Fans are convinced he will be making a 'surprise' appearance at the huge music event - especially as he has done it before.
Dave Grohl, 56, has sent fans into a spin after posing for a photo with US singer Amanda Palmer at London's Royal Albert Hall.
Amanda was backstage at a gig by rock band Yeah Yeah Yeahs when she bumped into the Foo Fighters legend.
After grabbing Dave for a photo, she shared it on social media and told her followers: "Well I'll be damned. Not who I expected to run into backstage at the Yeah Yeah Yeah's show in London tonight, but look, it's Dave Grohl.
She added: "We shared a sweet conversation mostly singing the cosmic praises of Melissa auf der Maur, whose magnificence truly obscures both of us.
"It was really nice to meet you, Dave."
Writing on Reddit, fans have been quick to make the connection between Dave's trip to London and next week's Glastonbury Festival.
In 2023, a mystery act called The Churn Ups caused a stir when they featured on the Pyramid Stage bill.
Fans went into a frenzy trying to work out who the band was, before they were eventually unmasked as The Foo Fighters.
Starting a new thread on Reddit, music fans are now convinced Dave will be making another surprise appearance at Glastonbury.
Fans slam Glastonbury as 'worst one ever' as full lineup announced
One wrote: "Dave Grohl is in London, likely will be at the festival. Has done bits with John Fogerty in the past and other acts. Surely will be popping up at places this year?"
Another replied: "Drumming for Alanis Morrisette possibly? Tribute for Taylor Hawkins?"
And a third added: "100% will be milling about - I'd say a couple of guest appearances are a safe bet. Maybe Alanis for a song or Neil Young for an encore."
The Foo Fighters' surprise Glastonbury set in 2023 was the first time the band had been at the festival since headlining in 2017.
It was also their first major gig in the UK following the death of the band's drummer Taylor Hawkins, who passed away in March 2022 aged 50.
Taylor had joined The Foo Fighters in 1997 and, prior to that, was the drummer on Alanis Morrissette's tour.
Canadian musician Alanis is listed to perform on the Pyramid Stage at 6.15pm next Friday (June 27), which would be the perfect time for Dave to appear.
Other headliners this year include The 1975, Neil Young, Olivia Rodrigo, Charli XCX, Doechii and The Prodigy.
Glastonbury 2025 - confirmed acts so far
TICKETS to the 2025 festival sold out in just minutes before some of the acts were even confirmed. Here is who has been confirmed so far.
Confirmed headliners: The 1975 will take to the Pyramid Stage on Friday.
Neil Young will headline the festival for the second time after his last set in 2009 on Saturday after RAYE makes her return.
Charli xcx will headline the Other Stage on Saturday night.
On Sunday, Olivia Rodrigo is due to belt out her hits for her first appearance while Rod Stewart will perform in the legends slot.
More acts to appear on the Other Stage include Loyle Carner and The Prodigy.
Doechii will make her Glastonbury debut on the West Holts Stage on Saturday night.
Other names confirmed include Noah Kahan, Alanis Morissette, Gracie Abrams, Busta Rhymes, Lola Young, Brandi Carlile, Myles Smith, En Vogue, Amaarae, Cymande, Shaboozey, Osees and Gary Numan.
Rod Stewart will also be performing in the Legends slot, having previously headlined at Worthy Farm 23 years ago.
This week, the rock icon revealed in an interview how much he is being paid to perform this year - and how much he is set to lose.
Rod told the Radio Times: "It was about eight months ago when I was asked to do it, maybe a little longer. But it didn't fit with my schedule because I've got to bring everybody back from America.
"It's going to cost me £300,000 to do it and they only pay you about 120,000 quid. So it's going to cost me."

Politics at Glastonbury a 'festival within a festival'

As Glastonbury Festival enters its final day, with performances from Rod Stewart and Olivia Rodrigo to look forward to, so too is its political programme. While the festival has changed beyond recognition from its free-flowing, flower power roots, it has tried to retain its political edge, which is unashamedly site is covered with messages about climate change, environmental activism, international aid and human rights. Speakers this year include Gary Lineker, Deborah Meaden and a hustings for the leadership hopefuls of the Green Michael Eavis reportedly told journalists this week that people who do not agree with the politics of the event "can go somewhere else". But what do those who are at the festival think of its ideas and values? Glastonbury: The 1975 deliver a polished, but safe headline slotIn pictures: Glastonbury Festival day threeWhy there will be no Glastonbury Festival in 2026'We want to give you best seat in house for Glasto' Stood in front of a huge CND (Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament) sign in the Green Futures part of the site, Noma said: "As someone who is active on the climate space, for me it's really inspiring being in this sort of area." It is here that the festival most retains its 1970s roots, with workshops, political talks and messages supporting environmental activism. "It's like a festival within a festival," Noma adds. "I think Glastonbury has a reputation for being a hippy festival," said her friend Samerine."But there's a lot of cool stuff around and loads of information and people are getting to learn things here." The festival has long championed environmental causes, and slogans about the climate crisis can be seen all around. It's also true however that today's Glastonbury attracts the mega-rich, some of whom arrive on political commentator and author Ash Sarkar, another speaker at the festival this year, this is a problem."When it comes to the helicopters and yurts, not only do I find that disturbing in terms of ostentatious displays of wealth, you're also missing the best part of being here," she said. "You've got thousands of people having a good time together, a collective experience. So if you want to avoid all that, not only are you a mug for spending that much money, you're not going to have a very good time." Speaking to BBC Politics West, former conservative MP Jacob Rees-Mogg, said he would not enjoy Glastonbury Festival, which he added "isn't my scene". "I'd rather go frankly to Glyndebourne," he what a festival for people right of the centre would look like, Rees-Mogg replied: "Oh, it would probably be mock battles from the civil war and little bit of jousting, that sort of thing." Back in Glastonbury, Chris, from Oxford, went to the first event at Worthy Farm, then called Pilton Pop, Folk and Blues Festival, held in 1970. "I was at Catholic boarding school. I bunked off and wandered around carrying my school uniform in my bag. It was completely free and anarchic," he said. "It completely changed my life. A lot of the stuff that was being talked about 10 years ago is now mainstream."People thought you couldn't run a stage on renewable power, now it's really quite easy to do."Whilst the music has diversified incredibly over the past 20 years, the politics here remains steadfastly left-wing."Should the festival though become more welcoming to those with other political views?"There's probably a few Tories here, a sprinkling of Reform," Chris said."But this is about positive joy, fun, progress and creating a better world. Quite a lot of that tends to align with the left."Ms Sarkar agrees. "You can't have everything for everyone," she said."If you want, you can set-up your own Reform music festival and I'm sure the ever entrepreneurial Nigel Farage has considered it." For Jason, from Manchester, and Rowan, from Leeds, who are both part of the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) community, the idea of being amongst similarly minded people having a good time, is part of the point of the waiting to be served a cream tea, they said there are two different sides to the festival, "the intense and the really wholesome"."A lot of us and our friends are very friendly, welcoming, open-minded people," said Rowan. "It's not just like-minded people, it's acceptance. You can be who you want here and the way people dress or hold themselves is incredible."

The claims comes as the Pirates of the Caribbean actor, 48, "made his debut as a single man" at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez's A-List wedding of the year. It came after he was caught "ogling" the Skims founder and Hulu Tv star in an image taken on a night out with popstar Katy, 40. For her part, the Roar hitmaker is said to have already told pals their relationship was as good as done. And now a source has suggested the Hollywood A-Listers, who share daughter Daisy, are on the same page and said: "They had broken up before and in the following years things could get tense and to a point where it was often make or break, and they would choose to make up. "But shortly after her Video Vanguard Award and performance in September, they started to disconnect more as she was getting ready to release music, go on tour and take the space flight. "After the holidays and into the New Year, it was just one little thing after another." They added to MailOnline: "He isn't going to try to get her back. "It's over and he has accepted it." The Sun has gone to reps for Katy and Orlando for comment. LETTING SLIP It has previously been claimed that Katy - who is on tour in Australia - had told her mates their engagement was over at the start of the year, before removing her engagement ring. The Kardashians are leading the world's A-listers flocking to Venice for Jeff Bezos and his bride Lauren Sanchez's ultra-rich wedding of the century A source close to the couple said at the time: 'Katy confided in friends at the start of the year that their relationship was as good as done. 'They decided to hold off on announcing anything in case things improved between them, because they are desperate to stay together for the sake of their daughter. "But they have spent barely any time together this year, with Katy on tour and Orlando working on his upcoming film Bucking Fastard in Dublin. 'She knew that taking off her engagement ring would send a clear message. 'It's been a hard year so far. They wanted to wait until the tour is over before they made their split official, although Katy has grown tired of the situation.' The couple started dating in 2016 and got engaged three years later. However, The Sun understands they had difficult conversations about their future over Christmas and in January but struggled to make a firm decision. Reps for the couple refused to comment when approached about their separation in February and again this week. ALL CHANGE Last week, The Sun reported how Orlando and Katy held crisis talks to try to save their relationship after leading increasingly separate lives. American news website TMZ then said Brit-born Orlando would be 'the life of the party' and that he would be hitting 'the dancefloor hard' when he arrives in Italy for the nuptials. An insider said: 'No one has decided it's definitely the end of the road for Katy and Orlando. 'They both love each other, but they have been living different lives for at least a year and in different mindsets.' It's understood Orlando and Katy are planning on reuniting on July 4 when there is a break in her touring schedule. The insider added: 'They have barely been together for a decent amount of time, without distractions, for many, many months.' Tensions within their relationship also reached boiling point after Katy's flight to space on board Jeff's Blue Origin. Katy, along with Lauren and Gayle King, were hit with a public backlash and those close to Orlando said he had warned Katy about taking part. They said: 'From day one, Orlando didn't think going on the Blue Origin mission was a good idea, and knew she would face a backlash.' 7 Sources claim Orlando's relationship with Katy is 'over and he's accepted it' Credit: Getty 7 He was seen embracing Kim Kardashian at the stunning Venice wedding Credit: BackGrid
