Where to Watch ‘Drop': Is Christopher Landon's New Movie Streaming?
But such is the case for Meghann Fahy in the new movie 'Drop.' In it, she plays a single mom headed out on her first date in years. While there, she begins receiving mysterious messages from an unknown numbers, escalating in how menacing they are.
Filmmaker Christopher Landon is the writer-director of the film, following 'We Have a Ghost' and hits like 'Freaky,' 'Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones' and the 'Happy Death Day' films.
Here's what you need to know.
'Drop' released nationwide on Friday, April 11, 2025.
It is not. For now, you can only catch 'Drop' in theaters. It is a Universal film though, meaning it'll most likely head to Peacock when it comes time for its streaming release. We'll keep you posted on when that'll be. For now, you can find tickets here.
Like we mentioned, 'Drop' really shows the first date from hell. While out for dinner with a very charming man (Brandon Sklenar), Violet (Fahy) starts receiving instructions to kill him, or else her son at home with a babysitter will be murdered.
She's not allowed to be caught, nor is she allowed to tip anyone off in an effort to get help. What follows is a truly terrible evening, in which Violet tries to ensure everyone gets out alive.
Violett Beane, Jacob Robinson and Ed Weeks star in the film alongside Fahy and Sklenar.

Grimm Reboot: Elizabeth Tulloch Offers ‘Exciting' Update on Potential Peacock Series — Would She Return?
It's been seven months since news first broke of a Grimm reboot being developed at Peacock, and we've been practically woging with anticipation ever since. So when TVLine recently connected with original series star Elizabeth Tulloch, we couldn't resist asking for an update, and the woman formerly known as Juliette (or Eve, depending on the day) was happy to oblige. More from TVLine Suzanne Rogers Exiting Days of Our Lives...?! Rep Addresses Wild Rumor Peyton Meyer Exits Days of Our Lives: Did Doug Williams Redeem Himself Before Leaving Salem? Days of Our Lives Snags Two-Season Renewal at Peacock, Keeping It Streaming Through 2028 'I know there's a script being written, and I know that David [Giuntoli] met with them,' Tulloch tells us. 'I don't think they would do a reboot or a spinoff or whatever it's going to be without David's involvement.' Grimm originally aired for six seasons (2011–2017) on NBC, starring Giuntoli as Nick Burkhardt, a detective who descends from a long line of Grimms — aka slayers of fairytale monsters known as Wesen. 'It's pretty exciting,' Tulloch says of the show's still-growing fanbase, which she attributes to the show's multiple streaming homes. 'A lot of people are sort of finding Grimm. We did 123 episodes, and it has like 90% on Rotten Tomatoes still.' As for whether Tulloch would like to reprise one or both of her roles in a potential continuation of Grimm… you'll have to watch the interview: In addition to Giuntoli and Tulloch, Grimm also starred Claire Coffee, Russell Hornsby, Silas Weir Mitchell, Bree Turner, Reggie Lee, Sasha Roiz and Jacqueline Toboni. The series was created by David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf, who also served as co-showrunners. Both are reportedly involved in Peacock's potential reboot, along with original series producers Lynn Kouf, Hazy Mills Productions and Universal Television. Josh Berman (Drop Dead Diva, CSI, The Blacklist) is writing and executive-producing the new series. At the time of the original report, a rep for Peacock told TVLine that it had no additional information to share. Hit PLAY on the video above to watch TVLine's interview with Tulloch, then drop a comment with your dream project below. Are you hoping for a direct continuation in which Nick passes the torch to a new Grimm? Or perhaps you'd rather get a spinoff following specific characters? 'Jurassic World Rebirth' releases on digital this week: Where to watch
It's dinos vs. humans once again with the release of "Jurassic World Rebirth," the seventh film in the popular franchise. In the five years after the events of "Jurassic World Dominion," the planet's ecology has proven largely inhospitable to dinosaurs and those remaining only exist in "isolated equatorial environments with climates resembling the one in which they once thrived," the film's synopsis says. "The three most colossal creatures across land, sea and air within that tropical biosphere hold, in their DNA, the key to a drug that will bring miraculous life-saving benefits to humankind," it adds. Zora Bennett (Scarlet Johansson) is tasked to lead a skilled team on a top-secret mission to secure the genetic material. Stream Jurassic World Rebirth USA TODAY's Brian Truitt gave the film ★★½ out of four, writing "director Gareth Edwards at least tries something different by throwing a heist movie into the usual perilous adventure." "But homages to Steven Spielberg's 1993 original, a starry cast (including Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey and Oscar winner Mahershala Ali) and dinos aplenty can only do so much when saddled with generic characters and a rickety plot," Truitt says, adding "this franchise probably should have been extinct a while ago. We're stuck with it, though, so might as well go with the pterosaur flow." Here is what to know about the digital release for "Jurassic World Rebirth," and when it will be available to stream. 'Jurassic World Rebirth' movie review: Dinos still rule over rickety plot When will 'Jurassic World Rebirth' be released digitally? The studio, in a news release, said the digital and Blu-ray version of the movie will offer exclusive bonus features, such as "never-before-seen deleted scenes with extra dinosaur mayhem, an alternate opening, a long-form making-of documentary detailing the film's jaw-dropping visuals, sound design," as well as a gag reel among other things. Universal Pictures' films typically release on Peacock a few months after their theatrical release, which means "Jurassic World Rebirth" could drop on the streaming platform sometime in late October or early November. However, neither the studio nor the streaming platform has made an official announcement regarding the film's streaming release. The six previous "Jurassic" movies are all streaming on Peacock. "Jurassic Park," "The Lost World: Jurassic Park" and "Jurassic Park III" were also available to stream on Netflix at the time of publish. ‘Jurassic World Rebirth' Chomps Its Way Home This Week
The best thing about Jurassic World Rebirth is it sent the franchise back to basics. Figure out a story that necessitates a few characters ending up on an island populated by deadly dinosaurs and see what happens next. It's a formula that's worked in the past and worked again here, to the tune of well over $750 million and counting worldwide. However, if you missed the adventure in theaters or want to experience it again, you can do so at home this week. Universal just announced that Jurassic World Rebirth, directed by Gareth Edwards and starring Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, and Mahershala Ali, will be available to rent and own digitally starting Tuesday, August 5. That'll be followed by 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD releases on September 9. As one would expect from a major blockbuster like this, the filmmakers have pulled out all the stops in terms of special features. There's an alternate opening and two deleted scenes, both of which focus on dinosaurs (which is what we want to see, right? Not just actors chatting) an extended behind-the-scenes documentary, gag reel, two feature-length commentaries, and much more. Here's the rundown. Alternate Opening Deleted Scene: RAPTORS – Featuring Mahershala Ali, Jonathan Bailey, Rupert Friend, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, David Iacono, Luna Blaise, and Audrina Miranda Deleted Scene: MUTADON ATTACK – Featuring Scarlett Johansson, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, David Iacono, Rupert Friend, Luna Blaise, and Audrina Miranda Jurassic World Rebirth: Hatching a New Era Gag Reel Meet Dolores – Meet the animatronic Aquilops with an extraordinarily lifelike personality. Munched: Becoming Dino Food – Get a victim's firsthand view inside the frightening jaws of deadly dinosaurs that munch, chomp, and chew their way into creating unforgettable death sequences. A Day at Skywalker Sound – Actress Audrina Miranda guides a personal tour of Skywalker Sound in California to meet the audio editors, foley artists, and mixers who design the movie's wide array of sounds. Hunting for Easter Eggs – Find out where to look for cleverly hidden Easter eggs that pay homage to everything from the first Jurassic Park film to other Steven Spielberg classics. Feature Commentary #1 – Director Gareth Edwards, production designer James Clyne, first assistant Director Jack Ravenscroft Feature Commentary #2 – Director Gareth Edwards, editor Jabez Olssen, visual effects supervisor David Vickery A pretty solid selection of features to go along with the movie itself.
