Cineworld offering £1 family films as part of summer deal
The promotion runs every week from July 25 to August 28, including at the Spytty venue in Newport, giving families a chance to enjoy big-screen favourites together at a bargain price.
The line-up includes The Wild Robot, Mufasa: The Lion King, Transformers One, Dog Man and Moana 2.
Stuart Crane, international vice president of film content at Cineworld, said: "Summer holidays are made for being more childish together as a family.
"With our £1 Family Films, families can experience the wonder of the big screen."

Several years later and it is still one of the best movies Disney has ever produced.", reports Surrey Live. Another commented: "Moana is a strong four-star animated adventure that I really enjoyed. With its breathtaking animation, inspiring protagonist, and unforgettable music, it delivers a powerful and emotionally uplifting journey." A third remarked: "Had to see this movie after hearing the music on TikTok. I have to say, it was one of the best Disney movies I've seen in a very long time. I don't know why I waited so long to watch it (other than being a 37 year old man and this is not my usual movie type)." And yet another shared: "So good! ! Watched this movie more than a hundred times!". While a different fan added: "I thought this was fantastic. One of the best Disney blockbusters of this era, with great music, great story and characters, and wonderful visuals." However, some viewers disagreed. Kids' Choice Awards 2025: Jack Black and Wicked win big
Jack Black, Sabrina Carpenter and the film Wicked were among the big winners at the 2025 Kids' Choice Awards. The awards are handed out to the best performers across kids' TV, films, music and more. 5,000 gallons of the award's iconic green goo were blasted at the winners - that's nearly 19,000 litres of reading to find out who else won at the slimiest awards around. Jack Black said it "might be the best day of my life" as he was crowned the King of Comedy. He also won Favourite Movie Actor for his role in A Minecraft 2 also scooped up two awards, with both Auli'i Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson winning for their voice acting. Favourite Movie Actress went to Wicked's Ariana Grande, while the song Defying Gravity won Favourite Song from a Movie. Staying in the music category, it was a great night for Sabrina Carpenter as she won her first ever Kids' Choice wasn't just one win though. She also got Favourite Album, Favourite Song and Favourite Female Breakout Artist.
