EA Sports College Football 26 Predicts the 2025 Season
I pre-ordered the deluxe edition of "EA Sports College Football 26" and jumped in the second it went live.
Before even touching Road to Glory or Ultimate Team, I ran a fullDynasty Mode simulation-complete with coaching changes, transfers, and the 16-team College Football Playoff.
This is one of the very first EA CFB26 season sims you'll see online-maybe the first. And if what played out is even remotely close to what happens this fall, we're in for chaos.
In case you missed it, Alabama's Ryan Williams and Ohio State's Jeremiah Smith are featured on the cover.
Here's what the game predicts - the Heisman winner, the national champion, the Playoff field and some pretty wild postseason results.
National Champion
Penn State capped off a 15-1 season by dominating Georgia 38-14 in the national title game.
The Nittany Lions were consistent all year and knocked off Texas in the semifinal to reach the championship stage.
With an elite defense and balanced offense in the sim, Penn State looked like the most complete team from start to finish.
Heisman Winner
Zachariah Branch, who is now at Georgia, took home the Heisman Trophy after a monster season in Athens.
He finished with 1,733 receiving yards and 18 touchdowns. Other finalists included Byrum Brown from USF, Gunner Stockton from Georgia, Ryan Williams from Alabama, and Romello Brinson from SMU.
Branch's explosive playmaking gave Georgia a spark all season long.
Coach of the Year
Kirby Smart earned Coach of the Year honors after leading Georgia to a 14-2 record and a dominant semifinal win over Baylor.
The Bulldogs looked like a machine through most of the year, falling only in the title game.
16-Team Playoff Field
Penn State Georgia Oregon Texas UCLA Baylor Duke Clemson Texas Tech BYU Miami Navy
First round highlights included Navy upsetting UCLA, BYU slipping past Duke, Miami knocking off Baylor, and Texas Tech battling past Clemson.
Semifinal Results
Penn State defeated Texas 35-21 Georgia took down Baylor 30-20
Final Takeaway?
No, it's not a crystal ball. But it's the most fun simulation we've got right now, especially with FPI and other models not fully updated yet.
And based on these results? If you're a fan of Penn State or Georgia, you might want to pay attention.

Dwight Howard's wife files for divorce just six months after marriage: report
Amber Rose Howard, the rapper and reality star wife of former NBA center Dwight Howard, has reportedly filed for divorce six months after the couple tied the knot. Rose, who goes by the stage name Amy Luciani, filed for divorce on July 1 in Georgia, claiming that the marriage was "irretrievably broken," TMZ Sports reported, citing court documents. The documents also state that Rose is requesting alimony, asking that the marital assets and property be "equally divided." Rose has also removed any pictures of Howard from her social media accounts. Their relationship was made public in December, as they revealed being engaged to each other on Instagram. Rose also released a children's book with Howard as her last name. Rose's reality fame comes from her time on Seasons 11 and 12 of "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta." She also released an album entitled "Amy's World" in 2023. Meanwhile, Howard spent 18 seasons in the NBA, ultimately putting together a career worthy of the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. He was an eight-time All-Star, three-time Defensive Player of the Year, and won an NBA title with the Los Angeles Lakers during the 2020-21 season. Howard's stardom began with the Orlando Magic, who drafted him first overall out of Southwest Atlanta Christian Academy in Atlanta, Georgia, in 2004. He spent eight seasons with Orlando before joining the Lakers on his first of three stints with the team. Howard also played for the Houston Rockets, Atlanta Hawks, Charlotte Hornets, Washington Wizards and Philadelphia 76ers. Howard, who has not publicly discussed the divorce filing, is in the middle of his first season with Ice Cube's BIG3 League. As the EA Sports College Football 26 game officially releases, it appears that one of the more popular teams to play with might just end up being the Alabama Crimson Tide. Announced by the game recently, Alabama is actually the highest-rated college football team in the game, owning an overall rating of 89. The Crimson Tide also have the game's seventh-best offense at an 89 rating, as well as the best defense with an overall rating of 96. As expected with a team rating that high as well, Alabama likely has to have some highly-rated individual players also, and well, that is exactly what the Crimson Tide do in fact have in the game. Alabama has a total of seven players among the Top 100 highest-rated overall players in the game, regardless of position, four of which come on offense. Those players, as well as ratings, are Ryan Williams (95), Kadyn Proctor (94), Jaeden Roberts (92), Tim Keenan III (92), Bray Hubbard (91), Deontae Lawson (91), and Parker Brailsford (91). EA Sports College Football Ratings: Where Florida football players are ranked
EA Sports released its Top 100 players in its College Football 26 video game ratings on July 1. No surprise, Ohio State football wide receiver Jeremiah Smith came in as the No. 1-rated player overall with an overall rating of 98. Advertisement Beyond that, only one Florida football player cracked the Top 100. Two-year Florida Gators starting center Jake Slaughter, an All-American last season, came in at No. 47 with a player rating of 93 and a strength rating of 90. Florida football sophomore quarterback D.J. Lagway, who appeared on the Deluxe Cover, did not crack the Top 100 but ranked 10th among college football quarterbacks with a player rating of 90. Lagway posted a 6-1 record as a starting quarterback for UF as a true freshman, passing for 1,915 yards with 12 TDs to nine interceptions. The game will see a full release July 10 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It will be the second in the title's return following an 11-year hiatus.
