‘Modern Family' child star Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, who played Lily, comes out as bisexual
Aubrey Anderson-Emmons played Lily Tucker-Pritchett, the adopted daughter of a same-sex couple, on the 22-time Emmy-winning series. And on Sunday, she took to TikTok to announce that she is bisexual. In her post, the 18-year-old lip-syncs to audio of a scene from the hit ABC show.
'No, I'm not, I'm gay! I'm gay!' her character says, while her stepgrandmother, Sofia Vergara's Gloria Delgado-Pritchett, tells her 'You are Vietnamese.' Her father Mitchell Pritchett, played by Jesse Tyler Ferguson, responds, 'You're not gay, you're just confused ... Oh my God, what is wrong with me?'
However, the reveal came in the layover text, in which Anderson-Emmons wrote, 'People keep joking so much abt [sic] me being gay when I literally am (I'm bi).' The caption said, 'happy pride month and to all a good night.'
Many fans rejoiced in the comments, with one claiming she was 'the sassy princess raised by two queens,' referencing her parents in the show, Mitchell Pritchett and Cameron Tucker (Eric Stonestreet).
Another simply joked that she was 'half gay, half Vietnamese,' based on the audio.
'Modern Family' has long been celebrated for its LGBTQ+ representation, with a specific highlight being the marriage between Mitch and Cam. Anderson-Emmons' character joined the show in its third season.
During its 11-season run, the show earned nomination in the category of Outstanding Comedy Series at the GLAAD Media Awards for 10 consecutive years, winning in both 2011 and 2012.
Since the series ended in April 2020, Anderson-Emmons has pivoted toward a music career. She recently released a single, 'Telephones and Traffic,' and teased another single, 'Don't Forget Me,' out on June 27.

Unreleased music by Beyoncé along with footage, show plans and concert set lists were stolen from a car in Atlanta rented by the singer's choreographer and one of her dancers, according to a police incident report. The theft of the materials, stored on five thumb drives, happened on July 8, two days before Beyoncé began a four-day residency at Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Beyoncé was set to take the stage Monday evening for her last night in the city. The Atlanta Police Department said in a news release Monday it has secured an arrest warrant for a suspect whose identity was withheld. Two MacBook laptops, Apple headphones, as well as luxury clothing and accessories were also reported stolen, according to the incident report. Beyoncé's choreographer, Christopher Grant, and dancer Diandre Blue told police they parked their rental car, a 2024 Jeep Wagoneer, at a food hall in the city at about 8:09 p.m. The pair returned to the car just after 9 p.m. to discover the trunk window had been damaged and two suitcases had been taken. Grant told officers that 'he was also carrying some personal sensitive information for the musician Beyonce,' the police incident report stated. The report identifies a possible suspect vehicle as a 2025 red Hyundai Elantra. Responding officers were able to identify 'light prints' at the scene, and security cameras in the parking lot captured the incident, according to the report. Officers canvassed an area where the stolen laptop and headphones were tracked by using the devices' location services, the report stated. Beyoncé kicked off her highly-anticipated tour in late April, taking her Grammy-winning album, 'Cowboy Carter,' to stadiums in the U.S. and Europe. The singer will end her tour with two Las Vegas nights in late July.

Actor and singer Lizzo has once again sparked intense controversy among fans over weight and body image. In a new video shared online, the "Juice" performer shared her thoughts on "thin-presenting" people who allegedly shame those with "bigger bodies," essentially telling them to stay in their lane. In a passionate clip shared on TikTok, Lizzo opened up once again about body image and said she felt called to address this because she's someone who really "cares about people." She then took aim at "thin-presenting" people who she feels have a need to criticize those in "bigger bodies." "It's not your place to criticize how they choose to live in that body, how they choose to change that body, and it's not your place to criticize how they share that experience on the internet or with anyone," she said. Lizzo also singled out those who have lost weight and now speak negatively about others with bigger bodies, calling their behavior "inappropriate." She stated, "You of all people should understand that bodies change." On TikTok, many users agreed with Lizzo and praised the "About D-mn Time" singer for "educating people on body acceptance." Another user chimed in, offering a broader perspective. "It's no one's 'place' to speak on anyone — big or skinny," they wrote. "The entire conversation around body positivity tiptoes pessimism [and] projection." "I think that generally people think because now something is available and popular, they're not going to give people props. People would rather hate before they give people props," he said. Shaun-T then celebrated Lizzo's fitness journey and her ability in the gym. "I have trained Lizzo. Like, I have worked out with her, I have danced with her. Lizzo is very fit," he said. "People think, like, just because someone's like a quote-unquote plus size person ... they're not fit." As Shaun-T continued, he shared a message similar to the one Lizzo shared in her TikTok above. He may be full-grown, but he truly is the biggest baby around!This boy's name is not shared anywhere on his mom's TikTok, but there are plenty of videos about him. He's the sweetest: whenever he can, he accompanies his parents in adventures! They go on road trips, on walks, and out to other places. Unfortunately, there are just some places he's not allowed to visit. He's very well-behaved, but he's not legally a service dog. He's not allowed in most stores or restaurants, which means that errand day is a very sad day for him! That's okay. He makes up for it by taking up most of mom's bed every night: German Shepherds are a high-needs breed. They need a lot of exercise and attention to stay happy, otherwise they may develop issues like destructive tendencies or anxiety. If they're left alone for long periods every day, they may get bored. However, it's also important to train them on how to be alone. Dogs should be able to be alone for an hour or two, at least. Dogs with severe separation anxiety can be medicated or even put in daycare/boarding facilities to avoid being alone. Despite the fact that he greets them like they just got back from the war, this sweet boy does great at home alone! He just loves and misses his parents at the same time.
