Emmerdale: Robert and Aaron make amends, Steph exit sealed and Charity's heartache

Daily Mirror6 days ago
Emmerdale spoilers for next week teased Robron could get closer, Vanity also share scenes as Charity Dingle faces 'disaster' and Steph Miligan's exit is teased on the ITV soap
There's big moments ahead on Emmerdale next week, and some spoilers fans will be excited about.

Robron fans will see former couple Robert Sugden and Aaron Dingle grow closer again as they clear the air after past turmoil. Vanity fans will see more scenes for Charity Dingle and her ex Vanessa Woodfield, as the former confides in her friend as "disaster" strikes.

There's concern amid a surrogacy plot, while a teen is clearly hiding something in a big secret. A villain takes action, another villager harbouring their true feelings is left torn and an exit is teased for one resident who is temporarily departing the ITV soap soon.

Let's kick things off with Robron, as Robert is struggling to cope and considers leaving the village for good. It's Robert's sibling John Sugden, who happens to be Aaron's new husband, who persuades Aaron to go easy on his ex.
There's an uncomfortable encounter at the shop, as John and Robert seem to clash again - or perhaps this time it's Aaron and Robert. Either way, John leaves and Robert attempts to clear the air with Aaron over a coffee.

It's then that Robert hints he may be leaving and Aaron is surprised, while it's also clear he doesn't want that to happen. He does his best to reassure Robert and tries to get him to stick around.
Telling him he's valued, he gives Robert hope as he tries to talk him round - but is Robert hoping for a reconciliation once more? Later on in the week it seems there's more trouble ahead, when Moira Dingle confronts him about her land that she recently sold to him.
So has Moira uncovered the betrayal about Robert plotting to sell to Kim before he later changed his mind? It's Robert's sister Victoria Sugden who is left suspicious though, when Robert suggests they farm Annie's field together.

What will she say, and will Robert stick around? Elsewhere, Charity Dingle fears the worst when she suffers a fall amid her offering to be a surrogate to her granddaughter Sarah Sugden.
In upcoming episodes a procedure goes well at the fertility clinic, but next week Charity falls in the woods. She tries to convince herself that everything will be fine, and when Sarah comes home she doesn't tell her about the fall.

But later as the family gather for an engagement party for Sarah and her partner Jacob Gallagher, Charity sneaks off and rushes to the toilet. As her ex Vanessa spots her outside, a concerned Charity reveals to her that she's been bleeding.
Fearing the worst after the procedure, will Charity tell Sarah what's happened? We could be headed for an exit next week too as Steph's departure storyline may have been teased.
Actress Georgia Jay is currently on maternity leave, and so will be having a break from filming. Next week Steph and Ross Barton give their relationship another go, after some encouragement from their loved ones.

As they get closer, they officially reunite and Ross denies being with anyone else since they broke up - hiding the fact he slept with Manpreet Sharma. But when Manpreet is probed about her love life by Steph's mother Ruby later in the week, will she find out about the fling?
Also next week, Dylan is in a bad way a week on from being stabbed with a pitchfork at Moira's farm. His pal April Windsor finds him in need of urgent medical attention and sneaks him into the vet surgery.
Paddy Kirk stumbles across then though who patches Dylan up before offering him a room for the night. Soon villain Ray is catching up with Dylan as more about their connection is revealed onscreen.

Dylan reveals a hidden bag of drugs from his backpack, while ignoring Ray's messages. Dylan is soon sneaking off for drug drop-offs, while back in the village some of the residents realise Dylan was the one intruding at the farm.
When Ray eventually tracks down Dylan, Dylan turns down a job leading to the villain claiming to be cool with it - but we soon see him watching Dylan and April from a far. So what does he have planned?

Finally next week, Vinny Dingle is struggling after recently trying to kiss his pal Kammy amid his wedding plans with fiancée Gabby Thomas. As he continues to question his sexuality and his true self, he does his best to bury his doubts.
Aaron mistakes his pal's woes though for wedding doubts, so Vinny admits he tried to kiss someone else. Aaron urges him not to tell Gabby but Vinny is conflicted, and soon looks for answers about his sexuality - but will he find what he is looking for?

Emmerdale Dylan star reveals how 'stars aligned' on unexpected comeback story

Back in February Emmerdale viewers were stunned by a special episode which revealed what happened to April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) after she ran away from home. We saw her having a tough time living on the streets and in a squat, and how she was befriended by a young man called Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle), who was also living rough. When April returned to the village, Dylan later came looking for her. Desperate to protect his daughter, Marlon (Mark Charnock) tried to get rid of Dylan – who was battling drug addiction – by various means. Eventually Marlon agreed to pay for rehab for Dylan and the character left the village. Now he's back, and Fred Kettle told us what's in store for Dylan. 'I think Dylan's going to get introduced with a few new characters, including Ray (Joe Absolom),' he revealed. 'There's a bit of a County Lines idea there that we're going to do which has been really fun to play. It's Ray that actually helps him. He sort of takes him under his wing and helps him get away from drugs. 'I think Ray's trying to get him to gain a bit of trust. I feel like there's a little bit of a son father figure relationship going on. So Ray can gain trust to make Dylan deal drugs, basically.' Of course the main attraction of the village, as far as Dylan is concerned, is to see April again, as Fred explained. 'Their bond they had during that special episode, their time on the street, it was so special,' he said. 'They both helped each other get through really, really tough times. And when they parted, I feel like that's all Dylan would be able to think about, you know. So she's bound to be on his mind and he's bound to want to go back and see her.' These two things are quite contrasting, on the one hand dealing drugs for Ray and on the other trying to keep his life together for April. Fred said that Dylan knows that Ray is manipulating him but it's the best option he sees open to him: 'Dylan knows he's doing the wrong thing but it's more morally correct than what he was doing when he was back on the streets.' Whichever way the character goes, Fred is relishing the chance to explore the character some more. 'I feel like there's a few different routes it could go down and I'm willing to take any of them,' he said. Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers? Who's leaving Coronation Street? Fred had some hints when he was previously at Emmerdale that the character of Dylan might have a future in the show, he revealed. More Trending 'I think before I finished there were definitely little talks happening. It was like, 'Oh you could come back.' I was like, 'Yeah I'd love to.' I think it's been perfect, really, because I've just finished college and two days later I was back on set filming. So it was ideal how that happened. I feel like the stars sort of aligned there.' He's looking forward to what's in store for his character. View More » 'It's going to be good. It's going to be a nice journey for a few different characters actually. Love Island ‘winners' revealed ahead of least loved-up final EVER as survey tells all about why viewers keep tuning in

LOVE Island hosts its least loved-up final ever tonight – with no official couples up for the crown. Three of the four contenders are 'exclusively dating', but none has said, 'I love you' or officially become boyfriend and girlfriend. 6 6 6 It would seem, though, that this is exactly how viewers like it. Our exclusive poll of readers found that just five per cent of you watch the show 'for love' — and the rest tune in for the 'drama'. Some 51 per cent said they are drawn by explosive scenes, while 44 per cent said they want a mix. And TV ratings suggest the show is enjoying a revival, with viewing figures surging back towards 2022 levels, when winners Ekin-Su Culculoglu and Davide Sanclimenti set our screens alight with drama. An average 2.7million tune in to watch each Love Island episode, and the current series has reached 145million streams on ITVX. So what drama has seen viewers fall back in love with the ITV2 dating show this series? Explosive love triangles have kept fans on the edge of their seats, with gold trader and semi-pro footballer Harry Cooksley flip-flopping between two girls, Shakira Khan and Helena Ford. Another footie star to play the field is Harrison Solomon, stringing along Toni Laites and Lauren Wood. Meanwhile, personal trainer Dejon Williams continually pushed the boundaries with Meg Moore to flirt with other bombshells. The girls were at it too, though, as Toni dabbled with Cach Mercer and Harrison, while Yasmin Pettet caught the attention of a number of the lads before she found Jamie Rhodes in Casa Amor. And there was savage bullying among the girls, notably from Meg. Some of the toxic behaviour prompted Women's Aid to raise concerns over the men 'lying, manipulating and covering for each other', branding it misogyny. Many viewers complained about the show to Ofcom, including eight per cent of readers in our poll. Some 29 per cent said they wanted to log a concern but didn't. You exposed Harry as the villain of the series, with 32 per cent of the vote, followed by Meg on 22 and Harrison on 15 per cent. An uptick in the amount of sex screened by producers also boosted the drama, with 22 per cent of readers saying the raunchy scenes made the show more interesting. Tonight's finalists are Yasmin and Jamie; Toni and Cach; Angel Swift and Ty Isherwood, who are all 'exclusive'; and Harry and Shakira. Sun readers have hailed Yasmin and Jamie their winners with 28 per cent of the vote, followed by Toni and Cach on 18.9 per cent and Shakira and Harry a whisker behind with 18.7 per cent. 'Something real' Some 27 per cent think Yasmin and Jamie will last on the outside. Conor Phillips and Megan Clarke were axed during Friday's episode, then Meg and Dejon left last night. Our poll was done while all five couples were still in the villa. During their final dates of this series, Yasmin told Jamie: 'When I met you, the waters just seemed to calm', while Jamie confessed: 'I feel like this is something real.' 6 6 6 Toni told Cach she felt 'taken care of'. He gifted her a necklace and asked her to be exclusive. Ty gushed to Angel: 'My feelings are growing for you every day', while she admitted: 'I've got feelings for you. I like it.' And Harry gave Shakira a necklace and a turtle pendant, her favourite animal. Maya Jama hosts tonight's final live from the villa. Some 60 per cent backed her as host, but 16 per cent felt she had 'clocked out'. Love Island final tonight, 9pm, ITV2. BULLIES MUST STOP By FELICITY CROSS EVEN in the 1800s, Jane Austen knew the path to true love should never run smooth. Who wants a happy ever after just five minutes in? It's clear Love Island bosses agree and, when launching this summer's series at the TV villa, executive producer Mike Spencer-Hayter told me to expect more twists, turns and drama than ever before. The decision made for must-watch telly and long-dormant WhatsApp groups have come alive, with my fortysomething friends once more desperate for all my Love Island gossip. But there's also been some truly horrible behaviour, with some of the lads treating the girls appallingly. Can we make love without war? It's a balance PR-savvy ITV will need to find next year if the show is to survive.

Love Island fans horrified by 'disgusting sex scenes' between Meg and Dejon

ITV viewers have slammed steamy bedroom scenes of Megan and Dejon tonight as 'disgusting' and 'too much' after they kissed and made up following their latest spat Love Island viewers have been left horrified by some very raunchy bedroom scenes between official couple Meg and Dejon tonight. ‌ After kissing and making up following their huge spat after date night, Meg and Dejon were filmed getting hot and steamy under the blankets, but viewers were less than impressed as they called the scenes 'disgusting'. ‌ Taking to X, horrified fans shared their stern opinions on the villa's least favourite couple this season. It comes after it was revealed that one couple will be ordered to leave the villa just hours before the big ITV final. ‌ "Every time love island shows meg & dejon getting busy under the sheets an angel loses its wings," one viewer quipped. Another echoed: "Seriously mug and mustard need to chill it in the bedroom. idk how the others do it. I understand its love island blah blah blah. but like you CAN feel uncomfortable when someone is doing the tango in the same room as you." "Six minutes into today's episode and Dejon has mentioned the fact he's on Love Island and Meg has said 'but we're boyfriend and girlfriend now.' Get them out. WHY ALWAYS WITH THE BLOODY SEX SCENES TOO," another viewer raged. ‌ Someone else quipped: "OMG!! That was literally like soft porn. Why do we need to see this. Nobody needs to see Meg doing the business." As we get ready for the semi-final of one of the most dramatic series of Love Island yet, two more islanders will be brutally dumped from the villa as they get voted off by their former friends and foes, who aren't holding back. One couple won't be making it to the final of the show, as ITV 's latest teaser revealed a dramatic scene showing all the former islanders returning to the iconic villa one last time to make a huge decision. ‌ ITV took to Instagram to share the short clip from Sunday evening's episode, along with the caption: "First look! Ex-Islanders return for a savage dumping, and they're not holding back." Maya Jama appears to have returned to Mallorca one last time as she gets ready for the final and is seen entering the villa to announce the latest twist. ‌ After a dramatic slow-motion walk into the villa, the presenter announces: "Hello, hello, hello. Are you alright my loves? How was the dates? Are you all loved up? Well I have some very important news. Can you come and join me on the lawn?" The remaining islanders are Yas and Jamie, Cach and Toni, Harry and Shakira, Ty and Angel and Meg and Dejon. Maya informs them: "Well today, one more couple will be dumped from the Love Island villa and that decision will be made by some very familiar faces." The returning islanders included Sophie Lee, who entered at the start of the series and was the first to be dumped on day two. Viewers will also see the return of Tommy, who was previously one of the favourites to win the show but was dumped by Shakira. ‌ The latest teaser sent fans into a frenzy with many of them predicting who will be the couple dumped. One viewer commented: 'Sorry, but after Thursday and Friday, it's gotta be Meg and Dejon. Their time is up', while another added: 'Harry & Shakira.. your time is up!' A third shared their thoughts and wrote: 'For all the years of watching Love Island, it's my first time feeling this nervous about the finals. I swear my anxiety level is through the roof'. Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
