The 'Vidhaata' actress recalled how back in her day, conditions were tougher. She reminisced about shooting during rain often meant hastily seeking cover under a tree or an umbrella, highlighting the lack of proper facilities for women balancing motherhood with demanding shooting schedules. The veteran actress shared, "No doubt, it is definitely more conducive now for women because, you know, you have the comforts of a vanity van.
And, you know, there are proper facilities-like, in those days, if it rained during shootings, one would run under a tree or a big umbrella. Now, you have tents and all those comforts, which are really important. I mean, there are vans with toilets, and back then it was different. Right? So, yeah, there is a lot that has improved, but a lot still needs to be done."

She added, "Being a SINTA Senior Vice President, we have also met with the Labour Minister.
And we've kind of told him about the challenges the industry, the women, the actors, and the members face. And they, you know, they're looking into it so positively. We met the Labour Minister, and he was so patient. There are a lot of things they didn't know, really - you know, the challenges actors are facing. That era was different.
This era is different. You know, one has to evolve, one has to go with the trends. Technology has advanced so much."

Padmini Kolhapure also touched on the rapid advancement of technology in filmmaking, contrasting the past with the present. While earlier, a cameraman's shot was the final take, today's digital technology allows directors and cinematographers to review footage instantly on monitors and make changes in post-production, offering greater creative flexibility.
Padmini touched upon the challenges working mothers face in the industry amid the ongoing feud between
and director
. The tension reportedly arose after Deepika was removed from his film "Spirit," following claims that she was deemed 'unprofessional' for insisting on an eight-hour workday and specific conditions, reflecting her responsibilities as a new mother.
Reports suggest that Deepika's request to limit her daily shooting hours was not well received by the filmmaker, highlighting the ongoing struggle for better accommodations for working mothers in cinema.

Sandeep Reddy Vanga shares an update about his next film, Spirit, with Prabhas and Triptii Dimri. Here's what he said
Despite ongoing discussion around Deepika Padukone's reported exit from Spirit due to conflicting work thoughts, Sandeep Reddy Vanga is focused on moving forward with the project. The director has confirmed that the production on Spirit, starring Prabhas and Triptii Dimri, is slated to begin this September. The storyline of Spirit is not out yet. Sandeep Reddy Vanga to start Spirit shoot The filmmaker shared an update about his film during a chat with Vijay Deverakonda and filmmaker Gowtam Tinnanuri on the Sithara Entertainments channel on YouTube. He shared that Spirit will have back-to-back schedules and a non-stop shooting plan once it hits the floors. Earlier this year, the film made headlines when Deepika Padukone exited the project following disagreements over working hours and compensation. At that time, Sandeep had posted a scathing note seemingly criticising actor Deepika for 'ousting' the script of Spirit. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Sandeep didn't name anyone, but appeared to have slammed Deepika for "dirty PR games" and "putting down a younger actor". Following her exit, Triptii Dimri was roped in to play the female lead opposite Prabhas. According to several reports, Sandeep has already completed the musical compositions for Spirit in collaboration with composer Harshavardhan Rameshwar. Some time back, while speaking to Baradwaj Rangan for Galatta Plus YouTube channel, Sandeep reacted to dealing with the pressure of the box office, and spoke about Spirit. When asked if he is also concerned about the economics, the filmmaker opined, 'I think because the kind of budget they are putting, I feel the producer is safe. With Prabhas and my combination along with satellite and digital rights, we can recover our budget there itself. If everything goes well with the teaser, trailer and songs pre-release and whatever we do to grab the audiences attention, opening day would be ₹150 crore. It's a trade calculation. It should be worldwide or pan-India. Easily it could be ₹150 crore in one day for a film like this if the material is good.' About Spirit Spirit marks the first-ever on-screen collaboration between Prabhas and Triptii Dimri and her second collaboration with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, producer Bhushan Kumar, and Pranay Reddy Vanga, following the success of Animal. Backed by T-Series and Bhadrakali Pictures, Spirit will feature Prabhas as a fierce and intense police officer. After wrapping up Spirit, Sandeep will start the process of writing for his much-awaited project, Animal Park, on which he will once again collaborate with Ranbir Kapoor following the success of Animal.

68 tanks to be rejuvenated in 3 constituencies
Krishnagiri (Kurnool district): A major irrigation initiative aimed at transforming Rayalaseema into a green belt was formally launched in Kurnool district. The project, considered the brainchild of former minister K E Krishnamurthy, seeks to fill 68 village tanks across Dhone, Pattikonda and Alur Assembly constituencies with water from the Handri-Neeva project. The inauguration ceremony was held at Lakkasagaram village in Krishnagiri mandal on Friday, where Labour Minister Vasamsetty Subhash, along with MLAs, Kotla Jaya Surya Prakash Reddy and K E Shyam Kumar, switched on motors to begin the water release into the tanks. Speaking on the occasion, Minister Subhash stated that the project was originally initiated in 2018–19 under the leadership of former deputy chief minister K E Krishnamurthy. With an allocation of Rs 280 crore, around 70% of the work was completed by 2023–24. He criticised the previous YSRCP government for neglecting the initiative, accusing it of focusing more on corruption and political survival rather than on farmers' welfare and rural development. The Minister highlighted various developmental works taken up in the Pattikonda constituency, including the construction of CC roads and drainage systems worth Rs 15 crore, and the modernisation of an SC hostel at a cost of Rs 3.5 crore. He pointed out that unlike the previous administration, which allegedly mismanaged welfare schemes like Amma Vodi, the current coalition government was delivering on all its Super Six promises. Under the new administration, welfare benefits were being distributed fairly, ensuring every eligible household receives support. Taking a strong dig at the YSRCP, the Minister accused its leadership of attempting to derail investments worth Rs 6 lakh crore into Andhra Pradesh by circulating misleading messages through tools like the 'Bhaskar' software. He stated that the previous government failed to present any meaningful development in five years and was instead focused on destructive politics. Referring to their electoral downfall — winning only 11 seats out of 175 — the Minister remarked that the people have decisively rejected their arrogance. He concluded by expressing hope that the opposition would recover from its political stupor and return to serving the public with sincerity.
