Report: Browns QB Kenny Pickett injured during practice

July 27 - Cleveland Browns quarterback Kenny Pickett reportedly went down with a hamstring injury during Saturday's training camp session, casting uncertainty over his early momentum in a crowded quarterback competition. Sources told ESPN that Pickett sustained the injury while rolling to his right and throwing a touchdown during the final red zone drill of the day. The severity of the injury remains unclear and the Browns reportedly expect to re-evaluate him later this week. Pickett had been making a strong case to become the Browns' starter, taking a majority of the first-team reps during the opening week of training camp. Browns quarterbacks coach Bill Musgrave described his performance in the first two practices as "stellar," particularly praising his accuracy. Pickett's early success had seemingly put him ahead in the four-man competition, which includes veteran Joe Flacco and rookies Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders. The injury now opens the door for the remaining quarterbacks to gain valuable reps. Flacco, entering his 18th NFL season, has rotated with Pickett throughout camp and brings veteran leadership to the position group. Gabriel, a third-round pick out of Oregon, has had limited time with the first team, while Sanders, a fifth-round pick from Colorado, has yet to take any first-team snaps. Pickett, a 2022 first-round pick by the Pittsburgh Steelers, was traded to the Browns in March by the Philadelphia Eagles. Cleveland gave up a fifth-round pick and young quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson in the deal. With the Browns declining his fifth-year option, Pickett is set to become a free agent after the 2025 season. --Field Level Media

Sopranos star reveals mental health issues almost 'destroyed' his life

A Sopranos star has revealed his struggle with mental health issues nearly 'destroyed' his life and family. Joe Pantoliano, 73, who is one of many Hollywood A-listers considering moving to another country, shared he struggled with clinical depression for nearly a decade before getting a diagnosis. To relieve his symptoms, the actor, who starred as Ralph Cifaretto in the Emmy -winning crime drama told Page Six he would self-medicate via what he called his 'seven deadly symptoms.' ' Alcohol, what was available, women, you know, risky behavior, act first and then ask questions second,' the actor told the outlet on Thursday. The Goonies actor admitted he was a 'mess for a long time,' and attributed some of his problems to growing up with a mother who also suffered from mental health challenges. 'My wife [actress Nancy Sheppard] and my kids were ready to throw me out,' he said. 'The only people who were happy to see me weren't people. They were my dogs.' the actor recalled. The Last of Us star, who is currently starring in the off-Broadway show Ginger Twinsies, also credited his pups with saving his life. 'It was the only spark that was left in me. I was like Tinkerbell and the light was dying,' he explained. Pantoliano finally received a diagnosis in 2007. Two year later her found an organization called, No Kidding, Me Too! to help take away the stigma around mental health struggles. 'We've done such a great job,' he said. 'Our mission for No Kidding, Me Too! was to make the discussion of mental disease cool and trendy,' he said, adding, 'And we've succeeded. You can't get them to shut up now!' After his show closes on October 26, Pantoliano and his wife may pull up sticks and move to Europe amid all the political chaos in the United States. 'It's hard for me to think about people's bulls*** like making a TV show. The world is on fire; it's hard for me to concentrate,' Pantoliano said. In a recent video on social media he told his fans, 'Nancy and I were in Portugal for a couple of weeks.' 'We actually looked into getting visas so that we could live there part of the time, or most of the time.' 'It's a great place to retire,' he added, saying, 'It suits me. I love to walk; I take amazing walks there.' Other celebrities such as Rosie O'Donnell, Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi, designer Tom Ford, along with Ryan Gosling and partner Eva Mendes have already moved abroad.

Shirtless Tom Brady shows off ripped physique on yacht in Ibiza as NFL legend, 47, enjoys offseason vacation

Fox Sports analyst and seven-time Super Bowl champion quarterback Tom Brady was spotted enjoying himself in the sun off the coast of Spain. Brady was seen enjoying the rays and the waves on a yacht off the coast of the Spanish nightlife hotspot of Ibiza on Saturday. A shirtless Brady unknowingly flaunted his physique as he was seen with ripped muscles and wet hair on a gorgeous afternoon. On his Instagram story on Sunday, Brady showed a video of his friends jumping into a pool onboard the yacht while trying to dunk a basketball. Brady tagged entrepreneur Will Makris in the video. On Saturday, Makris shared a gallery of photos of himself along with Brady, the quarterback's son Jack, and Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin. The summer has been full of travels and relaxation for Brady as he prepares for another long football season. This time, it'll be his first full-season as a part-owner of the Las Vegas Raiders. Last year, Brady's purchase of a partial stake in the team was confirmed by NFL owners. The owners also put in guardrails to prevent the Fox Sports color commentator from gaining access to practices and privileged information that could help the Raiders. Earlier this month, Brady was spotted in the luxury box of President Donald Trump at MetLife Stadium for the Club World Cup Final between Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain. The NFL icon could be seen walking on the MetLife Stadium sideline before the game with Patriots owner Robert Kraft and Fanatics founder Michael Rubin. But he also made his way into Trump's suite at one point, with the Commander-in-Chief seen in the background of one photo as Brady had a conversation. Brady caused controversy in 2015 when a 'Make America Great Again' hat was spotted in his locker, and he later called Trump a 'good friend' during an appearance that year on WEEI. However, he declined to answer in a press conference when asked if he was in support of Trump's first run for office. In 2022, he told Variety that the pair hadn't spoken in 'a lot of years,' and that the nature of their relationship had been 'mischaracterized' by the media. Kraft, meanwhile, has said that he was previously a 'social friend' of Trump's and donated to his first inauguration. However, he revealed on The Breakfast Club last year that he had also ceased contact with the president. 'I will say this: I was very upset [with] what happened January 6,' Kraft said. 'And I haven't talked to him since then.'
