Gov't media: Malnutrition kills 66 children so far
Gaza - Saba: The government media office in Gaza announced on Saturday that the number of children killed as a result of malnutrition has risen to 66, due to the closure of crossings, the tightening of the blockade, and the prevention of the entry of milk, nutritional supplements, and food. In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the office expressed deep concern and condemnation over the rising number of children killed as a result of severe malnutrition, reaching 66 children. This is due to the continued closure of crossings by the Zionist enemy and the prevention of the entry of baby milk and nutritional supplements intended for vulnerable and vulnerable groups, especially infants and the sick. The office stated that this behavior constitutes a war crime and a crime against humanity, revealing the deliberate use of starvation by the "Israeli" enemy as a weapon to exterminate civilians, especially children, in flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and the Geneva Conventions. The office strongly condemned this ongoing crime against childhood in the Gaza Strip, denouncing the shameful international silence regarding the suffering of children who are left to suffer from hunger, disease, and slow death. The office held the "Israeli" enemy fully responsible for this catastrophe, and held the countries supporting and complicit in the crime of genocide, primarily the United States, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, responsible for their active participation in these grave violations. He called on the international community, the United Nations, and Arab and Islamic countries to urgently intervene and pressure the enemy to open the crossings immediately, allow food and medical supplies to enter, and save the remaining children and patients before it is too late. Iran demands WHO condemn Zionist-American military aggression
Geneva - Saba: Ali Bahreini, Iran's Permanent Ambassador and Representative to the United Nations in Geneva, has formally called on the Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) to condemn the recent military attacks launched by the Zionist entity and the United States against Iran. In an official letter, Bahreini denounced the "illegal and unjustified Zionist-American military attacks on Iranian territory," urging the WHO to condemn these actions and take decisive measures to hold the perpetrators accountable. Bahreini emphasized that the Zionist attacks had damaged seven hospitals and medical centers across Iran, resulting in the deaths of 627 people—including medical staff and rescue workers—and injuring 4,935 others. In another part of the letter, Iran's UN envoy highlighted the catastrophic consequences of the deliberate attacks by the Zionist entity and the U.S. on Iran's peaceful nuclear facilities. He warned that these actions endanger the lives of people in Iran and the region, stressing that they violate the WHO's constitution and approved resolutions. Earlier, Iran's Minister of Health, Treatment, and Medical Education, Mohammad Reza Zafarqandi, had separately addressed the Zionist regime's illegal attacks on Iranian medical centers in a letter, calling on the WHO to condemn these measures.
