Ed Sheeran announces new tour but leaves fans fuming with 'crazy' decision

Daily Mirror22-07-2025
Ed Sheeran may still be touring but the hit singer has announced yet another tour ready for next year. However, his decision hasn't left all his fans happy.
After announcing he will be performing his Loop Tour in 2026, Ed announced the opening dates - and there were none in the UK. Instead, he revealed dates in Australia and New Zealand between January and March.
The Shape of You singer, 33, took to Instagram to make the announcement. Sharing an image of him holding up his guitar in front of his adoring fans, as well as a tour poster, Ed wrote: "Starting a brand new tour next year called the LOOP tour.
"New stage, new tricks, new set up, new songs and all the classics added in. We kick it off in Australia and New Zealand in Jan, Feb, March 2026, which is always the best time, I can't wait to be back. Tickets on sale Tues 29th July, see you all there x"
While fans fully expect to see the tour in their own country, the decision to only announce Australia and New Zealand seemed to bother some users.
While there were no UK dates, his US fans weren't best pleased, either. One user commented: "COME BACK TO THE US NOWWWWWW." Another agreed as they pleaded: "Pls announce USA dates soon."
One user also said: "So crazy that you kinda stay on tour! Really thought you'd go on a break haha but so excited omgggg see you in 2027 then hopefully."

Love Island's Olivia Bowen thanks 'village' of support as she gives pregnancy update

Love Island's Olivia Bowen thanks 'village' of support as she gives pregnancy update Olivia Bowen has opened up about the pregnancy with her second child, a baby girl, after a challenging few months Olivia's uplifting post arrives after she grappled with Vanishing Twin Syndrome (VTS) (Image: Kate Green, Getty Images) Olivia Bowen has shared a heartwarming pregnancy update with fans, following her heartbreaking experience with Vanishing Twin Syndrome (VTS). The former Love Islander, 31, revealed that preparations for her baby daughter are now 'really coming together' and expressed gratitude to those who have stood by her during challenging times. ‌ Olivia and husband Alex, who are already parents of Abel Jacob, are expecting their second child this summer. Taking to Instagram yesterday, the star from Chelmsford wrote: "The prep for Baby Girl is really coming together… the nursery's done, her little clothes are washed and folded, and we've got her bottles ready to go thanks to @philipsavent. ‌ "It brings back so many memories of when our village helped feed Abe... those quiet, lovely moments where family could bond with him, and I could have a much-needed breather too. It was never just about the feeds, it was about feeling supported, surrounded, and lifted up. ‌ "This time around, I know our people will be just as amazing. I can already picture Daddy giving Baby Girl her first bottle (while I sneak off for that much-needed nap). He's the one who keeps us going, always showing up with a cup of tea, a kind word, or a belly laugh with Abel. It really does take a village, and I'm so grateful for mine." Content cannot be displayed without consent Olivia's positive update comes after she endured Vanishing Twin Syndrome (VTS) during the early stages of her pregnancy. This tragic condition occurs when one twin in a multiple pregnancy vanishes, leaving behind just one embryo. It is a form of miscarriage occurring in approximately 36 per cent of twin pregnancies, where the affected foetus is absorbed either by the surviving twin or by the mother's body. ‌ Earlier this year, Olivia expressed that she'd experienced the 'most complicated batch of emotions' she'd ever known during the pregnancy. "I have battled with depression and anxiety for most of my teen years onwards, and when I felt its ugly head rising stronger than I'd ever felt when I was pregnant with Abel, I was absolutely terrified," she wrote in a separate Instagram post. "I felt like that darkness was taking over and pulling me down with both paws. I felt it again after giving birth, have felt it intermittently throughout motherhood. It's not just the hormones, it's the whole expectation, the change, and the world feeling different to what you have experienced your whole life. "Then fast forward to this year, losing one of our precious babies to Vanishing Twin Syndrome and going through the most complicated batch of emotions I've ever felt." ‌ Olivia and Alex Bowen are expecting their second child this summer (Image: PA) Despite the difficulties she'd encountered, Olivia has been completely overwhelmed by the reaction from other women who have wrestled with comparable experiences. "Never be ashamed of your emotions. It is the most incredible thing about you - being able to feel so deeply," she continued. ‌ "It is so scary to be so vulnerable, isn't it? This is a crazy ride and sometimes it's beautiful and rewarding and sometimes it's cruel and confusing. I'm here for you all. Please look after the women and mothers in your life." Though Olivia experienced no VTS symptoms, the Cleveland Clinic suggests that light bleeding, cramps, and pain in the back and pelvis could be warning signs. The condition typically stems from DNA abnormalities in one twin that hinder its development. Unfortunately, these problems are usually present from conception and cannot be altered or controlled. "If the embryo disappears in the first trimester, neither you nor your surviving foetus will likely experience any complications," the clinic explains. "Your pregnancy will continue as usual... It's possible to be pregnant with multiples and to miscarry one or more of the embryos before your first pregnancy ultrasound. Shirlie Kemp says Martin is 'gone for hours' as pair make 'exhausting' change Martin and Shirlie Kemp have been keeping fans up to date with the major changes they've made to their Hertfordshire home in recent years, on Instagram Martin and Shirlie Kemp have been keeping fans up to date with their progress Shirlie Kemp has opened up about an "exhausting" chapter in her home life with husband Martin Kemp. A few years back, the couple moved into a new home in Hertfordshire, and have since been renovating their garden. ‌ The pair regularly provide updates about their progress on an Instagram page dedicated to their renovation, which has gained 185,000 followers. ‌ During a chat with BBC Radio 2's Scott Mills on Monday morning, Shirlie admitted working on their home had come with "blood, sweat and tears". ‌ "I work hard on it, I mean, it's exhausting," the 63-year-old shared. "I am up very, very, early what with this hot weather and the drought, and having to keep everything alive." Shirlie was speaking alongside her bandmate Helen 'Pepsi' DeMacqu, who is currently living with the Kemps. ‌ Shirlie Kemp said renovating their garden had come with 'blood, sweat and tears' Since staying with the couple, the singer said "it's been lovely" witnessing the pair's progress. "I open the window and there's Martin with the hose, hosing the grass and there's Shirlie in the background in her little area," Pepsi shared. ‌ "It's idyllic and it's what they've created, it's gorgeous, there was nothing there. What they've put there is...", she continued to say before Shirlie chimed in: "Blood, sweat and tears." Quizzed on how much involvement Martin, 63, has with the garden, Shirlie said he spends "an awful lot" of time out there. "He'll be gone for hours and hours, yeah he loves it," she told Scott. ‌ Last year, Martin said he had a newfound love for gardening after previously finding it "a chore". Speaking to County Living Magazine, the ex EastEnders star shared: "Pruning that tree or raking those leaves is like a meditation. Martin Kemp said gardening is 'all he thinks about' (Image: INSTAGRAM/MAISONNUMBER9) ‌ 'It's all I think about. I head out in the morning and, the next thing I know, I'm getting called in for dinner.' Martin went on to say he has taken some inspiration from Gardeners' World for their outdoor space, and has been learning the do's and don'ts along the way. In their latest update on Instagram, the couple posted a picture of the vegetables they had grown in the garden. ‌ Alongside a snap of the likes of tomatoes, carrots and courgettes, they wrote: "It's been great to have the space to grow veg this year and so lovely to be able to walk-in to the garden and pick it all. "We have learnt a lot, especially what not to do, it was our first proper veggie patch so we were very excited to make sure it was abundant with veg. "But in our excitement we over planted and didn't create enough space between each veg, but it looked stunning especially the kale & cabbages with their gigantic, jungle like leaves. Irvine Welsh, Fringe by the Sea, North Berwick review: 'a sweary lovefest'

Readers and moviegoers familiar with the drugged up ne'er-do-wells of Irvine Welsh's Trainspotting will know he has brought them back to life in Men in Love, the literary sequel (another one) to his thumping 1993 debut. Irvine Welsh Readers love these lads, Welsh told his crowd in North Berwick, because they're archetypes: the cynical intellectual, the 'manipulative fanny merchant'; the loveable loser; and the short-fused psycho. "It's nice to read about people who're more f***ed up than you,' he reckoned. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad This event was the kind of sweary lovefest you get when a 66-year-old bad-boy author appears before a 1,500-strong Fringe audience old enough to recall the Stranglers when all band members were still alive. Ostensibly a discussion about music and films, Irvine drew sighs of delight from the Big Top audience when he revealed that watching White Christmas every year was his guilty pleasure. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad 'I always greet my eyes out when Big Crosby gets back together with Rosemary Clooney,' he confessed. 'I get very sentimental (over) emotional love scenes. Anything violent I just laugh my head off.' Less surprising, perhaps, was the scale of the bender he went on after his beloved Hibs won the Scottish FA Cup. 'It's probably lasted until about now,' he confessed. Nine years then. His bugbear is social media where 'everybody is like a mentally ill, Nazi, incel nonce.' Welsh said people were in thrall to their small screens, and their obsession inevitably hands power to the 'tech bros' and the corporations who 'tell us what to do.'
