2 kids, 8 adults displaced after fire ravages Glebe homes
Crews were called to Fourth Avenue near Lyon Street at around 10:37 p.m. after getting multiple 911 calls about flames and smoke, Ottawa Fire Services (OFS) said on Sunday.
Once they arrived, they found several people who'd evacuated and gathered on the sidewalk outside.
The fire had engulfed four large semi-detached homes, several outdoor decks, a garage with a vehicle and a tree, OFS said.
After an "aggressive" attack that involved pulling down ceilings, opening up walls and cutting holes in roofs, firefighters were able to get the three-alarm blaze under control just after 11 p.m., OFS said.
Paramedics told CBC that a woman in her 60s was injured and taken to hospital. She was in stable condition as of Sunday afternoon, they said.
In all, eight adults and two children were displaced by the fire. An OFS investigator has also been dispatched to the scene to determine how the fire started.

Police said a female pedestrian was also struck by the driver of the vehicle and taken to the hospital.
