Leonardo DiCaprio's 'telling' two-word comment about iconic Titanic scene
Despite having been released over 27 years ago, Titanic continues to be described as one of the greatest films in modern cinema. The movie tells the story of Jack and Rose, played by Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet respectively, as they sail aboard the Titanic ship before it sinks.
In one of the most famous scenes of the film, which is still talked about as a big 'controversy' within the movie world, Jack and Rose are seen swimming in the ice cold water after having jumped off the sinking ship. They then find an empty raft from a door which Rose climbs up on, leaving Jack to freeze in the water.
While many people are still taking about this scene, with people arguing about whether or not Jack could have fitted on the door with Rose and thereby saving his life, Leonardo DiCaprio has now shared his own thoughts on the matter after being asked about it in an interview.
In an interview with All the Right Movies, Leonardo, along with his 'Once Upon A Time... In Hollywood' co-stars Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie, was asked about the famous ending of the Titanic movie.
"Okay, biggest movie controversy of all time," the interview started before jumping in to ask his question. "Could Jack have fit on that door at the end of Titanic?"
"Oh my god," Margot immediately said. "I remember bawling my eyes out when I was a girl."
As to the question, Leonardo just replied with a smile on his face: "I have no comment."
"That is telling I think," the interviewer said, to which Margot quickly agreed to, saying: "That is the biggest controversy in modern cinema."
"When would you [comment on it]?" Brad asked Leonardo, which he quickly said he'd never comment on the matter.
"No comment," he said again as the rest of the group laughed as he seemed uncomfortable about the question, not wanting to say anything else about it.
"Did you mention it at the time? Were you like 'should we make the door smaller?'" Margot then asked the actor.
Leonardo then once again replied: "Like I said, I have no comment."
Director James Cameron has previously been open about his decision of letting Jack die in the movie, claiming he 'had to die' for the plot to work.
Talking in a press interview for Avatar: The Way of Water, James said: "No, [Jack] needed to die. It's like Romeo and Juliet, right? It's only poignant. It's a movie about, you know, love and sacrifice and mortality.
"The love is measured by the sacrifice. Now, maybe I didn't do it in a way that everybody agrees with, but Jack had to die. It's that simple. If I had to make the raft a little bit smaller, I'd make it smaller.
"Now, incidentally, we have since done a thorough forensic analysis with a hypothermia expert, reproducing the raft from the movie [...] where we took two stunt people but with the exact body mass of Kate and Leo. And we put censors all over them and inside them," he explained.
"And we put them in ice water, and we tested to see whether they could have survived by this method, or that method, or that method. And the answer was there was no way they could both survive. Only one could survive."

ITV crime series with 'perfect' Rotten Tomatoes score available to stream now
Fans are hailing the series - starring former Strictly Come Dancing winner Rose-Ayling Ellis - as 'groundbreaking' and 'addictive' An ITV crime thriller series has been hailed for its "riveting" acting. TV critics have been unable to pull themselves away from the programme, which many say is "addictive". Starring in the lead role in Code of Silence is Strictly Come Dancing star Rose Ayling-Ellis as Alison Brooks, a deaf civilian who is drafted in to assist a major police investigation; with all their hopes pinned on her ability to help aid their search. "Alison Brooks' lipreading skills pull her into the police's investigation of a dangerous gang, but her undeniable connection with criminal Liam Barlow threatens everything," the official synopsis reads. The series, which is now available on ITV and aired on the channel in May, has been given a perfect score of 100% by critics on Rotten Tomatoes. Although some feedback is mixed, it appears the one thing in common is that everyone could agree they couldn't stop watching. One critic wrote: "Yes, this is a pretty traditional crime drama in a host of ways, but it's got a true star turn in the lead and a story that will keep you entertained from start to finish." Lavishing praise on Ellis, another wrote: "With Code of Silence (Ayling-Ellis) is revealed to be something else: a riveting actress with the talent to anchor a knuckle-biting criminal caper." One noted: "But although it's not a heavyweight crime drama, it's still worth a watch for its simulation of the deaf experience. The handling of lip-reading is fascinating, and the sound effects are perfect." "Is every second of this series satisfying? Nope. Still, overall, Code of Silence is truly groundbreaking, and the first three instalments are sublime," wrote another viewer. Someone else added: "You can watch and learn - or at least newly appreciate an under-acknowledged world - without being shortchanged on your entertainment at all. That's quite a triumph." "Coincidences abound... But it's still enjoyable, and the sheer talent of the people involved keep things absorbing. An addictive Sunday night drama," someone else penned. It appears the show has already become a smash hit with viewers, with a second series reportedly already underway. During her stint on Strictly Come Dancing, Ayling-Ellis won the show in 2021 with a routine that grabbed viewer attention when the accompanying music fell silent halfway through to mirror her experience of being deaf. Between her time in the BBC dance competition, her previous stint in EastEnders and her starring role in this ITV crime thriller, Ayling-Ellis has become a face to champion the deaf community in its entirety.

Jack Osbourne reveals adorable moment Ozzy's granddaughter realises his fame
Jack Osbourne shared a sweet moment with his daughter Maple as they watched Ozzy Osbourne perform on screen years before the Prince of Darkness' death Jack Osbourne captured the adorable moment his daughter Maple realised her granddad was a hugely famous musician. Following the sad news of Ozzy Osbourne's death on Tuesday at the age of 76, a resurfaced clip from 2023 showed the loving bond he had with his granddaughter. While Jack, 39, often shared clips of his kids, including them with Ozzy at their home, it was a video of Maple watching her " Papa" perform that really pulls at the heartstrings. Jack is sitting on a settee in the clip, while his toddler daughter is excitedly standing, with the help of a table. The duo are watching footage of Ozzy performing on stage and while Jack has a wry smile on his face, his daughter is a lot more vocal in her glee. The excited tot keeps shouting "papa" at the screen while beaming with joy. She then points towards the clip as she continue to smile and shout. And further clips showed how the bond has continued to blossom between the pair as Jack showed Maple enjoying her papa's final ever show under three weeks ago. "It never gets old. Still mesmerized by grand-dad," Jack gushed as he shared a clip of his kids enjoying Ozzy's performance on stage at Villa Park. While Jack shares Maple with current wife Aree Gearhart, he also has three daughters — Pearl, Andy and Minnie — with his ex-wife Lisa Stelly. The trio were also seen in his recent clip enjoying the tunes of Ozzy. Just before his death, Jack gushed over his 'loving' father amid his many health woes. He proudly spoke about his dad's life and career just two weeks ago, describing Ozzy as 'funny and unique'. Ozzy's son Jack had been at a screening of a new Ozzy Osbourne documentary, 'The Nine Lives Of Ozzy Osbourne', in Birmingham on July 4, the day before the Back To The Beginning concert. Speaking at the Millennium Point Centre in Birmingham, Jack said: 'What are my three words to describe my dad? I would say funny, unique and powerful. He is an incredible man. He really is. His contribution to music is bigger than his faults. This whole weekend has been emotional.' Jack also revealed his dad's planned biopic; the production will be even more eagerly awaited by fans now. He said: 'We do have the film on the way. "We have a lot of good forward momentum on the Ozzy biopic. We have a director attached now and the script is done and Sony Studios is going to be producing it. 'We are really excited about it so maybe we will do the premiere here in Birmingham. It is about to go through a script rewrite. It's going to be raw. We are not pulling any punches, we are really laying it all out. The director we have is absolutely phenomenal. 'I can't say who he is but we are very lucky to have him and he is a die hard fan. I have the smiley knee tattoos that my dad has and he (our director) has them too. The film is in good hands. If the evil overlords of Hollywood give us the green light we could be filming in the spring so maybe it will be out summer 2027 fingers crossed.'

Ozzy Osbourne only wanted one star to play him as he addressed biopic before tragic death
Ozzy Osbourne has long been a screen star as well as a hard rock icon, and fans are now clamouring for a biopic about the Black Sabbath frontman following the sad news of his death Music icon Ozzy Osbourne possessed a distinctive brand of humour that captivated his fans - which is just one of the reasons behind the outpouring of love for him upon his death. The Prince of Darkness, who passed away aged 76 yesterday (Tuesday, July 22) was beloved as Black Sabbath's lead singer, and through his individual musical endeavours. But he was equally known for his irreverent humour and unique personality. Never more was that on display than during an interview back in 2010. By then, the legendary frontman was equal parts musician and reality TV star. Ozzy starred in the groundbreaking MTV reality series 'The Osbournes' throughout the early 2000s, when his particular style of comedy became evident to broader viewers for the first time. He appeared with his offspring, Jack and Kelly, in other projects later in his life, including Ozzy and Jack's World Detour, and alongside wife Sharon and Jack in The Osbournes Want to Believe. His remarkable journey has been documented in several films, including The Nine Lives of Ozzy Osbourne, which was broadcast on BBC Four in 2021. And now, supporters are demanding a biographical film to honour his legendary status. They may have their wish granted, as revealed by his son Jack. He disclosed that a biopic is "on the way", with a "phenomenal" filmmaker attached and a screenplay revision in progress. Jack maintains the picture would be "raw" and declared "we are not pulling any punches". But the most pressing question on everybody's mind is simple. Who would take on the starring part and the demanding task of depicting a heavy metal legend of Ozzy's magnitude? Some devoted fans have noticed that Ozzy had already identified his preferred candidate to portray him in a film about his existence. During a chat back in 2010, well before his death, Ozzy was posed the question. During an appearance on The Nerdist podcast, host Chris Hardwick asked him: "Who would you pick to play you in a movie about your life?" True to form, Ozzy delivered a characteristically blunt two-word response. The Black Sabbath frontman simply answered: "Denzel Washington". Now converted into a meme that has gone viral across social media following Ozzy's passing, supporters hail the moment as a perfect example of the rocker's trademark wit. Lovers of Ozzy's work have now called for the American actor to somehow appear in the forthcoming biographical film. Taking to Instagram, one fan commented: "Hopefully Someone who is probably working on the Ozzy biopic just needs to make this happen (or maybe put Denzel in a post credit scene where he's singing Crazy Train or War Pigs in costume)." A second person declared: "Don't go against a dead man's wish, make it happen." Meanwhile, another suggested: " Netflix getting ideas right now".
