It is the first time that Chelsea's No.10 has visited the island and he was given a rousing reception. Palmer was greeted by the deputy prime minister Dr. Hon. Prestatyn's Winter Fest confirmed to return for a third year

The festival has proved a great success since launching in 2023, but unlike the previous two years, will be a one-day event in 2025, rather than two-day. This year's Winter Fest will be held along the town's High Street on Saturday, November 22, from 10am until 8pm. A statement from the organisers read: 'Winter Fest is coming together wonderfully. This year, the event will be on for one day; Saturday, November 22 - it will run from 10am to 8pm. 'Christmas market, food and drink, entertainment, fairground rides, and so much more. A Shetland pony was among the special guests at Winter Fest last year (Image: Newsquest) 'If you are interested in having a stall at Winter Fest this year, please contact by direct message. Availability is limited due to high interest - we know it is only July!' Organised by Prestatyn Business Forum, one of the aims of Winter Fest is to 'encourage shopping local', shining a light on the town's business owners and their services. At last year's event, there were a number of stalls set up, including from La Crêperie, Daz's Extravagant Cakes and Bakes, and Kingsmans Cakes, while youngsters could also pet and feed a Shetland pony, or try the rides at the funfair.

"However, I regret to say that the breakfast was quite unappetising, and I was unable to eat it – it was that bad. "It tasted undercooked and of very low quality.
