Ed Sheeran's disturbing truth about life in the spotlight
The global superstar, who recently announced his 2026 Australian tour, revealed on Sunday that he's been forced to employ extensive security measures to protect his children from extreme fans.

'It's things that people don't really even take into account,' Sheeran told 60 Minutes.
'Like kidnap threats and s**t like that. We've had attempted break-ins, things left on my car.

Sheeran is fiercely protective of his daughters and does not allow fans to take photos of them.
'I've had some real arguments before,' he said.
'I'm fine with taking pictures, but I just think it's weird with a four-year-old and a three-year-old.'
But Sheeran accepts: 'To be within the public sphere, you have to take it all, the good and the bad.'
'We have a level of security that probably won't change until I pass away. That's just our life now.'
The English singer-songwriter returns to Perth for the first Aussie leg of his Loop Tour in January 2026, marking his first national performances since 2023.
Announcing 11 shows across Australia and New Zealand in the summer, the four-time Grammy winner will touch down in WA for a singular Optus Stadium performance on January 31.

Sheeran's forthcoming project Play — his eighth studio album — is due for release on September 12, with tracks Old Phone, Azizam and Sapphire already released.
The album signals the conclusion of his three-year, 168-show Mathematics Tour that breached Aussie shores in 2023.
'Starting a brand new tour next year called the LOOP tour. New stage, new tricks, new set up, new songs and all the classics added in,' Sheeran told fans upon the tour announcement.
Sheeran has impressively sold in excess of 2.5 million tickets in his previous jaunts through Australia and New Zealand.
General sale tickets will begin from 3pm WST July 29, with pre-sale for Telstra and Frontier members staggered from July 25.

Shortly after the Cruise cursing was released, the "Jerry Maguire" actor reportedly confronted Liam at a hotel in Berlin. Heidi Klum 'doesn't worry about age-shaming'
Heidi Klum thinks society has become "more welcoming of wrinkles". The 52-year-old model has suggested that attitudes towards ageing have changed in recent years, observing that it's now "okay to be older". Heidi told People: "I feel like we're more welcoming of wrinkles and rolls on our body. Being accepted at every age is amazing. That we've changed and come all that way." Heidi doesn't have any fears of "age-shaming or body-shaming". She shared: "For me to be older, it doesn't matter. I don't have this age-shaming or body-shaming thing. I feel like everyone should do what they want to do. I like to run around sexy — even now at 52." Heidi actually loves posting sexy photos of herself on social media. Aubrey O'Day claims Diddy influenced her surgery decisions
Aubrey O'Day has suggested Sean 'Diddy' Combs influenced her decision to get plastic surgery. The 41-year-old singer stars in Danity Kane, the band created by Diddy, and Aubrey has revealed how the hip-hop star influenced her decision to go under the knife. During an appearance on Botched Presents: Plastic Surgery Rewind, Aubrey explained: "It started with being in a girl group. The demands I noticed of my looks. Diddy was ... this is a hard topic for me. I was the sexy one, and that needed to be who I was at all times." Aubrey admitted to having one big regret about her surgeries, describing her lips as being "very ducky". She said: "I immediately think of these f****** lips on the top of my face. "They're, like, very uneven, they stick out, they're very ducky. You know, not all surgeons are built the same and some don't have the balls to tell you we need to stop here." Diddy was recently found guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution at a trial in New York. However, the music mogul was acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering charges. The cultural weight of this decision is immeasurable. Meanwhile, Aubrey denied having plastic surgery in a 2019 interview. The singer claimed at the time that she simply knew lots of beauty "tricks". Aubrey told Us Weekly: "I've had lip fillers and Botox. I put a lot of filters. I know all the tricks and I use them." The music star also insisted she's not bothered by criticism of her appearance. Asked if she's concerned by her critics, Aubrey replied: "Not at all. When I was 17 maybe. I think the worst comment I ever read, and then I didn't read any more, was, 'She looks like an old leather handbag that's been put in the dryer 15 times.' That was one of my faves."
