Howard makes history at NCAA Championship
Individually, Sey had her best performance in a Bison uniform, winning bronze in the 100-meter hurdles with a 12.93 time. Her third-place finish is the highest in program history. Additionally, the British native received All-American First Team honors. Oregon's Aaliyah McCormick won the short hurdles, producing a 12.81 mark.
Graduate student Noah Langford of Virginia Beach, Virginia, led the Bison with a standout performance in the 400-meter hurdles semifinals. Langford posted a time of 50.50 seconds, falling short of qualifying for the final round but earning Second Team All-America honors. He became the first Howard men's long hurdler to earn All-America recognition since John Branch accomplished it for the Washington, D.C. HBCU in 1989.
Baylor's Nathaniel Ezekiel recorded the top 400-meter hurdles time in the semifinals with an impressive 47.86 seconds.
Howard also competed in the 4×400-meter relay, featuring Langford, sophomore Emerson McKindra of Linden, New Jersey, and freshmen Cameron Brazell of Houston and Elijah Grant of Fort Mill, South Carolina. The team clocked in at 3:08.92, missing advancement but receiving honorable mention from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). Howard Director of Track & Field David Oliver and the Bison wrapped up another success season, winning a pair of MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) crowns during the indoor and outdoor campaigns. HU looks to defend both crowns for the upcoming 2025-26 campaign.

"Clark will continue working with the Fever medical team on her recovery and rehabilitation, with the priority on her long-term health and well-being. Despite there being no official timeline for Clark to return to the court, ESPN has revealed when it believes she'll be back and playing for the Fever again. On their WNBA injuries page, ESPN has listed August 12 as a potential return date for Clark. If that does end up becoming accurate, Clark would make her return against Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings at home. Throughout the 13 games she has been able to play this season, Clark has seen her numbers decrease. That should be expected though, as she has been playing through nagging injury issues. Obviously, it hasn't been the MVP-caliber season that many fans and analysts were expecting from Clark. The hope is simply that she can get healthy and back on the court to help Indiana pursue a run in the playoffs. Expect to hear more about the Fever superstar in the near future. OXNARD, Calif. (AP) — The Dallas Cowboys signed tight end Jake Ferguson to a four-year, $52 million extension Sunday. The deal includes a $12 million signing bonus. A fourth-round pick in 2022, Ferguson is entering the final year of his rookie deal. He had 59 catches for 494 yards but did not have a touchdown reception last season. The previous year, he posted career highs with 71 catches for 761 yards and five TDs. Ferguson dealt with knee and concussion issues last year but still started 14 games. This deal comes as two-time All-Pro defensive end Micah Parsons remains in negotiations for his own extension, entering the final season of his rookie deal. BASEL, Switzerland (AP) — Spain leads England 1-0 at halftime in the Women's European Championship final on Sunday after scoring a very English-style goal. Mariona Caldentey's header in the 25th minute was fair reward for Spain's precise passing patterns around the tightly packed England penalty area. It was the fourth time in England's six games at this tournament that the defending champion trailed to the first goal before halftime. The English flavor to the opening goal was in a full back's cross from the byline finding the head of an Arsenal player to score as Ona Battle sent an accurate cross from the byline to Caldentey. Caldentey had gone close with a shot just minutes before scoring and tournament top scorer Esther González also had three scoring chances. Still, England had a clear chance to lead in the 19th. Spain goalkeeper Cata Coll saved well from Lauren Hemp's low shot after her own reckless pass in the penalty area gifted the ball to the England winger. There was royalty from both nations in the VIP box watching the game. Prince William, who is the first in line to the British throne, was with his daughter Princess Charlotte. He is president of the English Football Association. __
