Howe topped off that Carabao Cup Wembley triumph by leading his team to a fifth-placed Premier League finish to also secure Champions League qualification.
The 47-year-old is wasting no time basking in that glory though, and is on the look-out for a new face to add to his backroom staff.
Newcastle are advertising for a set-piece coach to 'work closely with the first team coaching staff, analysts and players to maximise performance outcomes from dead-ball situations'.
His assistant Jason Tindall has been the lead on dead-ball situations for the past few years and has been pretty effective.

Just six clubs scored more from dead-ball scenarios this season but they have been even better defensively.
Only Aston Villa, Manchester City and Brentford conceded fewer goals from set-pieces than Newcastle's tally of eight last term.
But the meticulous Howe now wants more and is 'looking for an experienced and innovative elite level coach to support our first team by leading the strategic planning, design, and execution of all offensive and defensive set-play routines.'
The job, which Toon want filled by June 16, adds: 'Collaborating with the wider analysis team you will conduct detailed video and data based analysis to identify set-piece trends and vulnerabilities, delivering high-quality, position specific training sessions to ensure high performance.

'This is an outstanding opportunity to directly impact the continued growth of an ambitious Premier League club.'
It also states that applicants must possess a Uefa A licence and 'have significant experience of set-play coaching and development gained in an elite coaching environment' as well as needing to be 'fully up to date with current global trends and innovations'.
Champions League places CONFIRMED after Aston Villa VAR controversy as Newcastle have to be saved by Man Utd
There is no suggestion that Howe is not happy with Tindall and the rest of the current staff's set-piece planning, but rather he is just chasing that extra few per cent to help his men improve at both ends of the pitch.

In fact, Howe was full of praise for his No2 and the rest of those that focus on set-pieces.
He said earlier this season: 'There's always a team, it's never one person. Jason will be the first to say that.
'Jason spends a lot of time on set-plays. Kieran Taylor, our analyst, spends a lot of time on set plays. We work on them individually and collectively.
'Sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. The goals need to come from somewhere and there needs to be a regular source.

'Congratulations to everyone who does the work on them. Ultimately the players are the ones who have to do it and the staff will acknowledge that.'

Ex Wrexham star Mark Howard on McElhenney and Reynolds

Phil Parkinson's men finished runners-up in League One last term to secure an historic third successive promotion and place in the second tier for the first time in 43 years. Wrexham begin the 2025-26 season against the Saints, relegated from the Premier League, at St Marys Stadium on Saturday August 9, with the game being shown live on Sky Sports with a 12.30 kick-off. Goalkeeper Howard, who was part of Wrexham's three promotion-winning squads, says it's the ideal match for the Reds and he has backed Hollywood owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney to maintain the feelgood factor in the Championship. 'It is the dream. They (Wrexham players) all want to test themselves against the best players and the best opposition,' said Howard, who arrived at The Racecourse from Carlisle United in the summer of 2022 and made 50 league appearances before being released at the end of last season. 'No better opportunity than the opening kick-off at 12.30pm against one of the teams that have come down from the Premier League. 'It really has been a Hollywood movie, every part of it over the last three years. "The back-to-back-to-back promotions have been incredible and the owners have brought along some very famous faces to the football club. MORE WREXHAM AFC NEWS Any Wrexham fixtures selected for live broadcast to be announced in coming days 'To say you've had a laugh in the dressing room with Will Ferrell and Channing Tatum is beyond belief really. 'The owners live and breathe it. They are with you for every win, every loss, and reach out to you after every game. 'They are fully invested in it in what the lads are doing as people and players. "You get that sense off them whether they're at a game or watching from America, Canada or wherever.'

Alejandro Garnacho sent Roy Keane warning after Man Utd star's 'stupid' decision

Alejandro Garnacho caused controversy after posing in an Aston Villa and former Manchester United star Louis Saha has claimed Roy Keane would have crunched him in training in response Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane would have taken Alejandro Garnacho out on the training pitch for his latest show of petulance. Garnacho, who has fallen out of favour at United, posted on social media a picture of him wearing an Aston Villa top with Marcus Rashford's name and number on the back. Rashford spent the second half of last season on loan at Villa after falling out with boss Ruben Amorim, and Garnacho's provocative stunt was seen as him taunting the United boss after he, too, suffered the same fate as the England forward. ‌ Garnacho was dropped for United's 1-0 Europa League final defeat to Tottenham in Bilbao, prompting the winger – who turned 21 yesterday – to publicly criticise Amorim over the decision and reveal he was considering his future. ‌ That in turn convinced Amorim that Garnacho has no place in his future plans, with the club actively looking to sell the £50million-rated Argentina international this summer. Former United striker Louis Saha said ex-skipper Keane would have dealt with Garnacho in the most brutal way possible – by subjecting him to a series of fierce tackles on the training pitch to show him he was out of line. 'Back in my day, I think Roy would have welcomed Garnacho back to the training ground with a few crunching tackles to help him understand what he thought of him,' said Saha. 'I can't say for sure, but I really doubt Keane will agree with what Garnacho did. 'It's the type of things we see from new generations. To be honest, I can't only blame Garnacho. The way the squad has been built, it's why Garnacho thinks he has the right to do something like this. 'It's why he thinks he can make stupid comments and say things on social media. He thinks he's going to get something out of it and, right now, United are the club who are giving him the platform to act this way. 'He already thinks he's a top player, already makes demands, acts without respect. It's a shame, but there are other factors than just the player. The club and the squad, they've already lost the leaders. The bad influences have already taken over. They think they're bigger and better than they are. ‌ 'Keane, Rio Ferdinand, David Beckham, Gary Neville, they would all make sure you understand what wasn't allowed. They wouldn't give players the luxury to act like this. He's been let down because he's been given too much responsibility for a player who hasn't earned it yet. 'It's fine if you're playing like Wayne Rooney. If you score 20 or 30 goals a season, do what you want, demand what you want. Garnacho has five goals and he's carrying on like this. It's crazy.' ‌ Asked if a potential swap deal involving Garnacho and Chelsea striker Christopher Nkunku would be a good move, Saha said: 'Everyone can benefit from the move. It's a win-win. United want players who are dedicated, work hard, are eager to play and who have talent. 'We want players who want to play well, and there's extra motivation in the year of a World Cup. I think Nkunku knows if he plays well, he can get back in the French squad for the summer. At the same time, he's not the kind of player who disrupts the dressing room. 'As for Garnacho, if he wants to go, get rid of him. I used to be a huge fan, but that's over. Anyone like this, if they want to go, go. Even if you lose money, it doesn't matter, because you can bring in a player who can behave as they should.' Louis Saha was speaking to Coin Poker. The full interview can be found here. Arsenal get Rodrygo encouragement after Viktor Gyokeres transfer breakthrough

Arsenal are ready to spend big this summer in a bid to finally win the Premier League title again and are now stepping up their interest in two of their big name transfer targets It was always going to be a busy summer transfer window for Arsenal. And after weeks of speculation over strikers, it seems as though things are finally starting to heat up. Talks with Sporting Lisbon over a deal for Viktor Gyokeres appear to be advancing as the club close in on the quality No.9 Mikel Arteta craves. And with more deals in the pipeline, the Gunners are likely to have a few new faces in red and white when the new Premier League season kicks off next month. ‌ Kepa Arrizabalaga is already through the door with Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard likely to follow. ‌ But there is also the prospect of a deal for Eberechi Eze, while a left winger is also on the agenda with Rodrygo emerging as a top target. Here, Mirror Football round up all the latest transfer news from in and around The Emirates... Rodrygo encouragement Rodrygo's limited involvement for Real Madrid in the Club World Cup has fuelled belief that Arsenal could land the Brazilian this summer in their search for an elite left-sided forward. Rodrygo was a regular starter under Carlo Ancelotti before ending the season out of favour. And while noises from Spain have suggested the 24-year-old wants to stay and fight for his place at the Bernabeu, he was an unused substitute in Los Blancos' win over Juventus in the United States. Mirror Football revealed last month that Arsenal are prepared to bide their time if they have a chance of landing Rodrygo. And as things stand, a move would seemingly not be beyond the realms of possibility. Gyokeres breakthrough ‌ Sky Sports are claiming that Arsenal and Sporting Lisbon are now in 'advanced talks' over a deal for Victor Gyokeres to swap the Portuguese Primeira Liga for the Premier League. The report adds that Arsenal are 'moving away' from a deal for their alternative target, Benjamin Sesko. Gyokeres has reportedly already agreed a five-year deal for Arsenal, who have been weighing up whether to move for the Swede or Sesko this summer. ‌ Palace make Eze stand Crystal Palace will not sell Eberechi Eze for less than the midfielder's £86million release clause, according to a new report from The Standard. Arsenal are said to be pursuing Eze in addition to a deal for a quality striker and a new left-sided forward, though Eze can play on the left. Eze's release clause dictates that the £68m needs to be paid in three instalments: one third up front, another third next summer with the final payment in 2027. But Arsenal would like to spread the cost of any deal over a longer period. Join our new WhatsApp community and receive your daily dose of Mirror Football content.
