Amber to invest ₹6K cr in Noida plant for electronics, appliances

Amber Enterprises is set to invest ₹6,000 crore in a major electronics manufacturing plant near the upcoming Noida International Airport at Jewar. This development was confirmed by Uttar Pradesh's Industrial Development Minister, Nand Gopal Gupta.
According to the minister, he met with Amber Enterprises' promoter, Jasbir Singh, in Lucknow recently to discuss the project. The company intends to set up manufacturing units for printed circuit board (PCB) assembly, home appliances and consumer electronics as part of this large-scale initiative.
'This ₹6,000 crore investment will open new avenues of growth and prosperity in the state,' said Gupta, calling the project a key step in Uttar Pradesh's ongoing industrial progress.
The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has already issued a Letter of Intent (LoI) for 100 acres of land located in Sector 8, Noida, where the plant will be built. The site is situated close to the Noida International Airport, along the Yamuna Expressway.
Government support and future opportunities
Minister Gupta highlighted that under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's leadership, the state is actively working to attract new investments.
'This (latest investment) will not only accelerate the state's overall development but also create new employment opportunities for the youth,' he said.
Amber Enterprises is a well-known manufacturer of air conditioners and related electronics. The planned facility is expected to play a significant role in strengthening the region's electronics and white goods manufacturing ecosystem.

Amber Enterprises India has reported a 22.60 per cent year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit, reaching ₹116.07 crore for the quarter ended March 2025. This is an increase from ₹94.67 crore in the same quarter of the previous year.
The company also saw a significant rise in revenue, with sales growing 33.80 per cent to ₹3,753.70 crore, compared to ₹2,805.46 crore in the March 2024 quarter.

Realty firm Signature Global plans to raise up to Rs 875 crore through issue of non-convertible debentures to refinance debt and expand business. Signature Global's board approved the raising of funds by issuance of Secured Listed Redeemable Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs), for an amount not exceeding Rs 875 crore on private placement basis, in one or more tranches. Signature Global Chairman Pradeep Kumar Aggarwal, said, "We have taken the approval of board to raise funds. We will also seek shareholders approvals." He said the company will use Rs 450 crore to refinance its existing debt while the remaining amount will be for business growth. Aggarwal said the company is targeting to raise funds by the end of August, subject to shareholders' approval. On Wednesday, the board also approved the notice of postal ballot for seeking shareholders' approval for issuance of NCDs, enhancement of borrowing limit, enhancement of limit for creation of security and alteration of Articles of Association of the company. Gurugram-based Signature Global is one of the leading real estate developers in the country. In 2024-25 financial year, the company emerged as the fifth largest listed real estate firm in terms of sales bookings. The company sold properties worth Rs 10,290 crore in the last fiscal and is targeting Rs 12,500 crore pre-sales in the current financial year. Signature Global started its business to develop affordable housing projects, but now it is focusing on mid-income, premium segments because of the high land cost in Gurugram.

Insolation Energy rose 1.55% to Rs 274.50 after its wholly owned subsidiary, Insolation Green Energy, received a Letter of Intent (LOI) from Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (JVVNL). The LOI is part of the PM-KUSUM Component A scheme, which promotes solar energy for agricultural use. The contract involves end-to-end responsibilities, right from design and survey to supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of grid-connected solar power plants across 58 locations. It also includes a 25-year commitment for operations and maintenance from the date of commissioning. These projects will be implemented in RESCO mode, where the developer retains ownership and sells power to the utility. The total capacity of the combined solar projects stands at 109.79 MW. To connect the solar plants to the grid, the company will also build associated 11 KV lines linking to various 33/11 KV substations, along with a remote monitoring system for performance tracking. The contract is expected to be fully executed by the end of Q1 of FY 2026-27 and represents a total investment of around Rs 380 crore. The levelized tariff for the electricity generated has been finalized at Rs 2.55 per unit for 51 sites, Rs 3.037 per unit for 6 sites, and Rs 3.04 per unit for one site. Collectively, these plants are projected to generate 17.56 crore units annually, translating to an estimated annual revenue of approximately Rs 45.82 crore. Jaipur-based Insolation Energy is a leading solar panel manufacturer in India. The company's consolidated net profit surged 60.53% to Rs 64.92 crore while net sales jumped 57.32% to Rs 721.73 crore in H2FY25 over H2FY24.

Despite the government's approval on January 16, 2025, the Pay Commission has not been formally constituted. Many fear whether this move is a genuine administrative initiative or otherwise. 8th Pay Commission ToRs NCJCM Staff Side Presses Faster Finalisation 8 / 8 The Staff Side has appealed to the government to issue clear guidelines on the finalized ToRs of the 8th CPC at the earliest, to dispel any ambiguity and restore confidence among the workforce. The Staff Side further requested the government to clarify that the benefits of pay fixation and revision under the 8th CPC shall also be extended to all central government pensioners, thereby removing doubts and ensuring parity and fairness in treatment.
