyatt Sicks will "probably" happen, keeping fans guessing about her ultimate allegiance. More WWE News: For more on WWE, head to Newsweek Sports.
